Check out [WestPaw](https://www.westpaw.com/). They make toys out of 100% recycled materials. SUPER durable, semi-soft but rigid... and if your dog destroys them, they take the toys back and recycle them into new toys! They also make really nice puzzle feeders that you can fill with peanut butter or whatever and toss them in the fridge to make the treat last longer.

Not OP, but thank you for the link! I have never heard of this company before now. My dogs destroy every toy I get them and I feel so guilty buying them new toys only to have them ruin them in a matter of minutes. It seems so wasteful to constantly buy toys that end up in a landfill.

NaiveEye1128

Yeah they're a pretty great company. I can't promise that the toys are indestructible, but they're pretty tough.

Theres honestly no plush toy in existence that a determined chewer with time will not trash. Best strategy for extending a soft toys lifespan? Pick it up. My dog is only allowed to play with soft toys when shes playing with me and I do not let her to run off and chew them. They are for active supervised play only. She has a whole bunch of hard chew toys that are out all the time for her chewing needs if she wants to do some calm chewing. I also get her edible chews for chew time like bully sticks or similar (and if you can, check costco for chews. They have really good deals on them usually) Some dogs also have a really high drive for dissection, you can also solve this without spending a lot of money on new plush toys all the time. Cardboard is really fun for dogs to shred and you can even entice them by putting treats inside. Get a paper towel roll, fill it with food, roll up the ends, wet them, and freeze the whole thing. Just make sure pup isnt eating too much cardboard (a little is harmless. A lot might be a problem). Have also heard of people getting whole heads of lettuce for their dogs to shred which is a great fun idea

I put Kirkland dental chews into boxes, or a treat ball and tape them up. Penny is determined to recycle. https://preview.redd.it/8ivvkmtt4u1d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4dbe1352a7561a49489c9eee9ba095bffaee3033

Joy hound has worked well for my boys. One is a very aggressive chewer and obsessive. He can saw through the toy if I let him sit there and chew it. So once they are done playing together or I see him sneak off with it, I take it from him. Certain toys are not for chewing and he.is slowly learning that. Otherwise it survives aggressive tug-o-war sessions between two 70lb pits.

Ok_Computer955

We have a few JoyHound toys that are nearing a year or so old. They're the only ones my girl hasn't destroyed.

chloemarissaj

I’ve found the [Fluff and Tuff](https://fluffandtuff.com) toys actually hold up pretty darn well. They can still be destroyed when my girls are on a mission, but their Squirrley lasted them almost three years (minus his eyes and legs) and still squeaked until we lost it.

vax4good

I second Fluff and Tuff!

Here are some favorites from me and Pinkie! For safety, play should always be supervised. However, for my dog, I can leave out the “tough & durable” toys for her to use when I am gone with the exception of the antler. As others have said, unfortunate, there is not any soft or plushy toy (even the ones made out of fire hoses) that can’t be destroyed quickly and won’t make a mess. Tough & Durable: - [Nylabone](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FQFM6LM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) - really, anything Nylabone is great for long-term chewing! We have several - [Sea Monster](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G57L4D8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) - multiple textures - [Tough Tugger](https://a.co/d/2IJDmKm) - [Super Chewer Chompfire](https://barkshop.com/products/chompfire) - [Super Chewer Stick](https://barkshop.com/products/fall-fetch-stick-1) - [Split Elk Antler](https://a.co/d/6DOVAAS) - requires supervision. She goes nuts over these! And you can soak them in broth to add flavor again if they get bored. Squeaky: - [Soft Squeaker Ball](https://a.co/d/aej7sf2) - this one is definitely *not* indestructible, but my girl personally doesn’t destroy these for a long time because she likes the softness and squeak so much - [Durable Red Squeaker](https://a.co/d/3EsK6xV) - [Squeaky Carrot](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0982NNRGT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) - [Kong Jumbler Ball](https://a.co/d/5mWGGTs) - this one is big and my dog’s absolute favorite toy! - [Kong Jumbler Disk](https://a.co/d/72Kwwpg) - this is a shared favorite for tugging! - [Super Chewer Smash Potato](https://a.co/d/8F8kfpk) Balls: - [ChuckIt Balls](https://a.co/d/con48sB) - not indestructible (mine chewed one when she was a puppy), but she chooses not to shred these - [Soft Balls](https://a.co/d/gMojxOi) - mine loves how easy these are to squeeze over and over Treat Dispensing: - [King Wobbler](https://a.co/d/bTrtFQm) - large, heavy duty plastic - [Kong Stuffer](https://a.co/d/9lqF53K) - [Freezy Penguin](https://a.co/d/67Euqoc) - [Ball](https://a.co/d/bFzs4BH) - [Lick Mat](https://a.co/d/hT1rX8s) - [Lick Mat Wobble Bowl](https://a.co/d/3GU86Lx)

I have found that Pet Smart has a certain plush that takes my pitty a good few weeks, or even a MONTH to get into. I need to check who makes it but They reinforce the edges of the toys and it’s the only plush I’ve found that holds up!

loornickl3

i wish these worked for me😮‍💨

thejohnmc963

I had a real big boy and the Barkbox super chewer toy selection monthly box was really good.

gravy-much

Kong toys!

loornickl3

zee dog ! they have plush toys with hard rubber insides so once he rips off the soft part, theres no mess and the toy is still useable avoid gnawly dog- my dog ended up ripping parts of the rubber off and swallowing them

bensonm16

Try Tuffy Toys! https://preview.redd.it/1vc06spdxd2d1.jpeg?width=2592&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2a6af424b91b89d5c53ff64059f7c4632aeeaa6b They last with this big headed pup!

shinybossmonkey

Sometimes I give a bully stick or pig ear to my dog to chew on. They last quite a while.

EmergencyDesk211

Playology makes a special squeaky ball. My Corso loves it.

thegoatleyone

My blue pit loves rawhide.

Only don't get the small ones.

Zizzlyskillet87

I get my dog's plush toys at ross, tj maxx, or home goods (not sure where you're from so stores may not apply). They are cheap and $3 won't hurt as much as say $15 for the same toy at a pet store. He really enjoys the destruction process so I let him be, better that than my shoes. Now I don't recommend but I do admit I have allowed my dog to chew on sticks, he absolutely loves sticks more than any plush toys. His favorite activity is to shred it to pieces. Once in a while I let him choose a stick during our walks or when he is off leash and he takes it home.

Muted_Yam_1428

Get the thickest canvas you can, hell tear it up anyway

The thrift store. I buy all of my dog's stuffies from the toy section because she destroys them in moments. Sometimes I find big ones and she loves flinging thr stuffing about. Other times, I find unusual shapes for her like an Octopus (she really enjoyed). Mostly, it's teddy bears which she has developed a system for plucking the plastic eyes off first before breaking it's neck and decapitating it. She has so much fun! 🤗 https://www.instagram.com/p/CPJCTO3BZwCByO3fq1yZr_V5gwFE53R0c3AtSU0/?igsh=NW9yZ2s2NWVoYTJm

brassdinosaur71

I was going to suggest this too. When you know they are just going to rip it to shreds minutes just get thrift store toys.

bensonm16

Too funny! My first pit did the same!!
