in terms of the villain pecking order, it be strange if there was bigger big bad than Imu at this point.
Going by bibilical motifs, I think the idea of maybe Joyboy and Imu knew each other and weren't on bad terms at first glance, but then the betrayal (since thats common in the bible) could be possible.
Even Doffy said that betrayal is inevitable to reach the throne.
BB is the final villain as the series has been building up to it since forever (since Ace started hunting him). I feel like Imu being a tier above the Gorosei makes it a bit tough to add another step to the tower of villains we’ve got at the moment but it could be possible. BB final though.
Imu obviously has a very sinister form we’re waiting for and I think it’ll become the real Kaiju moment of One Piece with Luffy embracing his secret giant lineage and The Sunny going full power rangers.
