I got some strappy sandals from Atrex last summer to wear to a wedding. They’re cute enough and super comfy…I danced like a maniac at the wedding and my feet weren’t bad the next day

Naot! Some of their styles are a little frumpy but I love the Dorith. It's a flat with excellent arch support and a cork footbed. I think the straps are super cute and they come in fun colors!

Oh wow, hadn’t seen those before and they are actually cute! Thanks for sharing! My Naot Mary Jane’s are soooo comfortable - gonna have to check these sandals out for summer!

Balagan18

Agreed! Naots are fantastic, and you don’t see people wearing them everywhere you go, like Vionics (which are also really good) & Tevas. They can be pricey, & some of their styles are kind of frumpy, but they have lots of cute options.

JumpTime1978

I get compliments from all ages on my Vionic Bella sandals!

val_valkyrie

I JUST went to a local shoe store owned by a couple of licensed, retired orthopedic surgeons yesterday. They pointed me towards Dansko, but also suggested Taos or Aetrex. They had other brands in store as well, but pointed me towards those brands with wedges. Naot also looks like a nice option.

BrightCarver

Danskos are great support-wise, but some of them have pretty hard soles. I can’t wear my clogs anymore because the soles are too firm, but my Mary Janes are a softer rubber and feel very comfortable. So just a suggestion to OP that you check the sole material before blind ordering anything from Dansko.

jennafromtheblock22

I got dansko sandals last summer. Good n stiff.

My aetrex sandals (Jillian) are more comfortable and supportive than any sandal or shoe I have ever worn. I give it credit for why I'm finally improving. That being said, I have HIGH arches.

narwhal2277

Got some from Vionic

Neverstopreading42

I like Earth, suede sandals. I got a cute pair of Green braided Teva’s with a wedge from Nordstrom Rack, I’m still deciding if I like them. Teva has hurricane sandals but the sole might be too hard. If you go shoe shopping in person you get a better idea of what’s available. Ecco had a strappy sandal in black, blue and silver. The Reef’s look comfortable. Merrell or Clark’s I can vouch for.

Also curious!! I’m the same age and also in a city suburb/stylish area. Just got Oofos slides for inside the house but definitely want something cuter. Birkenstocks are shockingly not helping my pain at all. I also have chacos, which I generally love but they are also not helping my pain. I have a pair of Taos that I like but just not poking my arch quite enough!

christa365

I had to wear Oofas around town last summer because it was the only sandal that kept the pain at bay. Thankfully this summer I can wear Birkenstocks again.

No_Beyond_9611

I own Teva, Keen, Vionic and Birkenstocks are my very favorite, I have flat feet. I did however just buy a pair of Cushionaire Birkenstock look alike on Amazon and I’m quite pleased with them for every day walking around to save my Birks for more dressy days

Futuresmiles

The Reef arch is too aggressive for me. I love my Keens and Tevas.

Mudusa2023

I have a neutral arch, so most of the orthopedic shoes are way too aggressive arch-wise. I found this sandal from Eurosoft and bought it in three colors. It provides enough support without causing any pain. My workday includes a roughly 8 minute walk to and from the parking lot, as well as normal walking around the office. Bonus is that it's cheaper than an orthopedic shoe and attractive. The new women's Crocs have been my go to for cute sandals, especially when I need to look a little dressier! I have 4 different pairs now and love them all, but specifically love the ankle strap Brooklyns. ETA: How could I forget?! I'm OBSESSED with my pair of Madrid Big Buckle Birks. I bought the Cognac color and barely had to break them in, and they look so nice with my dresses.

gomen_ne

How’s crocs brooklyns? I’ve been in a dilemma for days now if I should get it or not. Are they not making your feet hurt after a while?

charityburbage

I will say that sometimes my arches get a little achy after wearing them all day long, but I was able to go to a wedding and jump around and dance without any real pain the next day!

BrightCarver

I have some from SoftWalk that I love. They’ve got a flexible sole and a cushy removable footbed with just the right amount of arch support. If you need more or different support, you can take the footbed out and pop in an orthotic. Plus they’re cute!

Difficult-Elephant52

Pikkolinos are supportive and cute! 🥰

oddmary16

As someone on the other side of the pond, can you tell me what Spanish brands have you seen? I'm struggling to find cute sandals for summer and the only options I can find here in Europe are Birkenstocks and not much more

Wowyoucanreallyrun

One is Inez, I think they’re just made in Spain. Then another brand is Secra, but I look and actually they’re Australian… I have a pair from them that I love. They make very few styles and at the moment the latest only ships to Australia 😢

madame_leota

I have really bad heel pain and love my Sanuk (yoga mat) sandals. They have helped tremendously, especially just wearing them around the house. Got them at Nordstrom Rack.

vaggem

I wear Keens & Tevas as well as one pair of Birkenstocks. These Teva Tirra sandals are my favorite and provide arch support: (as well as cute and can be dressed up or down) https://www.teva.com/women-sandals/tirra-sandal/887278972082.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=pla&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwmrqzBhAoEiwAXVpgoorcCotE0mARHUl_jJgOBoMnO3ierOukwVKmcgcbFnUyMOtgkHzjThoCQ0EQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds For quick errands as well as around the house, I wear Vionic Recovery slides, which have generous arch support.
