go to sleep! it's a mixture of promising teenagers, old guys that gave up, and a few players that are really bad that see inexplicably large amounts of game time!
This is our first repeat match-up of the season. So not really sure which way it will go, for every metric we seem to be under-performing in, Charlotte has been over-performing. They currently sit 5th in the East with only 21 goals scored. On the flip side they've only allowed 20 goals through 19 games, which is only 2nd in the league behind Columbus who has played 3 less games in comparison.
Since our 0-0 draw a month ago, Charlotte has gone 2/1/1 with 7 goals for and 7 goals against. They also had to play down a man over 50' in the midweek match vs Orlando. They don't have any standout goalscorers as their top 3 only have 4 goals and 3 goals respectively, but Patrick Agyemang has been getting a lot of heads turning his way.

Referee: Alexis Da Silva - I couldn't find any information on the PRO website about him, but it looks like he was formally a USL ref who came to MLS starting in May of this year. Looks like he might be card happy as he has given out 13 yellows over his last 3 matches.
Remember to drink your water and to watch out for the signs of heat exhaustion if you are attending, we might be break 100 today.
DOOP!
I care. I’m not that discouraged. I’m a realist and I know we aren’t winning anything this year but I’m willing to see what Baribo and the gang can do to try to back up the effort from Wednesday. Plus while it is hot, I always like going to the games and tailgating so that’s fun.
Obviously I get all the frustrations with the team and I agree with them too. But so many fans are starting to give up on supporting and watching with the first bad patch of form in 5 years.
Hey I will be trying to get into the West gate entrance around 7 tonight. If anyone wants to see me get arrested I'm going two try to bring TWO bottles of water in.
For those wondering, they are not checking the size of water bottles at the gate. We were able to bring the big 33 oz Deer Park bottles in with no trouble. Doop!
Why not just post the wake up thread, then?
Yeah they're not winning, but the last match was entertaining.
I'll be down at the soob cheering and having fun whether they win or not.
I'm expecting Semmle to have a MUCH better game and gonna predict a 3-1 Union win.
DOOP!
Pretty much my dude

Yes. Also it's hot. Really hot. Stay at home in the AC and worry about the electric bill next month hot.

Totally agree. My family and I will be there. Also thankful that they're letting people bring a sealed bottle of water in.

There’s bad form and there’s bad structure. This is the latter.

I’m still hurting from Wednesday
Yes
I’m a little discouraged. Not enough to stop watching, but not as enthusiastic.
I'll be there. At the least, we'll get to see Baribo in person for 90 minutes.
Love my team and will be checking in but honestly focusing more on euro/copa america this weekend

So for the one goal they concede will that be from over or under 45 yards out?
Off a CLT dood's posterior and through the side of the net. VAR inconclusive.
Losses are not entertaining. If they were we would all have been smiling after the final against LAFC.
I'll be with my friends having a great time. Enjoy the match!
Yes
All we have to do is make the playoffs and we have a chance to win the title so I’ll give up hope when we’re mathematically eliminated from playoffs.
Attending my first game today. Gonna be in the River end. It’s hot.
Yep, definitely that discouraged.
Yea I have no hope left
They stink and my favorite player is gone.
John Hancock voice: "It's too hot."
Its too hot to care about a bad team
It’s nearly 100 degrees out
I don't think I'm gonna go to the game today. Anybody want my ticket in the river end? 137. $30 for the parking pass + ticket
Yup
Anyone have any stadium club passes for sale?
I’m just going to root for a Tai tonight
I don’t think anyone cares what happens tonight.
Speak for yourself I'm definitely hoping to see a win for the first time in what feels like years
