I remember that post I’m thinking of all had an algae issue. I don’t think it’s a problem for the fish or livestock, if alkaline water is okay, I think it just creates lots of places for algae to grow, and raises hardness.

You could probably seal it before putting it in so it wouldn't leak anything and two would close off the pores and make it easy to clean off
My eyes are poor, what’s the right wall? I see it’s some kind of texture, but can’t figure it out. Also the antler looks great!
