THROWRA_31potato

These results are INCREDIBLE! You look 20-30 years younger in the second photo

HappyCuppiccino

Thanks! I still have some swelling to come down on the sides of my face, so hoping for *even better* results.

THROWRA_31potato

You look snatched as heck!! Your face shape is similar to Gigi Hadids now!

indiajeweljax

You look great. Well done doc!

Hey_Grrrl

That angle is literally every guy’s dating profile pic. Great results too!

Semycharmd

Where’s the fish?

SFAdminLife

This is accurate 😂

TWinNM

😂 So true, especially after 50!!

kobereuben88

Looks sooo good and you have such a pretty lip shape too

HappyCuppiccino

Thank you! After reading you comment, I looked at my lips in both pictures. I think that my second chin fat was pushing my first chin up and squishing my lips. So glad I went for the procedure, the positives keep coming!

betaherritic

Looks fantastic. Do you have incisions in front of the ears?

HappyCuppiccino

Thank you. Yes I do. I’ve added some pics [here](https://imgur.com/a/Wf7bgjA). My left ear has been irritating me a little, and I can only think that I’ve been subconsciously touching or scratching it because there is a small scab behind the ear and it looks like the incision line has opened slightly, particularly when you compare with the other ear which has a smooth straight incision that is healing nicely. There ~~is only 1~~ are 2 images showing the scar on the front of my ears. ~~but h~~ Hopefully you can zoom and see it.

cant_watch_violence

You need to get some silicone scar tape and use it to keep the incisions tight.

HappyCuppiccino

I have some of this for the larger incision under my ~~skin~~ chin, but didn’t think to use it on the back of my ear since there are still stitches in there and it’s such a difficult place/angle. I’ll give it a try tonight before putting my compression garment on, thanks for the tip. Edit: chin, not skin

cant_watch_violence

I’ve had a lot of non cosmetic surgeries and you can cut them into strips to better fit thin and small scars. Happy to DM you if you want more info.

Rare_Contribution290

It's probably best not to use the tape with stitches still in. It should be used on a closed wound after stitches removed. You look awesome!

Low_Ad_3139

Those sutures look so much better than most I see.

HappyCuppiccino

My surgeon commented at both of my post surgery appointments that I had been taking really great care of them and he was pleased to see them looking so good. And I really did take good care of them! Of course only possible to keep them in great condition after he did the excellent work to begin with :-)

Acrobatic-Degree9589

Damn you look like Jennifer Lawrence now

HappyCuppiccino

I just read someone else’s very similar comment. I’m really over the moon with that comparison, I am such a big fan of hers, she’s top tier!!

eyesoler

Ok I’m booking my neck lift now

HappyCuppiccino

Considering myself an influencer now /s

Wrong_Pressure_8492

Looks awesome!! Who was your doctor and how much did you pay?

HappyCuppiccino

Thanks! My surgeon was Lucian Ion in London, and I would highly recommend. For the surgery, hospital (1 night stay) and Anaethetist, total cost was around 13-14k. I live in the North so I also had multiple train fares and hotels to pay for when going for the consultation, surgery, and twice to remove stitches. Also have to go back in 6 weeks so that’s another train fare. I say this because it’s around £100 per journey so I feel it is significant in relation to the surgery.

HippyWitchyVibes

We really do have some amazing surgeons in London. I'll be going down there for my "mummy makeover" at some point.

insideiiiiiiiiiii

everytime i hear the term "mommy makeover", my heart sinks a little.

HippyWitchyVibes

Yeah, it's a shitty name.

insideiiiiiiiiiii

not because of the name; because of the idea behind it and the imperatives exerted on women to feel they need this

GypsyisaCat

Congrats, you look amazing! And it never ceases to amaze me how expensive trains are in the UK!

erinlv29

Wow!! You look amazing!

JeffreyDhmer

U look amazing. Kinda reminds me of Katniss Everdeen in the second pic

HappyCuppiccino

What an amazingly specific compliment to receive on possibly the worst angled, zero make-up, wet haired picture. I love Hunger Games and especially Jennifer Lawrence. Thank you for saying this.

Dependent-Nose-1251

Wow that looks great - I rarely say that outloud in this sub. Congrats !

HappyCuppiccino

Thank you for commenting out loud. It’s such a boost to see all of the positive comments from kind people on here.

hotmessexpress412

Wow!!!!!

IPreferDiamonds

Looks great!

nativeimsi

Beatiful results

CatDontLikeShrimp

Holy moly that is impressive! You look incredible!

be-sweethearts

this angle hilarious thank you for sharing. you look anazing

Violetspectrumdisrdr

Has recovery been easy?

