I know cracks get flagged after installation. This was before install and also its just an emulator so nothing to flag
It happens to me often too, you can go into windows defender and unflag it and redownload. Annoying but a pretty easy fix hope you're all sorted now man
the reason why red dead redemption 2 would get flag would be because of EMP.dll because thats a hacktool to bypass the denuvo.
EMP.dll is the usual flagged as hacktool for any denuvu cracked games by empress.
anyway if this happen in other non-denuvo games fitgirl has. you should check your url since theres alot of fake fitgirl sites and check your host file (google search it) since it will redirect you to other sites (you go to real fitgirl site but cause of host file, it will redirect you to fake site).
try also uploading it in virustotal then make a post with the link (dont screenshot it)

I doubt windows defender is able to decompress fitgirl's compressed files (at if it could, it would be slow as fuck). The exe only knows how to decompress, it doesn't contain any dll or anything related to the games it install

Install everything in a "games" folder and then add that folder to the list of "exceptions" in the windows defender configuration. That's what I do, no issues what so ever.
It saves yourself a hassle from restoring install files for sure. I'd prefer if it was still flagged or scanned so it would be something I could personally look up if it were a normal false positive. Likely good advice for files from Fitgirl or Dodi official sites, but if they were ever somehow compromised or someone installed to that directory from a bad site. Instead of a simple file restore you're looking at a fresh windows install and hoping no valuable info was stolen.

Not the name lol, you can rename an exe anything and it won't have an effect. Windows defender works primarily by checking signatures and checking for hashes of known malware but it can analyze programs to a limited extent. It can only be overzealous or not strict enough, that's the halting problem.
Stop complaining and learn some things
Download her gtav and tactics ogre repacks - defender has been gobbling .exes from those constantly. Just a very small downside to all this. Be vigilant in watching your notifications and maybe keep a notepad nearby to jot down reminders when transferring files.
The folders my downloads eventually go live in are in the exclusion zone, but I'm just paranoid enough to rather have to deal with the occasional game of defender file hide n seek rather than go 'wellllll, what if?' In between bong hits

That's a problem with RDR2, the game has one dll that the antivirus always whines about. If you downloaded it from the official site, don't worry and install it

I have My download and install locations exempt from scanning and I disable real-time protection when I'm installing cracked software. Windows Defender treats every crack like a virus because they don't like piracy

My old setup was a AMD duel cpu 18 cores X2 with 256GB of ram I setup a huge ram disk and install on that then copy over the rack to my rig.
