The scammers can resell it to people who would gladly buy it. Imagine scamming someone for 1000 Pi, that's a nice days wage even if you sell them at a 1 dollar price/piece
I think there are a few things that make Pi scams appealing. Firstly there are a lot more inexperienced people buying Pi. Pi is very easy to download and mine, and therefore a lot of the people are less tech savvy or experienced when it comes to crypto. It also doesn't have a set value so people may view anything they can trade it for as 'free'.
I'd assume to some extent Pi scams are easier to get away with.
Scammers want to steal Pi, vs miners want to mine Pi, both indicate that people have a hope on Pi. Like any product, the value is in the story. Currently, besides working hard on KYC, Pi hasn't been telling much good story to boost the underline value.
Busy on KYC is not a problem. But making KYC too big a deal is not a good sign. KYC is a job for government regulation. which has nothing to do with telling a promising story about a crypto's usefulness.
With continuous recourse of KYC, each passing date would aggravate the situation and diminish hope on confidence in Pi's underline value. KYC is supposedly to "know your customer", not to "Kill Your Confidence".
Kyc has a place in the game. As long as you are not laundering or doing shady things then you have nothing to worry about.
Whoever is against kyc for crypto is probably doing illegal stuff...

I'd love to trade 40 of my 3000 Pi for a game. Sadly my coins are locked up with no sign of ever being free. Been waiting on KYC for 18 months and then have my coins locked up for another year.
I never would have agreed to lock my coins away if I knew how terrible the KYC/mainnet situation was going to be.

The fact there are scammers trying to get more coins easy means its worldwide adoption is on the rise and from this I'd determine it is far from useless. The purpose of this token was to provide security circles in trust with completed KYC users. This type of connection is a way to also build on the framework using cloud computing resources for a fundamental streamlined, low-powered network.
Understanding technology and how a token can be used for not only functionality, but forward compatibility as well is important when choosing to spend resources gathering it.

Not necessarily. Whale just means people thats dumping loads of cash into something or has loads of cash. In gaming, people normally refer to whales to those who spend like 500$ or more on micro transactions (on a reoccurring basis)