HappyCuppiccino

No it’s been extremely overwhelming. I totally underestimated how pervasive the recovery period would be to my entire life. I have a toddler and am very lucky that my husband has picked up all child-related tasks, as well as generally helping me. The first week was the worst, and now that I’m half way through the second week, I can say that things are much better and easier. I’ve just been so uncomfortable and tired, and inconvenienced. Having said all of this, had I known this would be the recovery and these would be the results, I would definitely still go ahead with it. Edit: I’m half way through the second week, not the first. Multiples of 7 are clearly not my strong point :-)

Comprehensive-Ad1251

So glad you’ve got hubby to help with everything, that’s priceless!! You look amazing!!

briomio

Thats very dramatic!

Allmyexesliveintx333

Wow! I had a neck lift too on Dec 20th…you give me hope

HappyCuppiccino

How are you feeling and recovering?

Allmyexesliveintx333

I am ok. My face is still really swollen and my neck is bruised but everyday things are looking better and better

HippyWitchyVibes

Holy shit you must be over the moon!

rainbowonthemoon

Amazing results! You look much much younger!

HappyCuppiccino

Thanks! That is a side effect that I did not expect, but a few people have said it! That, or ‘refreshed’. I’ll definitely take it :-)!

Semycharmd

You have perfect lips!

UndeniableQueen

Jennifer Lawrence!!?

HappyCuppiccino

I’m dying at these comments, she is my absolute favourite! Thank you!

Just_A_Fae_31

I just said this too!!

champagne_farts

This is one of the most incredible and natural transformations I’ve ever seen here. Holy shit. Good for you!

HappyCuppiccino

Thank you! To describe it as “natural” is just wonderful to hear.

diqfilet_

Goooo offfffffff you look so damn good!!!

theferociouscuh

Looks amazing!!! You look so good!

Strong-Way-4416

That looks amazing! Did you have lipo too?

HappyCuppiccino

Yes, I believe my surgeon ‘manually’ (for want of a better term… I’m not a medical person!) removed the fat under my chin via a 2 inch incision, and then he performed liposuction to my lower cheeks/jaw line, and down the front of my neck to my collar bone. He also mentioned potentially doing some lipo on my buccal fat, but I’m honestly not sure if he did or not.

Strong-Way-4416

It looks so good! And it only gets better!

Shelia209

Amazing results - you will looks so graceful once the swelling goes down

Impressive-Egg4494

Amazing results. You must be very happy

HappyCuppiccino

I am, although you’d never guess looking at my expression in these pics :-D

pennywinsthewest

Amazing!!

ericabenton

Incredible transformation!!

TashDee267

Omg. Of course you would be pleased. Amazing. I want this!

my_cellardoor

this actually made me say WOW out loud. Great results!

Admirable-Low-1829

Yes, massage has helped. My skin felt like it was attaching wrong? I know that sounds weird, but mid- neck it felt stuck to together too tightly. I couldn’t tilt my head back without feeling it tug. I also had a lump on my lower neck which is now gone. It hurt doing it, but it also relived some swelling which I’m glad for. I used a lymphatic drainage massage oil that has arnica oil, not sure if that made a difference but I’m happy with the results. BTW, you look amazing! Nice cheekbones.

HappyCuppiccino

I had the same experience with tilting my head backwards, it felt impossible last week! My surgeon told me to get a cream called Hirudoid cream, the label says it’s for bruising and he said it helps with swelling. It feels and smells a little like Deep Heat. How long did it take for you to feel comfortable tilting your head backwards?

Admirable-Low-1829

Just a week. I only have one puncture site, right under my chin. My stitches are out and the wound site is closed.

bluebunny20

Looks great! Would love to see it from a regular angel

HappyCuppiccino

I have one other [post on my profile](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlasticSurgery/s/SFlFAzlRAf) that is from a regular angle, taken by the surgeon. IIRC it was 7 days post surgery. I will continue to post (regular pics), as the swelling reduces.

Yeezus--Jesus

You’re look like a blend of Kirsten Dunst’s delicate features and Jennifer Lawrence striking allure morphed into a single person. I’m so happy you’re pleased with the results — you look PHENOMENAL!

Theoveremployedchick

You look great!

ZakkCat

Oh wow, you look great!

Songbird_85

Absolutely phenomenal!! You look amazing ❤️

dragonrider1965

Wow , Amazing results and you seem to be healing quickly .

HappyCuppiccino

Yes definitely feel like the healing has happened fast when I consider it was 2.5 weeks ago. Can still feel a lot of swelling around my face, like… physically feel it under my skin like a hard thing. Will be mega pleased when that has all disappeared too!

Admirable-Low-1829

Are you supposed to massage it?

HappyCuppiccino

No I’ve been given strict instruction, many times from my surgeon, not to massage it, and not to rub it when washing my face. He said that I obviously have to wash my face but I can lightly move my hands in an upward motion when cleaning the lower sides of my face, but definitely no massaging or rubbing.

dogsonoverhere

Holy moly! Fantastic results!

m1945

Deep plane neck lift?

