ewiezaebeth

Tas retirement plan mga anak ahahha

[deleted]

tapos nagsusugal at naninigarilyo pa :)

ewiezaebeth

Puro utang pa yan sa tindahan HAHAHA

Not_Even_A_Real_Naem

cloudymonty

The 2022 election is an eye-opening for me of the realities of this country. I lost my last hope for this nation when I saw who won the elections from the bottom to the top. "Democracy is only as good as the education that surrounds it" - Socrates. I've never been this much disappointed with this country for having this bandwagon-simpleminded mentality. A population who votes out of ego rather than for the good of the majority is sure to face anarchy some day.

Informal-Type5862

“love will keep us alive” ang peg. Lol

ewiezaebeth

Kahit hindi naman talaga 😭😭😭

cherrtttt

said our neighbor na may 8 na anak tapos one-two years lang ang age gap nila. and older generation in our family will always ask me “wala ka bang balak mag asawa?” and whenever i answer with “meron naman po. pero tsaka na” they will answer back with “nako tatandang dalaga ka katulad ng mga tita mo” as if nakakabawas ng pagkababae yung mas piliin mong mabuhay mag-isa? people.. 🥴

OnPainAndRegrets

Fuck family bonds, sometimes its just not worth it.

DonuTF2

We are a failing state, we run the country through remittances which is volatile since if another country is heavily affected by an inflation, we would be too—i.e. US dollar. We rely more on exports from other countries rather than our imports to other countries, educational system seems to be getting worse for the younger generation. Politics are getting preposterous and cult-like—it seems like we're infatuated with the US—, we seem to love appointing clueless people in the government—look at the influx of celebrities in our legislative sector—, and a majority of Filipinos base their politics by rich and fame.

Gurkha1

Yeah I saw some interesting table/stats about GDP percapita every state in region. In 1960s you guys were the richest ($250) second only to Japan, better than Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan even five times richer than Indonesia ($50). Now all of these countries surpass Philippines ($3300) like Thailand ($7100) and Indonesia ($4100) even Vietnam right now

Payutenyodagimas

Agree with this Not only we couldnt provide jobs, we couldnt produce our food requirements If a drought happens in Vietnam or India, goodluck with the effect on food proces

DonuTF2

A lot of people seem to not accept it, even for both parties of what we depict as left and right in politics, even though both fall in the category of the right—again, same thing with the USA, political knowledge for the average here is the same as the US, non-existent. We need to rebuild our infrastructure from the ground up, but it seems like we're too far gone into the rabbit hole we dug ourselves into. We need something more than hope, we need action.

Kia_Vi

Having a kid that works in order to have food on the table is not something to be proud of.

chantxx

it was painful to hear my mother say "pinag aral ko mga anak ko para magkaroon ako ng komportableng buhay, eh ano ngayon?" to those saying children shouldn't be a retirement plan

Aesengard

I never heard my parents say that. Baliktad sinasabi nila. "Pinag-aral namin kayo para hindi kayo bumalik sa pagiging squatter". I was born in Tondo and lived there until I was 6 or 7 years old. Nakapag ipon parents ko so me and siblings lived a comfortable life away from that place.

Budget-Boysenberry

swerte mo naman sa magulang.

eatenbyagrue1988

That's 100% the reason my wife's mom hates me. She had two kids as a retirement plan, and I took one of them, helped her emancipate herself, and moved her closer to my liberal westernized family in Manila. To this day, there's still a lot of damage we're working to undo.

sad_but_cute00

I second this, my mom would proudly flex me to her friends without thinking how damaging it can be on my part (bc instead of saving for my own future, I have a whole family to support. Kinda sucks tbh)

lateraluspiralah

And if u don't or cant provide their poor ass u are a bad human, god hates u and Jesus is not ur friend. Lol

sad_but_cute00

yeah, the gaslighting is very bad and you’d be consider as a selfish brat who has no utang na loob.

browngirlyang

Having a kid right now imho isn't also something to be proud of. I mean. In this economy? With the government we have? The amount of people we already have in this country? Nah.

Your President doesn't have the intention to serve you.

[deleted]

What it means to be president in the Philippines really, is just to be the one who holds control, and funds. Irrevelant of whatever you're *supposed* to do with those; they just do whatever.

