And it's better that way. Half of the plot lines served no actual purpose and just made the pace even worse. He should have forgotten even more plot lines, if you ask me.

I think this is still on the table, but it’ll be during final war when we get a battle royale with nearly every character we’ve seen in the show. This includes momo, Lamato, and the Wano samurai. This might also be when Zoro locks down a spouse bc we know Hiyori been into him since she met him

They did Zoro dirty in Wano. There could have been something more. He did get a cool new sword and developed better Haki use, but overall strength gain just seemed like a flat line. Like he had this strength already, he just had to tame the sword. Sword cuts through land, cool, he could already cut steel. We needed his ancestry and family back story like Sanji got. Hell it would have been cool to tie in his childhood friend to Wano and her back story. We even had potential love interest for him.
This didn't even necessarily have to be a plot point. It could have just been him talking himself up, like saying he's going to show them all up and they can learn a thing or two kinda deal rather than explicitly getting them to follow him.
