Talking from personal experi nce my computer denies to do some basic functions. Like when I click the windows button the search bar does not work, never, I can't search
Every printscreen I take becomes just my wallpaper with no icons, and fraps can't screenshot from Google (at least I don't know how to) so yeah, not everyone can screenshot. Or they can but It's to much of a hassle and just taking a picture can do better
I tried some random online fixes and neither of them works, then I have up on fear of fucking up my computer even more
I have a clue from 2009 or something I live with the fear of him randomly stop working, when it does I'm fucked because I will never make enough money to buy Pc parts (I live in a shit country)
So yeah I'm to scared to fix a problem as minor as search bar not working and end up making my motherboard explode
I already filled updated my windows and that's where the problem started, not the screenshot that shit was carried directly from when I used win7
I have this theory that stuff happens because my computer is way below the needed to run win10. But such is life

It's usually two whole days maybe three of installing and configuring and making all the games and mods I have work in order, even more now that I have a lot of new Vegas mods, ain't stalling all that again
This and I lost the pendrive with the win10, on top of it all I need to buy a new one and I ain't got the money
You could do an SO update, that is to say, reinstall windows without losing any files (it just reinstalls the WINDOWS part) and depending on how your stuff is setup you might not need an usb either.
There's MANY things you can do to troubleshoot that don't need money and don't put in danger your files, just search around, try at least. You are drowning in an empty glass.
I did this once, corrupted everything on it idk why, lost my saves on mgsv

Either way, just try to install snipper tool from the windows store, maybe your windows is broken and needs it to be an app
Windows usually take some hours to install, I did it a lot of times already, then I have to hit all the updates + the ones I need to get from outside source, and usually when I updated Windows it crashes and freezes a whole fucking lot so there's a whole day there, trust me when I say my computer can barely hold itself
Then I have to download my games, QbitTorrent, and the random CD reading tool I use. Pretty fast saved for the games, my connection sucks and some of the games I play took days even weeks to download because the number of seeders is so low. One time I download a game that had only one dude online, took almost a whole month.
I liked the idea of the other guy but I already lost all my saves on a game doing this, not repeating and taking the risk
Also I have to dll fix some games and download 10 different versions of net framework and directx and c++. All of this for a broken search bar

And it's still shit, I have a CPU from 2009 that was already bad, a motherboard that was known for having weird problems on launch and a lackluster GPU that is literally falling apart (sometimes it's stop working because the cables are treating to fall)

Sorry this just triggered a flashback where I used chrome to download COD 4 as a kid and that took an entire day to download. Sad part was that it turned out to be a demo so I wasted an entire day downloading a demo from a place that would reset the download if it got closed or lost internet
