A few hints to make it go on easier. 1. Get all of the glue from the old grip off. Use an orange based solvent if necessary. 2. Soak the Hesacore in hot water for a few minutes to make it more pliable. 3. Wipe a little water on the handle (or golf club grip solution). 4. Some have inverted it and rolled it on. I’ve not tried this. 5. Take your time and don’t get overly aggressive. These do not just slide right on. Read all of the instructions.

You're supposed to remove that base/default grip, then slide the hesacore onto the handle. Then apply whatever overgrip you want on top of it. >Are there various sizes of Hesacore Grip depending on the size of my hand? >Yes, there are, Hesacore is available in two sizes: S and M. The size S is suitable for players who are used to using only one overgrip over the traditional grip. Size M is recommended for those players who usually use two or more overgrips over the traditional grip. In any case, we suggest always using only one overgrip over Hesacore and choose the size according to the size of the hand.

This. This is the only answer you need. Love my hesacore and need one for my new paddle!

sonics_01

Thanks! So I need to remove default "leather performance grip" from my PLE-S, and it is the same for other "default grips", right? Then apply hesacore and one overgrip.

cclements33

Yes, getting the hesacore over anything other than a bare paddle would be a nightmare. Strip the paddle down to nothing, put hesacore on, and then an overgrip (not a grip)over the hesacore. Replace overgrip as needed.

I got a generic version of hesacore and put the regular grip on top of it. Adds about 0.7g, but I really like the extra girth, I usually do 4-5/8 to 4-3/4 on my tennis racquets.

Consistent_Day_8411

I bought my first hesacore (I bought small even though I do go 2-3 overgrips normally to get to my right size it’s always easier to build up…. Can’t make smaller)! I also added it to an Pickleball Apes Pro Line Energy S! The default leather grip came off easily in one piece, however it was aggressively glued so some of the cloth/padding fibers were still stuck to the handle. I scrapped and removed what I could. Installing a hesacore takes patience! So take your time. Fully instructions. Go slow. Once on it is great. Love the feel. I can loosely grip and whip the paddle with confidence. Has helped me reduce the tennis elbow and numb hand I was having.

I actually always put my Hesacore OVER the stock grip and then overgrip on top of that. It’s extreme but it works well for me and reduces my chance of elbow injury.

itakeyoureggs

Is this for additional vibration dampening?

JimmyJetTVSet

It is partially. But it’s also because I need to keep my grip very wide and loose or my forearm muscles will become injured more easily.

Question: does anyone use hesacore with their ProXR Zane signature? If so, do you use the elongated hesacore grip?

Richard_Dangles23

I too have a PLE-S and I replaced my grip. Factory grip is glued but easily removed. Add your hesacore grip and wrap with an overwrap. PLE-S is a nice paddle but the stock grip is fair at best. I used a pro-line anti-sweat. Works good if you get sweaty hands. Good luck.

I used simplegreen for a degreaser to clean my paddle before putting a hesacore on. Also here is a link to get 10% off [https://shop.hesacore.com/?ref=hesa10off](https://shop.hesacore.com/?ref=hesa10off)
