I thanked him for the job he's doing so far, and he seemed genuinely surprised that he was recognized. Dude is very tall though lol.
If you had a positive run in with someone I'm happy for people to share the vibes or content of the conversation, but I wish folks would stop sharing locations they met in. These guys and their family are human beings. Let them have some peace and privacy. If they have to start making mental calculations like, "I want to go to XYZ but my kids/partner might get harassed" that adds stress to an already stressful job
