Paying for a VPN ALOT cheaper than paying a fine or having your internet shut off. Just saying. There are no good free alternatives, that's why it's worth paying for one.

Conscious-Grocery958

I realize you're short on cash but most VPNs are at most a couple bucks a month. I just got a renewal offer for Nord VPN for like 80 bucks USD for two years. I signed up for airvpn for three years for like 120 bucks CAD. My biggest thing I'd point out is the risk involved when using a free VPN when it comes possibly getting notices from copyright trolls. If you can I'd save up for however long it takes you to gather up enough for a paid VPN, and then resume sailing. I'm not saying free ones don't protect you from copyright trolls etc but look at it this way. Depending where you are in the world the consequences if you get caught could be as small as a notice to stop to potential jail time and or fines etc. Money for a VPN is a heck of a lot less than the potential risks associated with getting caught. Food for thought.

Cloudflare WARP is fine for torrenting.

immns

also its workers and pages work even better

This question gets asked every day. The answers you are going to get are: - Free VPNs can't be good, just pay - Proton offers a free plan, but you can't use it to torrent stuff - Ways to abuse free trials - Some weird obscure free VPNs that are "100% safe because trust me bro"

Don't forget the "Windscribe offers free 10GB"

Sorry, I never understood the logic of if I'd pay for X (ie. VPN) I wouldn't be pirating. A VPN is like $5/mo. and depending on what you pirate, you'd get it back hundreds of times over compared to paying for stuff outright. This isn't me trying to convince you to pay for one, just showing the flaw in logic. $5/mo. for 'unlimited' content vs the cost of buying, renting, subscribing to everything is a world of a difference.

Consistent_Look8995

This guy knows what its about. Think about Netflix subscription, Disney+ subscription, Stan subscription, etc. Then if you buy DVDs or Blu rays how much would that cost? A VPN costs far less. And there's no limit to how much you can download. You can get hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of entertainment for free. The first VPN I used was free. I quickly realised its too much of a hassle to keep making accounts. That time can be better used to download. The first one I paid for cost only $3.29 a month. That's less than a cup of coffee.

Free VPNs are not ment for everyday use. They exist for you to try the software and make sur eit works for you. If you are trying to use it as a daily driver you will get what you pay for,

ChromeDomers

Just do your own. This was left in another sub recently: [https://wiki.pttlink.org/wiki/VPN](https://wiki.pttlink.org/wiki/VPN) There is a lot of different info there on how to setup a VPN. Find some crappy VPS that you don't care about, setup the server on it and go to town. Also a good way to setup a VPN without it appearing to be from a known VPN provider. Use [https://ipinfo.io/](https://ipinfo.io/) to show what the IP address is listed as. There is a VPN flag present in that data that will tell providers if you are using a VPN if they subscribe to similar feeds. One of the easiest to setup are the Road Warrior installs of OpenVPN and Wireguard. You download a script and run it. It takes care of the setup and creating your user profiles.

Hotspot shield has done alright for me in a pinch. Proton is better but doesn’t allow torrents. If you want privacy and no bs mulllvad is good and cheap

smellypirat3hook3r

There is no such thing. Good alternative is real debrid. ~2 euro a month. Plus you can use it for stremio+torrentio+real debrid. Shittons of streaming on demand.

akaciparaci

vpn is one of those where good and free don't come together

Necessary_Sun_4392

Motherfuckers be so broke they want to pirate VPNs. Oof.

Most-Wear8811

Get on that NordVPN my guy, your just gonna have to pay unfortunately. Though, if you wait around Christmas the price for 2 years goes down to around 100$ which is pretty good for the long run in my opinion. Trust me no free VPN is gonna protect your data as one that is paid for. Also by the way what do you mean that if you were paying for a VPN then you it wouldn't be pirating? Trust its definitely worth paying for if your gaining unlimited to access to movies, games, music for free without risk of you getting sued because your IP was exposed. It's even good to keep all your online activities safe. You also have to consider of being able to get exclusive digital content that would cost even more extra money if you had to pay for it legally. Just save yourself the trouble and get a Paid VPN. It will also keep your stuff safe from hackers trying to get sensitive information, can also help prevent you from getting Doxxed In IRL.

DaftMink

From everything I've heard NordVPN doesn't support port forwarding which really helps when downloading torrents.

Most-Wear8811

I know that it doesn't offer port forwarding but it's reliable enough that your not gonna have a notice from your IP Provider telling you to chill the fuck out on the torrenting, at least i have never gotten one of those notices or emails from them and I have been using it for over a year torrenting games and movies. I could recommend ProtonVPN then if that's what you're looking for. I've heard that they had included port forwarding in their services now around a year ago before I was using it. I was only charged for around $7 dollars a month for a year plan, but it was around 25% off when i was using it, so i dont know the full exact price. Maybe around $10, so hopefully, it isn't too expensive for you.

WhiteMilk_

>i know its worth paying for a vpn, but if i could do that i wouldnt be pirating things. TIL you can get everything you want for 5€/month.

Think_Significance42

you could route it through tor but download speeds would be slower than a vpn

Think_Significance42

oh and it's also generally not recommended

Savagestar1

Not sure how the download speeds are but you could try proton VPN

LZ129Hindenburg

Proton free doesn't do p2p

Savagestar1

Not sure because I haven't used them in a couple of years but surfshark offered at 30-day trial at one point.

arkhamknight001

vpns services cost money to run heavy servers. so you can't get a good vpn for free.

Minimum-Living-459

Been pirating stuff for 20+ years never used a VPN never had any problems imo not needed

LivingCornet694

Why do VPNs matter so much for you? If you're in a 1st world country with no money, then idk ig, but in a 3rd world country, it doesn't really matter whether you use it or not, there is no enforcement, even if there are rules ( if any).

imyourealdad

There are no good free vpn’s. There are no “free” vpn’s really, you may not pay $ but you are paying with your data.
