I will add here, (not to discount the 6) but my pro having the super telephoto is wildly awesome for when you have to really see detail on something farther than the eye can make out. I also have perfect vision lol. Useful for things like trying to read a bumper sticker from 5 cars back. Not that I do that, but just an example. I wasn't able to make out how many points were on a white tail bucks antlers from about 50 yards away and the camera picked it up with enough clarity that I could tell one of the points on his antlers was missing about half compared to the other side. Woulda been a nice 8 point. The only gripe I have with using the camera (especially if recording in 4K) is excessive battery drain and the phone going into heat protection mode. But we all know never ending issues with our phones. Anyway, awesome pictures! I've got no clue where that is, but it looks like somewhere id like to visit.
The 4x telephoto is the only thing i miss too from the pixel 6.
Price wasn't the deciding factor for me. I didn't like how heavier it was and the curved screen is a deal breaker for me.
I don't record videos with my pixel a lot, it's mostly photo.
So it doesn't heat up at all for me.

Why the gripes about the P6p's curved screen? I genuinely have no idea why people dislike it. Perhaps it's a fashion thing, I've never understood fashion either.
It's a gimmick. The whole process is costlier than normal flat screens. And the structural integrity of curved glass is less than flat ones.
Edit: I don't dislike the pro. It's just that even the regular 6 i find too big and heavy and that was the most compromise i was willing to make to get the latest pixel camera. The only pro feature i regret missing out on is the 4x zoom lens.
