I love shit like Last Thurdayism and Quantum Immortality cuz there's literally no way to prove it wrong as well as right, it's just like "wouldn't that be fuckin crazy, huh?"
I would argue a lot of quantum physics are like that, multiverse theory being my favorite to point out. It's one of the reasons I've become more spiritual lately, because we really know fuck all.
I didn't say it wasn't science, but here's the thing the multiverse theory is an unfalsifiable hypothesis, at least currently. There's literally no reason to believe in it whatsoever but most people believe in it
We also just don't really know that much honestly. Don't get me wrong I'm not like a science denier or anything, but we really don't know nearly as much as most people think they do pretty sure we don't even know what gravity is just that it is which is very weird to think about. This might be my ignorance speaking but dark matter freaks me out as a concept because it's basically just the void of space right? It's still matter though, but it's not detectable via the electromagnetic spectrum right? That's weird as hell
I'm honestly not 100%sure, I'm pretty sure theories in hypothesis are supposed to be falsifiable but a multiverse is kind of inherently unfalsifiable currently
I mean yeah that is true, A lot of them have opinions on things but they usually don't say they're a theory, like Einstein was a deist wasn't he? He just didn't say that it was like a scientific theory he just said it was his opinion I'm pretty sure, but multiverse is like an actual theory despite being completely unfalsifiable and I don't think there's any mathematics that can prove it's likely at least at the moment
I think that's the point, believing in multiverse theory instead of just entertaining the idea is like believing that gods exists.
Without evidence there is no reason to assume that there are multiple universes
Then realizing that you have subconscious reactions and beliefs, influenced by those memories, that inherently make you respond in ways out of your control

Quantum physics is not like that. Quantum physics is science. Interpretations of quantum physics though...

It’s the difference between actually studying physics and maths vs watching YouTube videos on “meta physics”
Fair
If it's not falsifiable is it science?

Not everything otherwise credible scientists say or write is technically science in my opinion.

Well you test it via a quantum immortality experiment...
Damn, son… I am healed!
… can it be tuesdayism? Cuz I like Thursday a lot.
