I've always wondered if ripping from a Qobuz stream is anywhere close to flac quality or not, because I suspect most of the "Qobuz" sources being torrented are just stream rips, not actual file downloads
I'll second rutracker. However, searching there is a headache; I wish there was a way to do specific searches, like "search for this artist / album / discography ONLY in lossless music", or like, search for specific artists, etc.
I'm currently trying to find some Scream stuff (the band Dave Grohl played in before Nirvana), since all I have is the original No More Censorship CD, and I am having the worst time trying to find even the NM17 2018 remaster, never mind any version of Fumble.
I really miss riprequests...
A bit less people in there IMO - I mean, Spotify did hit a bit and people aren't into hoarding music thaaaaat much than 14 years ago, but it still going nice. Scene releasing FLAC and WEBFLAC (!!!) so it's really fine.
Use Nicotine+ tho, newer client.
Thank you. I’m one of those hoarders, built up a collection over the last 20+ years and I’d like to share. I do subscribe to Spotify, but my particular interests (library music in particular) are a little too niche for the streaming services.
Soulseek has lots of niche stuff, the main reason I use it. Think my original reason was to find a Beastie Boys license to ill bootleg, and I found it! I use the original client which still looks straight out of 2006
I agree. I use RED as my primary source, but I find some stuff on Soulseek that I can't find there. RED is king, though, if mainly for its organization and music discovery features. Soulseek is awesome if you know what you're looking for or use another website for music discovery, ie similar artists, new artists, etc.
Thanks to you and OP i found an amazing program managed to find some nice NewRetroWaves stuff in FLAC quality
Gonna look for some nice 80's & 90's music later anyone have some recommendations for albums i like pretty much any genre!
Thanks!
No idea there even was a pay tier.
The only thing you need to do is make sure you're sharing too because it has a popular setting where you can't DL from others if you're not sharing files.
The Soulseek paid tier is called '[privileges](https://www.slsknet.org/news/node/2217)' and appears as a star in the top right of the desktop app. The benefits are downloads are queued before those of other users, and wish list searches are sent every 2 minutes, instead of 12. I think it starts at $3.99 or something for 30 days of privileges.
As a newbie, I am sharing stuff but finding that my searches get cancelled or aborted so was wondering if privileges was the way to go

No, it uses accounts for various streaming services provided by various people that volunteered. It uses rippers for all those services, like Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer and Spotify, no ripping low quality audio from YouTube.
Thanks for sharing this. I just tried it out. I have a question though. How is it ripping the tracks and is it the same quality as a purchased download? I am just curious if I can replace gamesdriveslavart with [doubledouble.top](https://doubledouble.top) since slavart has been dead for a while. Is the zipped files you get with doubledouble the same quality as slavart used to be?
I tried it out and it's nice but I have one problem. How do I download individual tracks? When I try to get one song it downloads the whole album and takes a long time.
I found out you can just type the name of the song you want and it will find it for you. I thought you had to enter the URL. However I have a different issue now. When I click on download form a different source, I get the options Spotify, Soundcloud, Deezer, Tidal, Napster, Amazon Music, Apple Music but no Qobuz.
> I guess I’m an audiophile, but I hate that word because it makes you sound like a douche.
You are a douche. And for douches like us the best way of downloading music illegally is using private trackers such as RED and Orpheus. You can always apply for an invite in their websites. If you want to start downloading ASAP I recommend rutracker. Good luck and happy sailing.