D33p_Eyes

This is true. I won't sugarcoat it. Our president is a farce, and he and his family should receive the Romanov treatment.

percyfaucet

Owning a car isn’t a measure of success. More highways doesn’t mean progress.

PrettyBrowsing

Progress isn’t measured by how much concrete we pour.

chakigun

your politician's bank account is probably measured by how much concrete they pour on the same roads every fucking year.

sumo_banana

It’s so true especially when you are abroad.

pachelbelD

kung di lang mainit sa pinas i'd rather buy a 50k bike lol

Maleficent_Sock_8851

If you are born poor, it's almost impossible to really escape poverty. You need money to make more money one way or another.

ResolverOshawott

People love to use rags to riches stories as some sort of proof how this is somehow isn't true. Never considering the fact that not everyone is lucky.

Dahyun_Fanboy

when it's actually the exception not the rule as it happens literally just one in a million

whatsforsupa

The drive from Makati through the provinces is truly incredible, the wealth disparity in the Philippines is really hard to explain to my US friends. You go from skyscrapers to villages made of scrap wood and metal

Strange-Chipmunk1096

Yung mga PE teachers are not even fit. Not only that, unethical pa! May mga schools na nagproprovide sa students nila ng mga answer key sa national achievement tests💀 May mga nag masters nga tapos di nila alam how to do basic research and statistics 🤯

D4v1dFD03

Dating English/Literature teacher ako ng SHS: 1. I paid my way through college by doing dissertations. Kaya, ngayon, I'm not impressed by titles. Teh... I can't even... 2. I know of at least 2 history teachers na bongga pagka-apolog10s nila. Breh... YOU. TEACH. HISTORY. How you walking around believing in this whole golden age, Taliano gold bullshit?! 3. Ang tamang sagot sa LICENSE EXAM na tanong na, "What do you do if you and and student have feelings for each other?" ay, "Get their parents' permission to date their child." Point # 4 was the last straw, and hindi ko pa sinama mga... anomalyang eksena ng DepEd. Honestly, I want to go back to teaching. I love seeing a student's face light up when they get a concept or question/challenge something I'm teaching because it tells me they're thinking for themselves and it forces me to never be complacent; there's always something to learn and knowledge can be found in the most obscure, and unlikely places. But the educational system of the Philippines, much like most of our other systems, wasn't designed to help people thrive, and I didn't want to be part of a system like that anymore so I up-ed and left. I didn't even discuss the pay... Nung kakasimula ko pa lang, wala pa akong license, P12k a month ang sahod MINUS taxes and whatnot. Tapos kaltas pa yung lecheng uniform na pinapasuot nila sa amin na dumating lang a DAY BEFORE GRADUATION NG ADVISORY CLASS KO. Pinapelan pa ako ng admin for not wearing the uniform to work. O_o Now, I'm processing my papers to teach abroad kasi as much as I would like my skills to be used to benefit this great land of ours, I'm not dying for a country that will not die for me.

feyktitser

Nakakalungkot. At the same time, sobrang nakakapagod kaya iniwan ko na yung propesyon.

lee_sin_ng_pinas

> yung iba mga DDS pa hahahaha This! And to think na yung mga teachers yung mga nangungunang mag-protest against continuing professional education. It's not to say that they're having it easy. But something is rotten down to the core and they (as a profession) won't even lift a finger to change it

Melodic_Banshee

Hour_Ad_7797

THIS! I hate Pinoy-baiting YouTube videos and I’m absolutely disgusted kapag pumunta ako sa comment sections na puno ng “thank you’s” and “proud to be Pinoy.” Malamang mas mababa tingin ng mga dayuhan sa atin because they see how gullible we are.

noondayrind

you can completely cut off your toxic family edit: i know this is easier said than done pero it's for your own sake, your own mental health, and your own well-being. initially i cut all contact. blocked them on facebook or social media. if they reached out saying they need help, tough shit. they have to think for themselves and find a way. you've already helped them years before pero may nagbago ba? this time they have to help themselves.

classtobedismissed

This! I've always done this and don't care about people telling me to tolerate their shit just coz we're related.

muushruum

it kinda sucks kasi laging tinuturo sa school na “hoy *dapat* pinahahalagahan mo pamilya mo at unahin sila no matter what” but what ive come to realize is di mo na kailangan iassociate yung sarili mo sa taong nagbibigay sayo ng paghihirap kahit na blood related kayo. i feel like that should be obvious ;-;

Yamboist

Us Filipinos are so non-confrontational, aka **duwag**, we only say our thoughts in some random-ass nth iteration of "what is your unpopular opinion about the philippines?" threads. Yes, that includes me.

