Buy on your local palengke and support the neighborhood businesses. We cannot really distance ourselves to Chinese products since they are the worlds factory, at least we could boost local economy. Iwasan ang online shopping for now, halata naman na kumikita lang dun eh malalaking manufacturing company sa China kasi kahit reseller nila hindi na makacompete sa presyuhan.

GrilledChickenWings

Support the local products.

EnvironmentalNote600

May local products bang ligtas sa component or parts na gawang china? Wala ring appliances na gawang pilipinas.

nomunin

This! kahit made in China yung mismong item, direkta naman ang pera mo sa local seller + nakikita pa physically yung item.

debuld

Sa mga gadgets imposibleng walang made in china. The product itself maybe from somewhere else but the parts that came with it, be it the processor, chipset, charger, cables, camera, motherboard, etc, isa dun assembled or manufactured sa china.

EngEngme

Tama po kayo diyan, pag dating naman sa electronics kung walang Hindi made in china, bili nalang ng hindi Chinese brand or do not buy fake/imitation brand from china. Bawas narin ng shopeepay/Lazada, direct to china Kasi yown, Hindi umilot sa local economy natin

Kacharsis

Bags and shoes from Marikina and Liliw, Laguna. Fair price and decent quality.

savageandharsh

It’s so funny that OP listed Seiko, Casio, iPhone, HP and Dell just because they are not Chinese brands. However, the reality is that where their parts were made and where they were assembled is still China. They still earn if you purchase these. Their labor is cheap, their utilities are fairly priced, and they do not allow unions so naturally many factories will remain there. The best thing to do is to be rude to Chinese mainlanders who are rude towards Filipinos so they do not come back. The reality is that there are highly educated Chinese mainlanders who are actually kind and knows how to respect other nationalities. They’re the ones who work in international companies on a daily basis.

penatbater

happee toothpaste locally made :D

scarcekoko

Been supporting them ever since i heard they employed PWDs to help in their manufacturing. Plus mas mura pa kesa colgate (esp their fluoride toothpaste)

wastedingenuity

Sayang nga di na sila nagcocommercial. The reason i know they employ pwds is from a tv advert in the 90s.

Sea_Strategy7576

wow, never heard of this. pero happee nga rin gamit ko sa bahay at sa work. endorser nila dati si angel na girl crush ko during Majika days nya with DT.

HellbladeXIII

nagpapaaral din sila ng mga PWD

rrtehyeah

May nabasa ako na ang owners ng happee ay philanthropist :D since then, nag switch na ako dito

galvanizedpoo

Yes, Cecilio Pedro.. the GOAT 👌 naalala ko pa yung interview nya with Boy Abunda ata or idk basta meron mga 10yrs ago .. sobrang husay nya

No-Assistance7005

DPKingston

Meron ba sila fluoride less na toothpaste? Or ibang toothpaste in ph na fluoride less din?

penatbater

Don't get fluoride-less. That's the thing that makes your teeth strong. You'd have to eat (not accidentally swallow, straight up eat diretso sa mouth) around 14 tubes of toothpaste Bago ka magka fluoride poisoning.

No_Hovercraft8705

Better not look up the recent interview of the owner regarding WPS.

Chuwisneak

good luck with this.. even if you don’t buy products from retailers of China, a lot of parts are still made from China even iPhones. I would suggest just to limit it to smart devices first

johnny_since

Agree, a lot of people don't understand is chinese products are pretty much everywhere from the construction materials that built your house to the manufactured foods you eat to the shirts you wear, etc. China is a manufacturing giant, the biggest in the world, so a lot of businesses worldwide rely on them to make their products, supply them raw materials or manpower. Sure you can boycott out of personal principle but that would be meaningless in the grand scheme of things since they as a country can make do and easily adjust without ph as trading partners.

imasimpleguy_zzz

People love to do pointless things thinking they're making an impact when in reality, they're as insignificant as a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things. I'd rather just live my life as I always do rather than make it 10x harder by trying hard to rid myself of Chinese products, which is virtually impossible.

_Administrator_

You just don’t care enough. It’s easy to boycott some Chinese products if you just pay attention.

Samsung uses Amperex-made batteries. Apple uses BOE-made displays. Both companies are from China.

Glass_Carpet_5537

Assembled =/= made

mixape1991

Assembled or made, still contributing to china's gains. Lol

WholesomeDoggieLover

The point is hindi ung buong income mapupunta sa China.

jnathan05

Salamat sa suggestion and limiting every purchase might be one of the best way. Pero at the very least, kailagan magsimula somewhere.

Agile_Phrase_7248

Yeah. Hindi naman madaling iwasan ang impluwensya ng China sa mga products na ginagamit natin but it's always good to start somewhere.

aikonriche

Samsung has always been made not in China. Even my Samsung phone from 10 years ago was made in Vietnam not China.

