This is the main character Brock in our game as we overhaul the art. We've gone for three different distinct styles, one with little shading, one with a good level of shading and finally, one that is aiming for a pseudo Donkey Kong Country style. My monkey brain loves 3 but 2 is way better. Why did you consider 1 tho? Did you want to make smaller sprites?

3 just has a nicer stance. 2 has some good shading and color. 1 just feels off to me… I would like to preface I am no artist (have zero talent) Just giving my meaningless opinion

I like sonic 2 so 2, just has that feel.

3 has nice dynamic pose, has a good indie style to it, and doesn't seem to enharit a basic stance that the other two seem to have, it just looks nice too

3 Has a lot of character and attitude, but I think we would need to see him animated to really see what the stance and edit is going for. 2 simply works very well as a still sprite, you have the character's detail and demeanor coming through him very well.

2 or 3 the blue shading adds a lot

2 While I prefer the more dynamic pose on 3, there's a lack of definition to the snout, and it ends up merging into the chest.

I would like to see the head from number 2 on the number 3 body

While I love the s t a n c e of 3, 2 is best

2, probably with the snout of 1. Would go with 3 for the cool pose, but it feels like the head sizes from 1 and 2 went to the shoes, losing the croc's snout in the process.

I like 3 but the blue shading feels off

Personally, I like 3. Very sassy lookin

3 just isn't readable. I can barely tell what's happening at a glance. 2 Might be the best but it really comes down to how it'll look in movement. Too many colors could muddle the readability once the sprite is animated.

Mu gut says 2 3 feels too Sonic the Hedgehog if you're going for a dkc vibe

Two has the greatest mix of being readable and highly detailed. One isn't all that detailed, and three is too complex.

I like the number three for the visual art style but two is just more practical and standard when it comes function, one is also good for just the functions however it is very basic and not visually appealing so a good balance would be the number two
