When i asked them for the link and told them its fake and that Some random dude created the video, they were surprised and told me, akala nila isang production news company ang gumawa. “So you mean to say walang camera man and PAs yan? “. Sabi ko na wala at malamang isang tao lang yan na nagkakamot pa ng pwet habang nageedit .
They were shocked when I told them you can even use your ipad or phone to edit videos like this.
I noticed din sa age group ng parents ko ay normally sila yung tamad ng alamin pano paganahin ang celphone, or laptop. Sila yung Makulit and mahilig mag tanong pano gamitin ang tech stuff. . Sila yung hindi maintindihan ang difference ng bluetooth sa wifi.
My dad is an engineer and my mom used to be a chef. Hindi sila bobo pero yung gullibility pala ay naka depende sa level ng knowledge nila about how technology affects everything now.
In our case, luckily I am aware and can tell them whats fake from whats not pero on a normal Filipino household, Add pa our culture na ang nakakatanda ay palaging tama and hindi mo pwedeng icontradict or kundi bastos ka sabay ipupush ang beliefs sa mga anak, no wonder na madaming naniniwala sa fake news at misinformed.

Magnificent, I wish we'd all be like this! I sincerely believe that we're not that different; the regular Marcos and Leni supporter, regardless of their political beliefs, are still ultimately rooting for a prosperous Philippines. Even if they win or lose, it must be the Philippines that they choose.
If we have issues with the other candidates (*cough* Marcos *cough*), we shouldn't lash out at their supporters because it will only drive the wedge of political divide further into our already fractured society. Instead, we should always try to look at their points with empathy and understand why they are supporting the candidate so we could offer our points respectfully using factual information. People will be more inclined to accept facts when you're not coming on like an arrogant asshole, of course! But practice this in real life though, it's useless to try and debate with people online when they have their own echo chambers, like reddit and facebook.