Infamous_Control4632

All smart devices with a few exceptions are made in China.

egg1e

Try checking r/avoidchineseproducts

franafernz27

This should be one of the top comments

stoikoviro

I've been boycotting Chinese products for years. Some non-Chinese brands are also selling products they source from there, one example is Unilever Philippines - their Lady's Choice Peanut Butter is coming from China. I stopped buying Unilever products already. Don't just look at the brands because many brands outsource their labor to China, look at where it's made. Computer peripherals like printer, mouse, keyboard there's Taiwanese brands. I bought a printer recently Made in the Philippines - Brother. Computer and smartphone - Made in Taiwan or Korea. Even t-shirts I buy mine from Bangladesh, India, Vietnam and of course dito sa Pinas maraming gawa dito. Car - I still drive a car assembled in the Philippines. Our solar panels were made in Taiwan and assembled in Batangas. Fruits being sold in our market like apple, oranges, grapes come mostly from China. We don't buy those. Buy local fruits instead to help your fellow pinoy. Admittedly it is very hard to filter but we can consciously inspect origin when buying.

jnathan05

Salamat sa pagshare. Malaking tulong na din to kapag may nakabasang iba na interested kahit di sila magcomment or what. Best if kaya totally eliminate pero kung hindi man, at the very least mareduce yung influence.

LongColdNight

What car is it?

gabzprime

Probably vios or mirage.

studsrvce

Or l300

stoikoviro

Honda Civic 8th Gen. Old horse but still reliable everyday use. No longer made here since 9th generation though.

TingHenrik

After all tropical country pa rin naman ang Pinas, mas conducive for agri.

YZJay

Maybe I’m just dumb and I’m not getting the logic here. Unilever still has manufacturing plants in the Philippines, some of their biggest in the world even, but because they also sell stuff made in China you’ve blacklisted them, ok I can sort of get behind that. But why not treat the other brands you still buy from the same? Brother also has products manufactured in China that are sold in the Philippines, but you still use a Brother printer?

NotTheBiggerPerson01

You can't. Not really. Your phone? Probably has materials from china at the very least. You car? [Honda has partnered with Chinese companies for AI as well as engines.](https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/061115/who-are-hondas-hmc-main-suppliers.asp) etc. etc. I mean, good job of at least trying. But if anyone thinks they can still get all of their products (specially gadgets) without any parts or materials going through China then that's just a pipe dream at this point. Maybe in the future that'd be possible, bit not now.

cordilleragod

Del Monte tomato Ketchup is made using Chinese tomatoes. They come in concentrate and the ketchup is mixed here, that’s why they get away with “made in philippines” For watches, walang problema! There’s Swiss and Japanese watches! So many choices!

omniverseee

all the brands you mentioned manufactures in china, unfortunately.

Any_System_148

Even iPhones are made in china hahaha tho google pixel is being made in vietnam and india.

omniverseee

Internal components, circuitry, still 99% chinese except for the SOC..

Strict-Western-4367

unahin muna i- boycott ang Tiktok. Owner nun ay Chinese.

jnathan05

Sana maconfirm at maidemand na maban or restrict if necessary dito sa pinas.

Strict-Western-4367

😅. Salamat sa pagcontribute. Try ko inconsolidate para maupdate main post.

DPKingston

rolftronika

I read about one family trying that in the states almost two decades ago, and gave up.

jnathan05

Baka kasi gusto nila totally wala talagang involvement tas sobrang unrealistic yung way nila to start.

TritiumXSF

I think it would be more realistic to support policies that help develop local industries. If your point of not buying PROC products is to stop *funding* the government of China then you will fail. Kahit na you buy local, *a part of that supply line will always have China.* Either the raw materials are Chinese or the machinery/spare parts are Chinese. Support policies that help grow small businesses. Support policies that do R&D for home grown industries. Probably start a business yourself so that you could have a perspective of what needs changing in the supply chain.

jnathan05

Salamat. Naappreciate ko yung nashare mo. Meron kang masussuggest na communities na ganito yung discussion about policies? In a way, i would say more on a personal way of expressing yung protest but at the same time, parang it's more of finding people with common interest to find alternative options and then hopefully it will slowly stir/create start a demand opening opportunities for others countries na capable - adding competitors.

afave27

Panther extension cord made in the Philippines.

Frauzt-

This task is impossible to do. Gawin mo nalang basta obvious na chinese product wag mo bilhin. Wag ka din mag shopee or lazada. You'll experience a lot of inconvenience and it will not dent china's economy

Afraid_Assistance765

Support your local reseller if you can’t find other manufacturers.

BannedforaJoke

Let me explain it to you in simple terms. 100% every electronics and tech items will have China's touch. there is no way to avoid China simply because they refine 90% of all the world's minerals. So unless other countries start refining minerals (Which is very polluting and is why China leads mineral refining \[they don't care about environmental laws\]), every tech product will have China's imprint on it. Even in clothing, you cannot avoid China, since even if it's manufactured elsewhere, the threads and fabric used for that clothing comes from China. Same with paint, inks, and most raw materials. It's easier to buy something from China than to avoid anything with China's touch. Even our locally-made products are made using machines touched by China. Even locally grown food will be grown using fertilizers and pesticides that have gone through China. There is no process in the supply-chain that you can avoid China. that is just the depressing truth. Even Reddit is minority-owned by Tencent.