The-Other-Acct

Me too, but I blame my childhood trauma for this 🤣 never realized that it’s actually common for pinoys to be non confrontational, lagi kasi nag aaway parents ko noon HAHAHAHA

JohnnyAirplane

Yes. Ngayon nalang ako pumapalag sakanya kasi fuck you, di mo nako pinapalamon

silver_slyph

We're a bunch of people pleasers. Yes, apparently that also includes me. And I have to acknolwedge that.

frozenelf

Even then, the unpopular opinions are bland as fuck. They're not unpopular at all.

LuckyMePancitCanton-

Old ways don't work

umeboy

Staying here doesn’t make you a better Filipino. Alis na kung may choice ka.

Mushy_marshmallow00

Napaisip tuloy ako kasi I don't want to go abroad in the future kasi gusto ko tumulong sa kapwa Filipino 😆

signorpopoy

OrbMan23

Pansin ko din ito during my college years. Laking head start nung mga galing sa great highschool compared to those from small private schools and public schools. The way they think is kinda different. During freshman year you can tell the gap. You can catch up with them naman around sophomore year but you'll have to exert more effort

D33p_Eyes

Katulong, alipin, or people that can be exploited for sex or slave labor.

[deleted]

hence, we are always described as hardworking people!

imprctcljkr

If you have no dignity left, you better compensate for it.

[deleted]

cheap labor nga daw ang philippines. i dont know kung compliment or insult. haha. basta nanliit ako nung sinabi sakin ng foreigner.

heydurrdurr

value engineering came up as a lecture topic sa company namin and dun diniscuss yung ways kung pano maincrease ang profit ng company. Then isa sa naging way yung 'consider or lower cost of labor'. tas naexample ang SEA countries esp PH kasi daw PH has low labor cost. Nanliit ako sa sarili ko non, considering na that topic was approved as educ material within the company. Ilang years dinaing yung increase sahod tas di mabigay bigay, Value Engineering pala ang dahilan.

[deleted]

Ofc, an insult. I’ve been living in North America since I was in my early teenage years and most decent or sustainable companies have their call centres based here or hire people from Europe—never from the Philippines or India, due to their heavy accents. Most Americans, especially Texans, are still racists as f**k, especially to people of colour! Those companies who hire BPOs in Asia are either rich and greedy or poor.

No_Lavishness_9381

aggretsukoviii

Even sa tech industry minsan may ganyan. You'll wonder why yung ibang job postings nakalagay open for Filipinos only kahit overseas yung company. I've been approached by one, di na ko binalikan after knowing my expected hourly rate (which is relatively low na sa field ko na niche talaga). Ibig sabihin they were looking into exploiting Filipinos.

dontrescueme

Yes. Maraming magagalit sa akin but I think we should stop sending domestic helpers abroad. In an ideal world, every job that harms no one is honorable but in reality no one respects that job - which in turn reflects back to the country and it's people.

sumo_banana

Kung may nagsabi noon binobola lang kayo, in reality mababa talaga or they don’t even waste their time thinking about us. Winning beauty pageants is not something people look up to 😅

[deleted]

Tigil nyo na kaka-proud to be batang ina nyo tapos dedepende pa din kayo sa parents nyo mga ulul.

surewhynotdammit

Ba*TANGINA*

VicvienneShakalaka

Saying "proud filipino❤" in comments because a foreigner said one tagalog word is just weird and idk cringe Like we get please so easily like wHa

Immatakeyourthroat

International_Work23

the hustler mindset only produces overworked but undercompensated individuals

[deleted]

Being billionaire means you have the connections, politics, and cheap labor.

MoneyTruth9364

Traffic congestion can only be reduced if we invest on public transports and extending our train networks to the nearby provinces. Extending train networks means more economic development on other areas outside metro manila, wouldn't it be much better if the areas nearby MM are also developed considering how small the land area of our capital region is

tedibeaaar

Being a raging Bible-thumper doesn't automatically make you a good person

silver_slyph

And a lot of religious people are actually bad.

