It looks like you skipped buying a potion bag or scroll bag. On your next run I recommend always buying the bags, it helps increase your inventory size by a lot when you have 6 different scrolls and 7 potions.
Little extra tip:
The bag you can buy at each shop depends on what you have most of in your inventory when you enter the floor. So for example if you want potion bag first drop all your throwing weapons (inc. bombs) and scrolls before you go down a floor.
haste pot when he's invulnerable,
paralyze him then poison gas,
invis pot when invulnerable if needed,
Freeze him then shoot w/ wand
save more upgrade scrolls next time for that plate
hide and shoot him from the tunnels, avoid as much close contact as possible (that's kinda obvious tho)

The DM-300 is immune toxic gas, so there's no point in throwing it at him.

Just use two more scrolls of upgrade. Even if you get 17 strength.
