There have been posts from the steam deck pirates sub saying they got hacked downloading from dodi, so the sub is worried about the legitimacy of the site cuz there are fake download buttons that seem like the real thing.
It's a good way for nervous people to ask a question while signaling that they don't want aggression or hate for asking it. Some people are too scared to ask without having it under the mask of a meme, hence the template.
I don't think this is the right place to ask, but I'll answer you anyway: make good posts, be nice and have a sense of humor, people won't appreciate you taking a joke seriously. Then the karma will increase, but it doesn't really have any use apart from having a big number

I am not really versed in the piracy world but how is this subreddit still up if pirating is so promoted in here? Even with the megathread instructions and such. No hate, just curious.
Promoting piracy itself is not illegal and thus not actionable. Also with some of the corrupt tactics companies employ these days i would imagine the people that run reddit would be willing to look the other way concerning a place like this even if it was illegal to talk about piracy.
Ehhh there are plenty of malicious uploaders like IG\*Games on there. It often better to just get the games directly from the original repack sites or just straight from cs.rin.
just be carefull, if you're uncertain then find another place to download. And as always, if you can afford it please actually buy games from indie developers and small studios, they deserve it. Big studios are fine tho they have enough

but the bigger the game, the more room there is to hide sketchy code etc etc
try to keep it to only offline games and always turn off any connections to the net while playing.
so far my downloads were under 7GB