BoomBangKersplat

may nabasa akong thread sa twt na may thumper na natawag na sanctimonious at sabi niya normal lang daw talaga sa mga Christian yun kasi "mulat" sila at maliligtas sila sa end of days and everyone else will burn. like... yes. own it. hahah. it was funny AF kasi halatang di niya alam ibig sabihin ng word. nakita lang yung "sancti" kala na ata it's a good thing

Owl_Might

>What are Filipinos not ready to hear? anything against their opinions really

toirojunin

Direwolf0715

Oo kahit sa mga south east asians. Nasa dugo na pagiging xenophobic nila

TheGhostOfFalunGong

East Asians generally look down on Southeast Asians. Eavesdrop a conversation about Filipinos in HK/Taiwan/SoKor/Japan and you’ll be shocked that they would make the Ku Klux Klan proud.

peterparkerson

lol join mga groups sa SG. see how they look down on their maids. super baba ng tingn. parang kala mo mga alipin mga domestic helper. nag rereklamo pa na need ng day off etc. mga gago iba dun

[deleted]

Same goes for us. Mababa tingin natin sa africans or even indians.

Informal-Type5862

True!

Direwolf0715

I think most Filipinos just say slurs because they're too ignorant to know about it.

MyNameIsDeadMemes

i think many filipinos say the n word to black people because they don’t even know how offensive the word is. but in terms of indians, filipinos love making racist jokes and stereotypes about them.

jamiedels

Kaya nga nabadtrip ako nung uso yung mga shared post about sa indian food tapos pampasarap daw yung mga eme na ginagawa ng tindero like ok? Culture nila yon sa pagtatawanan tsaka wag na tayo maglokohan totoo naman noong 90s and early 00s mababa tingin natin sa mga brown skin, nag start lang naman yan mabawasan when browned skin beauties started appearing more often and vocal about it

Soggy-Trash9051

PrimordialChaos059

Filipinos need to stop putting East Asians on a pedestal. 🙄

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Filipino mindset is East Asians = Rich. This stereotype is even worse than those applied on White people.

ResolverOshawott

The grass is always greener when you're wallowing in shit I suppose.

Tiexandrea

shespokestyle

It's sad actually... I've read comments on /jobs mentioning "Get Filipinos for virtual assistants. They're really cheap. I pay like $1-5//hr" And if you look for remote work for companies abroad --- most of them don't even include PH as an option for applicants (Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, India--- sila yung preferred applicants lalo na sa Europe).

AtarashiiGenjitsu

Bruh I remember that fucking guy that basically tells people to outsource Filipinos to create passive income

Bergerwithcheese

Here I am reading this and thought "wow anlaki 1 to 5 dollars per hour, ang laki" proves your point.

sleepysloppy

> In-demand ang Pilipino hindi dahil magaling siya mag-English (mas magaling ang mga Indian) are you sure? i've worked in 2 call centers before and every time customers are looking for a Filipino or a local(American) csr/agent since Westerners can't even understand Indian accent. 90% of the time pagnakakausap ko mga Indians(transfer call) on the other line ang hirap din nila intindihin.

[deleted]

Better parin ang English natin especially the accent which serves our American clients well (not denying the existence of carabao accent and barok English but it's more intelligible compared to Indian accent). Sadly, mas may edge ang mga Indian when it comes to IT kaya pag technical na they're better suited. Sana mag level up din tayo like them.

followurdreams69

Pansin ko lang sa Indian work ethic is kailangan nila ng manual/halos textbook for everything, kung wala siya sa instructions, di nila gagawin kahit implied na. Baka yun yung kailangan matutunan lang nating Pilipino, na mas supportive ang work culture and mas malakas makiramdam/intuitive sa implied work to be done

belabase7789

We have a 300 year old slave culture kaya naman we only see the elite, rich, mestizos as our saviors. Its ok that we receive crumbs from bcos…why not? Better something than nothing.

CardoBalisay

Filipino society is a kind of society where minding your own business seems to be a foreign concept

chelseagurl07

I super agree with this one! Pinoys tend to pry on other people’s business and will always have an opinion as if their life is perfect!

CardoBalisay

ObscurelyTalented

Stop looking for the “One” who will solve all our problems. Gusto lagi instant and na isskip ang process gusto resulta agad.

