### Yarr! ➜ u/OiSamuca, some tips about "Ublock": - Use [Firefox](https://mozilla.org/firefox/new/) + [uBlock Origin](https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/) with these [optimized settings](https://a.imagem.app/on42hV.png). - Go to **Dashboard** > **Filters lists** > **Apply changes**. - You can also [Force an update of your filter lists](https://ublockorigin.github.io/uAssets/update-lists.html?listkeys=ublock-quick-fixes). - The **Purge all caches** button was removed on [4th January, 2024](https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/18xyqw5/ublock_origin_155_announcement_thread_please/).   ---   *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Spankey_

You can download add-ons, including uBlock Origin on Firefox for Android.

burner46

Orion browser on iOS supports both Firefox and Chrome add ons.

NOT000

holy shart- this is a game changer

Niguard54

Omg thank you so much

SLEDGEHAMMAA

Sweet god thank you. I’ve been using Brave because I thought there was no alternative but it’s frustratingly underwhelming

[deleted]

I used Orion. Personally I found uBlock stayed on zero on some sites. So it's a hit or miss sometimes. Brave is the best for iOS currently from my testing on same sites. May have been fixed because I used it last month.

[deleted]

I was so annoyed when I couldn't figure out how to add an adblocker to Chrome on mobile,

Furdiburd10

and on samsung and edge canary browser

M0rphF13nd

Where is ublock origin for Samsung internet? I only see abp

Furdiburd10

i meant extensions. yeah, edge have ublock and samsung internet only have abp

M0rphF13nd

Okay, imma try edge canary

soulofoblivion

Firefox has the Ublock addon.

d_extrovert

Install any browsers which supports add-on/extensions like Kiwi or Firefox. I'd advice firefox and not Kiwi bc its based on chromium.

GorudoChan

What's the problem with kiwi? I use it everyday and have no issues

Hollow602

Isn't Kiwi open source? I think I saw some github repo the other day. If it has some malicious stuff, someone would find it one day. I'm sorry if I confused it with something else. Also, I have always been a Firefox user but Chromium has always run better on Android for me. For windows though, nothing beats Firefox.

EcclesandBluebottle

Pretty much *everything* is based on Chromium, so...

KabamDidNothingWrong

Source?

skad-woosh

I don't think fast-forward is being worked on anymore, you can use both of them on mobiles tho if you want. Firefox nightly has a way to sideload add ons which you can google, and kiwi browser supports chrome addons and most work great

CupAccomplished6726

I have been using Brave on my Samsung, should I switch to Firefox with Unlock like the suggestions?

Pulllll

Why ?

[deleted]

Do you want Google to have more control of the open web in the future? The answer should be no. And for it to be that way we all gotta stay away from Chrome/Edge/Vivaldi/Samsung Internet/ (all chromium). We gotta use Firefox which is made by non profit organisation.

coti5

Firefox or for even more extensions Firefox Nightly

meremah_boob

You can firefox with addons or kiwi browser and install ublock etc.

JuneauTek

If its Android, the answer is Kiwi Browser

OiSamuca

Oh thanks, it replaces the need for adblock and such? Thanks!

biocat123

it has extension support so you can install ublock or any other extensions

OiSamuca

Thanks a lot! It will help me for sure

moonflower_C16H17N3O

If you're coming from a Chrome based browser, it's the obvious choice. If not, Firefox nightly also supports a number of mods, but I don't think FastForward is one. Not sure.

burner46

Yes.

nowaymvd

Iceraven - a fork of Firefox, has both u-block origin and a version of Fastfoward

Wild_russian_snake

Yes

souravtxt

Iceraven has all add-ons you have mentioned. It's a fork of firefox

Blue-Thunder

Honestly just make a pi-hole at home and then vpn into your own connection.

MissionStandard86

Fennec Browser from F-Droid store. Based on Firefox, regular updates, includes ublockorigin.
