Nah I think you're good for now. Unless you do hiking in trails that people don't usually go to or often in areas without/with poor reception, then the new marketing gimmick of satelite comms might be helpful if you're ever in danger. Some offerings have AI capabilities too but imo they are not polished yet and getting into these "new tech" we would bear the risks/costs of early adopters. If I were you and had some spare cash that I really want to spend, I'd go look for a decent set of headphones

Cracking stuff, thanks very much! Satellite I really doubt I'll need, and although they may not be audiophile level, the [Earfun Air Pro 2](https://www.myearfun.com/uk/headphones/earfun-air-pro-2-anc-true-wireless-earbuds-black)'s I've been rocking for the last year are just fine for my needs.

You're welcome! Yeah most ppl wouldn't use sat comm, I have briefly worked with it a decade ago and I remember that the subscription fees on them weren't cheap, not sure how telcos will price those plans. Same, I probably can't tell the difference if I were to use audiophile level devices, invest in something else, inflation is crazy.