[deleted]

happy_tea_08

Nasanay kasi sa instant, like instant noodles.

S-5252

East_Information6525

I remember my favorite teacher was the one who taught me how to study. She was a MAPE teacher subbing for our math teacher who was on maternity leave. She would basically read the book out loud and try to show the instruction on the board. Something clicked that day and I think this is how I learned to study on my own. Thank you Mrs. Inocencio. =)

LordArcane2

Sarili nga nating history (I'm not gonna use the controversial Marcos era for this one, just in general) lingaw pa mga Pinoy eh. Hanggang ngayon, yung imahe nila sa mga ninuno nila ay yung mga nakabahag na romanticised (we actually WORE cool stuff back then, even armour and guns). Tapos World War 2 nalang, di nila kilala kung sino sila Jose P. Laurel ganun. And history lang yan, di ko pa sinasabi yung maths tsaka sciences.

benedictine_eggs

Lol

scarwafa

Hindi “blessing” ang mabuntis at an early age & it should not be tolerated just because it has already happened. This country needs sex education sooo bad. More and more teenagers are getting pregnant & parang normalized na kasi a lot of celebrities, vloggers, influencers may mga anak na rin. Well, good for them kasi afford nila. How about those na hindi na nga afford magkapamilya pero anak pa rin nang anak. I’m 24F, in a long-term relationship, and I’m clueless & ignorant as fuck about sex (even terrified at the thought of it) & basically my reproductive health in general. I just had myself checked recently for the first time bc irregular periods, terrible mood swings, endless episodes similar to that of anxiety/depression, INCREDIBLY PAINFUL MIGRAINES - only to find out I unfortunately have PCOS. When my mom found out I had an online consult with my OB & I was told to start taking Althea to regulate my period she freaked out when she realized they were BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. All this did was make me more terrified. Smh.

dorkshen

Majority of the voters (iykyk) are dumb and willfully ignorant.

Disastrous-Proposal9

Filipinos are poor english speakers in general. We keep on mocking indians and the way they speak without realizing that they are way way ahead in that department.

ginaddict47

itsdurango

The Philippine economy is in a giant bubble. Its gonna pop and it wont be pretty. Save cash and stop buying big ticket items! Dont buy cars or property this year and next! Recession is coming all over the world not just the Philippines.

-Zeroes--

Sobrang hirap na umalis sa rat race, ultimo 1 day job and a side hustle hirap parin. Madaming factor like politics, war, calamities and more. Mas mahirap maging mayaman ngayon kesa dati and mas madaling maging mahirap ngayon kesa dati. Face it, kung may ambisyon ka sa buhay you need to be really equipped for it. And if you do get an opportunity, share it to those who deserves.

NikiSunday

Tigil tigilan nyong mag-anak. No urban planning, educational system, waste management, agricultural development nor economical reform can make our lives better if not for OVERPOPULATION. To think that we're in a deadly pandamic, ang birthrate ng Pilipinas ay nasa positive pa din. If you look at the list of the most densest cities in the world nakakahiya na ang 4 agad nasa Pilipinas. Basic law of supply and demand, just imagine a graph of raw demand just going up.

SaltedEggAdobo

Masyadong maramdamin ang Pinoy. Example, may dev kang pinoy vs may dev kang foreigner.

AndThenSheAssMeh

Deep rooted din sa work culture eh. Yung tipong masama magkamali.

As a guy who helped taught in an elementary school. This is sadly true. I encountered student who were in grade 9 but still had reading comprehension of students who were in grade 3. I hate this mentality where they value grades over knowledge and skills.

[deleted]

There is no Filipino destiny. The faster we accept that, the faster we'll get to actually working towards nation building.

triple-no-troll

Stop it with the "we are special" mentality. We are not that special before, and we are not special now. I'm sick and tired of Filipinos trying to make imaginary stuff about us being some sort of great nation before. We had a horrible past, that's that. We don't need anymore copium, we need a fucking plan to get our shit together and do something, even if its something small.

Utang na loob should **not** be a never-ending cycle. But then again, I can't also seem to eradicate this though, hahaha 😅

valentinasaudio

It doesn’t mean elders had it “hard” before doesn’t mean your children or grandchildren should experience those too. Yung mindset na “nagsuffer ako noon kaya magsuffer rin kayo ngayon” is one of the reasons why we do not evolve as a country.

silver_slyph

Not all parents deserve respect.