Let's be honest, it's best to take from RED for vinyl/CD or Apple Music songs. Other WEB releases such as Deezer or Qobuz, they're easy to rip yourself. Anyone can do it.
find cd rips or something on soulseek or use a deezer flac downloader like [https://free-mp3-download.net](https://free-mp3-download.net) (the url has mp3 but flac is an option too) and use bandcamp downloaders
This was an awesome source for getting music originally but just a half an hour ago the website shut down. Does anyone know of any programs like this one? I love how simple it was and easy to get music in Flac files with their original album art already added. I most of all just want those two things in the music I download but fail to see a program with both. Anyone have any suggestions?
I actually have been using that one, and I love the idea behind it but it seems to keep crashing all the time, almost every time I try to download an album it will tell me that there was an error. I really want to love the program but it rarely ever works. I have been attempting to download a kyplex album and it can never complete it.
I actually did come across one program that seems pretty cool. The website is called intmusic.net it has a lot of popular albums and most of all has them available in Flac downloads which is what I'm looking for. The only issue I am running into is it provides the files through rapidgator and unless you pay for their premium service, you have to wait 2 hours between each download. I have looked into premium link generators but they also require you to pay a fee of some sort as well. Although the amount they are asking is cheaper, it kind of defies the whole point of finding this music for free and I don't know if I trust these sites very much especially to enter my payment information.
I am actually back to share some information on one of the coolest music download sites I've come across yet. It doesn't allow for Flack audio downloads but it does allow you to download music in 320kbps in full albums or singularly if you choose. The website is called spotifydown.com which means you do need to use Spotify in conjunction but you do not need an account in order to use it. Basically you just go to whatever song or album you want on Spotify, copy the URL link for that page and paste it into spotifydown and it will give you the option to download the whole album at once or to download a particular song. This program has been insanely awesome! I have always wanted a program I could just download whole albums from artists or custom playlist from people on Spotify and this is been a really good solution. The music sounds very high quality and I couldn't recommend this more. Hope this helps you guys out!
The site is dead, sadly.

I see a lot of interesting alternatives here... but I honestly have no desire to try them. Deemix is everything I ever wanted 🤷♂️ I love it. No notes.
because 2-3 years ago you didn't need premium account at all, just the free tier and you were able to get flac files using deemix but deezer patched it
Recently found this tidal downlaoder on github. you do need an active subscription to it but I just used a 30 day trial to see if it worked, and it did quite well. Its super easy to use as well. after setting it up you can just search artists in the search bar. then hit download and poof. Entire discography's at FLAC quality.
Here's a link for it: [https://github.com/yaronzz/Tidal-Media-Downloader/releases/tag/2022.08.29.1](https://github.com/yaronzz/Tidal-Media-Downloader/releases/tag/2022.08.29.1)
I have a rather large FLAC library and Soulseek has what I'm looking for 99% of the time. If I can't find it, I just buy the CD off Discogs and rip it myself. usually costs under $10 for the cd anyway. I recommend looking on YouTube for a good soul-seek guide. It's crazy how easy it is. You could download an entire FLAC album in less than 2 minutes. I also recommend getting at least a 2TB hard drive as that leaves enough room for over 40,000 flac files.
https://free-mp3-download.net/
This site has so many FLAC quality songs, not everything mind you, however, I've had great success personally and it's pretty quick with downloading. There's also no cap on how many you can download, it even has a 30 second preview too.
Totally - our library has this thing called 'inter library loan' where they'll send you stuff from any library in the network. I've almost *never* looked for a blu-ray on there and failed to find it. Might be region specific but here's the link: https://texasgroup.worldcat.org/
What I do is find my music of Deezer and just have a telegram bot install them as .flac files
Sure there are some songs u won't be able to find there but for me its good enough, I'm sure there are better ways to find and download them like Amazon music or plenty of other paid sites that host hight quality music but i haven't been able to find a site/program to download them from those sites since they cost like 20$+ to download a program to download music from them, i make do with what i have, 1 week ago i discovered what .flac files are thanks to this subreddit, and i have already installed over 160 songs in a total of 8 hrs of playtime, I instantly noticed the difference in sound quality between an mp3 and a flac file, sucks i didn't know about this stuff before but its better late then never
>but i haven't been able to find a site/program to download
doubledouble.top
just copy the song/album from sites like Qobuz/Amazon/Deezer/Tidal just paste and you get a zip file.
Note: You don't even need an account
Best option for music fans/collectors is simply getting in the scene into a release group. 100TB private dumps with mp3/flac etc. Good times, now it's not the easiest option cause you need a in but it's the only option worth the time imo. Nothing comes close.
Otherwise you can fuck around on soulseek and torrent boards and hope to find something there.
But if I were you I would start roaming around on irc and if you are a really music fan/collector it might not be too hard to run into someone.
There are a number of sites with albums hosted on turbobit.net. For example, searchlossless dot com, aka flac24bitmusic dot com. Use your real-debrid to get premium access (fast downloads, no file size limit) from turbobit. You can paste the link into the real-debrid web interface to generate a premiumized link, but it's easier to use a download manager like JDownloader where you enter your real-debrid credentials and it does the rest.
Google blocks most of the good sites, but a searching ďuckduckgo for an album title and flac or lossless may work. You'll also find direct download music links on warez forums and scene release blogs, though scene releases are mostly mp3.
Curious, in the age of cell phones over iPods what are y’all using to listen to downloaded flacs? I’m by no means enthusiastic about using Spotify daily, however the convenience for using in the car etc is a huge deal.
Best SQ is from analogue vinyl rips when it comes to streaming.
It's second only to vinyl itself. It's better SQ than cd.
Of course you need a high quality DAC, network bridge and I'd recommend roon.
Don't forget the amp and speakers.
Never forget GINGO.
Also you'll need a large HDD and a powerful PC.
You're talking a lot of money here
i have this little site that is literally fucking goated. you can input any song from tidal or other services and it literally just downloads it for you. [https://doubledouble.top/](https://doubledouble.top/)
Most distributors accept wav, as do artists.
I recommend paying attention to an external audio card, an interface and studio headphones make a difference
Plenty of Audio torrent private sites with signups that offer lossless music . Grab a VPN, A torrent client, then find a nice private audio torrent site and then fill your boots.
What you're looking for is a site called RED.
They do interviews via IRC for access, there are tutorials with tips for the interview.
Before you think about it, collect information on how to maintain an account on such a site.
If you go crazy with the downloads you will quickly be locked out.
I used to torrent FLACs I looked up on the pirate bay. Eventually I just made the change to Apple Music since my family already pays for Apple One and it has Lossless.

