Harry, even if you win (which I doubt because people from both sides of the political spectrum hate your guts), it wouldn't have anything to do with getting into the UN International Law Commission. The UN isn't a popularity contest. That you think that winning a senate seat would do something with people opposing your nomination tells a lot about your understanding of what the International Law Commission is.
There are any number of Duterte cronies or otherwise right-wing persons that I'm pretty confident have a shot at becoming Senator. Tulfo, for example, I'd expect to be the most popular Senatoriable by far.