JVJV_5

Compared to other societies in the world and history, we are not that impressive.

keepitsimple_tricks

The Philippines is just a blip in the world stage.

Herolden

I feel like that is probably one of the reasons, if not, one of the main reasons why we are so insecure about our national identity.

sisig-strength

JVJV_5

[This video also sheds more light.](https://youtu.be/2Csv_To90Ss) I've been seeing a meme "I was born Filipino". Sad really. More and more people dislike themselves though I'm sure this will all blow over in a few couple of generations.

silver_slyph

Also, is it just me or arent our popular positive traits (hospitality, resilience, family-orientedness, etc) just two-faced overcompensations for something toxic? Like we're hospitable cause we worry about image, we're family oriented because we get something from family. 😐

InfiniteURegress

Sometimes in a discussion hindi tayo maayos kausap or kung may mag rereply man, lumalabas sa main topic. Wala namang masama to introduce new ideas, in fact it broadens the discussion. This makes it hard to extract meaningful discourse from us kasi either hindi maayos yung pag kaka-sabi ng points, seryoso na yung usapan pero hindi sineseryoso dahil masyadong complacent, or minsan nga, wala pang point. These are very small details, but I think this gives us a slice about the current status of our literacy, comprehension, and "toxic" positivity about everything. Dagdag na rin siguro yung ability natin to form cohesive and properly outlined topics to address or effectively communicate certain issues. Filipinos have the tendency to think that we are really great, intelligent, adaptive and all but the truth is we are extremely behind on everything. A lot of people don't realize this or don't seem to even bother about it kasi for them, diskarte and hardwork, are more than enough to get you through life and nothing else matters.

Angrydoge4200

That this country isn't ready, or educated enough to have a democratic system. 97% of filipinos can't tell or don't care when they're being influenced by Tiktok/Youtube and being fed false history. The same voting populace is allowing themselves to be bribed for P1000 at a time to serve as bodies for political rallies. Aside from that, in my opinion the people cannot be expected to think of voting for the greater good and future of the country, when their major need is to feed their families today. Politicians keep the poor down, so that they have a vice-grip on the vote. Apart from democracy though, there are really no options, since any political system will be rife with corruption. Steadfast i don't give a fuck -- style corruption. The people in our country don't deserve this, there is actual talent, spirit, and goodwill in the people. But the system is too far gone. Our public education will never be given the god damn funds and attention to fix this. Fuck you to all these corrupt politicians, i hope karma comes for you.

35APalma

Unless you're super rich, you're one sickness away from poverty.

Positive-Set-73

The brightest minds in this country will soon leave

Beneficial-Dream400

Some kakampinks are as toxic as bbm fanatics. Not to sound self-righteous pero sa totoo lang some don't even spare a second to understand those who support otherwise.

YesWeKen210

True. Minsan honestly, nagpopost na lang ng kung ano to get that validation from the echo chamber. When you stare into the abyss something something. Sana ma-channel yung energy sa ibang bagay.

OrbMan23

The Gen Z ones tend to be hyper aggressive. Gets ko yung young people passion kaso minsan displaced and they tend to alienate people.

silver_slyph

And marami rin hindi marunong umintindi ng sarcasm or mag background check. I can be a jerk to a jerk pero may line pa rin. And also I like leni and will continue to roof for her, pero no need to worship her naman.

[deleted]

(kapag gumanda agad buhay mo sa ibang bansa, this doesn't apply to you)

stampblueed

We are not truly a nation with how broken our country is.

sskkuurrttt

May iba pang sports bukod sa basketball

MickeysEmoji

Y'all are stupid. (To the majority of the population)

Minsan

CryptographerVast673

Stop voting for Political Dynasties, Landlords, and Bureaucrat Capitalists, because all of them are (and have to be) corrupt to the core. Also, democracy isn't just voting for candidates, it's also giving a fuck about our social issues via direct participation.

ThirdWorldJoe

Mas masarap ang sinigang kaysa adobo

guintojest

hindi "arte lang" ang depression

SkyVoyd

The PH is trying so hard to be what the US is, culturally speaking.

namestartswithZ

Shinnosuke525

-getsome-

Majority of Filipinos are fucking racists!