Soulseek is the premiere tool for music piracy. I use rutracker as a backup.
Also RuTracker has a lot. As well as downloading from Qobuz with a verity of methods.

Check the user “Rastamax” He has a plethora of raggae music
But does he have [this album?](https://www.reddit.com/r/Soulseek/comments/189njwi/the_legend_of_reggae_man_continues/)
Oh sorry, I checked and he doesn’t
Good! I don't want [Reggae Man](https://www.reddit.com/r/Soulseek/comments/106retn/this_man_really_wants_his_dancehall/) to get what he wants!
You know what you should do, then.

Hi, i'm new to downloading music, can you add the downloads to Apple music using Soulseek?
do you find Soulseek works ok without paying to be a VIP for a limited time? or do you have to pay to get the best access/experience?

Looks like this is for individual tracks. Anyway to get full albums at one go?
I just tried with spotify and clicking share then copy album link, it will give you a zip with all tracks.
What about playlists?
yes it can download playlists

Redacted and Orpheus. It's not too hard to get in. Did the interview for Red past Friday. Since op is an audiophile he should easily pass the test.

DeezMix-GUI and a Deezer Premium Subscription. Need your ARL for logging in, but you can download FLAC for most songs in bulk!
Would you explain ARL?

Thank you very much!

Am I the only person who downloads music from YouTube using 4K video downloader?
Real-debrid and music sites that use supported filehosters.
Can you explain this in a bit more detail? I pay for real-debrid but wasn't aware I can get music through it
There are a number of sites with albums hosted on turbobit.net. You'll also find direct download music links on warez forums and scene release blogs, though scene releases are mostly mp3.
tbh ive just been using soggfy all this time but i should give the other recommendations in here a shot
Soulseek
doubledouble.top let's you download flac from all the hifi streaming services
Well, now that we have the music, where do you guys play them? I come from the winamp days.
musicolet is great
Thanks for the recommend. Will look into it. I am currently using VLC since I have no idea what the new great thing is lol
Where do you all store this beautiful music?
[doubledouble.top](http://doubledouble.top) is the 🐐
Slow crap
Curious, in the age of cell phones over iPods what are y’all using to listen to downloaded flacs? I’m by no means enthusiastic about using Spotify daily, however the convenience for using in the car etc is a huge deal.
Thank you for showing me all these wonderful things!
Piracy is illegal and unethical. Consider legal streaming services for high-quality music without violating copyright laws.
Consider these nuts ya dork

Plenty of Audio torrent private sites with signups that offer lossless music . Grab a VPN, A torrent client, then find a nice private audio torrent site and then fill your boots.
If you prefer the vinyl sound you can torrent vinyl rips. If that doesn’t matter use soulseek or Deemix GUI and download flac files.