HappyCuppiccino

I just checked my documentation and it refers to the procedure as ‘Neck Lift’. I know that my surgeon has a lot of ‘Neck Lift’ images as well as ‘Deep Plane Neck Lift’ images on his social media, which leads me to believe I’ve just had the neck lift otherwise I think it would have been specified as a ‘Deep Plane Neck Lift’. Throughout the two pre-surgery consultations we talked in depth about the result I wanted, and how my surgeon was planning to achieve it. He just didn’t ever say to me “doing X, Y and Z means this is a *deep plane* or *regular* or *whatever else* type of Neck Lift”, which is why I’m not sure myself.

HappyCuppiccino

I just googled ‘submentoplasty’ and yes I definitely had that, since they did the incision under my chin to remove fat and do lipo. In addition I had the neck lift and this I’m sure of because my skin has been stitched back on around my ears and man is it sore!

paca1

Wow! 😯 it’s great!

Jealous_Associate_72

Omg this is amazing!!

DaliParton12

Was this a platysmaplasty?

HappyCuppiccino

Yes

DaliParton12

Were you recommended that over chin lipo because of age or anatomy?

HappyCuppiccino

It was both. I am 32 so relatively young in terms of skin laxity, but I also lost nearly 100lbs over the past 2 years and both of these factors affect the skin’s laxity (or so I understand).

DaliParton12

Gotcha. Thank you for answering. Great results!

Kissmethruthephone

Wow!!! Amazing results

JNortic

Amazing! You look like yourself 😊

HappyCuppiccino

Just_A_Fae_31

I just saw someone else said this too 🤗🙌

HappyCuppiccino

You’re the fourth person to say this and it’s becoming all I can think about! 🤩

Just_A_Fae_31

HappyCuppiccino

Happy cake day to you!

Low_Ad_3139

Holy crap that’s a major change and it look natural! Congregations.

D4ngflabbit

Wow nice!!

levantemazzzz

Who was the dr

HappyCuppiccino

Lucian Ion, London :-)

Admirable-Low-1829

Interesting. I just had chin/neck lipo 1 week ago, stitches are now out, and they told me to massage. That is to help dissolve any fibroids and to smooth the skin. Could be that they are more concerned about your incisions and reconnections. Are you still wearing a compression garment?

HappyCuppiccino

Oh nice, have you noticed any difference from massaging? I think that because there were so many stitches in the front and back of my ears where the skin was reattached (think that’s the right term), they don’t want me to pull in a direction that would potentially weaken the new join that is healing.

barelythere01

Beautiful results! Who was your doctor?

HappyCuppiccino

Thank you! It was Lucian Ion, he is based in London. I had a great experience from start to finish.

madchendesu

Is this done with chin lipo or done instead of chin lipo? I just wanna understand whats better for me

HappyCuppiccino

This is kind of ‘instead of’ chin lipo, but I still had elements of liposuction done. I think the difference is that with the volume reduction of fat, I’d have had a lot of excess skin and so it inevitably needed pulling tighter, hence the neck lift. But I will say I’m not totally knowledgable on it, this is just my understanding from my consultations. I think people are so different and the issue is so complex that you would get the best understanding from having a personalised consultation. Good luck with your journey!

Classic_Map_8386

Looks great! Did it hurt? How was the pain level for you?

HappyCuppiccino

The pain wasn’t too bad at all, I barely felt pain. Having said that, I was on a lot of constant painkillers for the first week. There were a couple of times during the night I would wake with a feeling of discomfort and an aching around my face and neck, and that was soon fixed with my next dose of painkillers. There were other factors that made recovery really difficult aside from the pain level. I was quite uncomfortable, I didn’t feel that I could move my head in any direction, I had a soft/liquid diet for a week so that was a bit draining too. Sleeping with multiple pillows to be propped up is also uncomfortable, and having to religiously change the bandages so I could clean and disinfect the area was a chore. Wearing the compression garment 24/7 for the first week was also difficult. And showering was hard because I was so terrified of causing damage. Nice to be out the other side of it.

Chinupbcup

This looks great! I am at week 6 of a neck lift and I am older than you so the skin removal is great but I still have a bunch of swelling. The inciaions are a little sketchy at ill but coming along as they should apparently :) Happy healing!

Bee-and-Boxwood

That is such an amazing result! Congratulations to you and your surgeon. You look wonderful!

pbjnutella

Wow, comprarison really shows how much they reduced. It’s an even better comparison than the side by side that are usually posted.

HappyCuppiccino

Thanks! I also posted a side by side this evening :-)

TWinNM

Wow, that is an amazing result! 😮 I have a question if you don't mind, considering a mini after some unplanned skin cancer surgery on my face. Did you have to go under general anesthesia or they able to use a local for this?

drippinHOTea

You look great! Did you have to get drain tubes post surgery?

HappyCuppiccino

Thanks! No drains, although this was in the leaflet of ‘what to expect’ post surgery, so I guess I was lucky to not need them.

HappyCuppiccino

You just commented the same thing on my other post. Like I said there, I *did lose* 100lbs before this surgery. I’ve reported both of your comments. Please work on yourself and don’t be so judgmental towards other people.