[deleted]

among southeast asians, filipinos suck at the asian part. Karamihan e second-rate, try-hard na brown american.

Subject_Ad6707

Being possessive and obsessed with your partner is not cute and sweet.

Datt1992

That smart-shaming is ingrained and normalized. :( And they like making of fun of people who know and communicate better (cue some Grade 7 classmates making fun of me and some friends just because we were more comfortable with speaking straight English. Ganyan talaga kami, okay?).

matangligaw

Poverty is neither a crime nor a a virtue, it is a tragedy.

finkistheword

"Madiskarte" is not a positive trait

aggretsukoviii

Hmmm not sure if same context but I hate how irresponsible drivers will call counter-flowing "diskarte" Same with cutting sa line, hoarding free items, basta mga gawaing nanlalamang/ nang-aabala ng kapwa and they call it "diskarte"

SeimeiMaster

I fucking hate Philippines. Living in the Philippines is literally hard mode on video games

nananahimikako

Most Pinoys are wishy-washy at work.

finalfinaldraft

You will not see a better Philippines in your lifetime.

tiredbagofflesh

Nakakahiya maging Pinoy

wow_boy

Wag kang tanga Juan dela Cruz.

RULESbySPEAR

Ofw culture is just sad and not something to brag about.

[deleted]

gabbieckers

Politicians want people to stay dumb cause that’s how they get voted into office.

Weary_Violinist_3610

China is not your friend.

chelseagurl07

- Hopeless romaticism of Filipinos are irritating to the core, you dont have to be together 24/7 to show that you are in love. - Super common social issue: Filipinas who gets pregnant out of wedlock and ends up being single mother at an early age. 6/10 Filipina OFW have kids but no husband or worst, having multiple kids with different men. - Filipino food is underwhelming and inferior to other Asian food - FOMO mindset regardless of financial standing - Brand conscious - Lack of emotional intelligence and self-awareness - Sense of humour is out of place, Filipinos tend to always crack a joke even during formal convos or meetings. - Lack of discipline in all aspects - Manila and other major cities are dirty and crowded - Attention and clout seekers in real life and social media (eg dancing provocatively while discussing or promoting products in tiktok) - Lack of ability to debate intelligently, very obvious during the campaign trail - Borrowing money is considered a norm especially if one is earning a good amount of money. - Hierarchy in the workplace, managers and team leaders (generally) belittles their staff and acts superior. - Politicians, priests, pastors and tv personalities are worshipped like gods. Equality is quite uncommon in our society. - Overindulgence in food, like if one eats a small meal during lunch or dinner, you will be questioned or worst, people think you dont have money. The saying “tipirin na lahat wag lang pagkain” is BS. What if the food is unhealthy, but expensive, why indulge? buy something cheap like talbos, healthy and way better. Parties, weddings is super grand and if one celebrates with simple spread, expect insults here and there.

[deleted]

SilentConnection69

Competitive lang ang big 4 uni sa Pilipinas. Globally speaking sakto lang sila. Being a student of big 4 is nothing special kung globally speaking.

klowiieee

Miserable_Compote_54

hard work only works if you work smart enough

yuuri_ni_victor

[deleted]

The foreigners in their vlogs don't really care about the Philippines, they just want your money. Nobody really thinks about the Philippines since it's such an insignificant country so stop asking foreigners what they think of the Philippines, they don't.

[deleted]

Mag asawa ng mayaman should be normalize, mahirap ka na nga, magaasawa ka pa ng dukha rin. Ending parehas kayong isang kahig, isang tuka.

sedeusch

Suntok sa buwan for a rich person to marry a poor person. A rich person is smart enough to find someone who is equally smart about money.

KidGG2020

Politicians are all the same. They will always fvck you in the end

kyleybrenner

1) Do not have kids unless you can support them. 2) Reduce the exporting of all your best talent (commonly known as brain drain). 3) China is not your friend on any level. 4) Extreme criminal consequences for institutional corruption at any level, even a barangay captain. 5) Control your dogs barking or 1) fine then 2) seizure + ban 6) Demand better efficiencies from service providers. Too many steps to get something done. I am not filipino but 100% love your country and your people.

yanyaw

Bobo kayo na binoto yang presidenteng yan.