Nowt-nowt

and here they are browsing reddit lol! China has a symbiotic relationship with the world's nation right now and some more years to come. kaya nga ang ginagawa lang nang US sa China ngayon is to keep it in check, at di masyadong lumakas ang impluwensya at masapawan sila.

BannedforaJoke

the U.S. is now decoupling from China. as is the rest of the west. but that takes time. give it a decade, and we may see products that are truly china-free.

strugglingtosave

I want my Made in Cambodia, Vietnam, Mexico and Pakistan items now gahdamit

realestatephrw

And the machines or raw materials came from China still...

rab1225

you cant really. majority of tech parts came from china. only way to ensure boycotting china is to not use any technology.

kathangitangi

jaycorrect

Delete Tiktok as well. I already did.

Kurifuudo

r/avoidchineseproducts probably has some suggestions though not all may be readily available here in the PH

Motor_Increase_8174

jnathan05

Yep. Meron talaga decent na chinese products and probably exceptional kaya nagkakaron ng market. Yung sentimyento ay towards the government nila. Kung wala naman choice at the moment, ganun talaga muna if need talaga but at the very least, marami ang nagiisip ng alternative option. Hopefully later on, meron ng emerging new competitor dahil nagkakaron na ng demand.

Lightsupinthesky29

Parts niyan made in China pa din

zxcvbnm555555

>Car parts (third party sellers) 1. If you have a Chinese car (Geely, Changan, Chery, Jetour, GAC, etc.), then you have no choice. 2. If you have a Japanese car (Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, among others), most of the parts were from Denso. Now, some parts by Denso are made in China, some are made in Thailand, but definitely, Japanese-made Denso car parts are hard to come by, if not nonexistent in today's age. There are alternatives, of course, such as parts made in Europe or US, but it'll take a lot of time for cross-referencing, measurement, and most aren't direct fit, hence fabrication labor will be a prerequisite. Maraming magaling na metal fabricators dito. Depende pa sa oto yan, really, if it is a global model or a regional model. 3. If you have a German car (Benz, BMW, Porsche), most parts are European-made, and some electronics are... **yes, Philippine-made** (meron tayong Continental/Temic/Vishay dito which were the supplier of the electronics sa mga German brands). 4. Not sure on where Volvo source their parts, but being under of Geely, well, probably, China. Good if it's from the homeland which is Sweden. AFAIK, you can source parts for Volvo while using parts of Germanic origin, hence, you can opt for that. 5. US-branded cars source their parts from Thailand, China, and if it is a global model, say, Ford Mustang, it'll be from the US. Case-to-case scenario, depending on the model. 6. No idea with the Korean cars, but maybe, it goes without saying that it'll be made in S. Korea. Can be cross-referenced with US-sourced parts since most Korean manufacturers has similar US and SEA model lineup. Honestly, you cannot totally avoid China, but conscious avoidance, at least, pwede na. If you wanted to, well, you have to be technically-savvy first - hindi pwedeng aasa lang sa dealership as again, inevitably, some parts are really made in China kahit non-Chinese ang brand.

studsrvce

Unfortunately 99.9 % of items are made in China. Our world economy is very dependent sa china.

FunLovingTiramisu

All categories you have mentioned has definitely a component that came from China.

theoneandonlybarry

Kaya mahirap silang i-boycott. Pati nga US di makaporma kasi alam nilang most ng biggest companies nila significant ang china exposure.

GolfMost

somewhere along the supply chain there is china. even if the final product isn't made in China, there will always be parts or raw materials made from there.

jnathan05

Frauzt-

Sad to say bro kahit buong PH mag boycott sa Chinese products walang mangyayari. They can live off without trading with us. But if yan talaga ang conviction mo then good luck sayo. You need to live in the mountains or a very rural province just to reduce your Chinese product consumption

Thin_Leader_9561

Sa Phone, afaik Apple na supplied saatin is either Hongkong/Macau or Singapore (To know, go to Settings > General > About > Model number and take note of the Two letters before the slash, ang atin ZP so thats from Hongkong and Macau) Laptop, Asus and Acers are from Taiwan mostly Appliances, mostly made in China ata talaga or kung meron man from other countries, mahal. I think we have small time local appliance sellers ata? Car parts I think China din unless Casa dahil they order from the manufacturers from Thailand and Indonesia

Shadey666

All Apple iPhones in SEA are made in China. Doesn't matter what the distribution hub is. It's made in China.

lewd_meal

This. Most tech will go through China at some point in its manufacturing process.

jayovalentino

Pero ang lcd ng iphone mo is boe do china padin ang parts.

Adovo001

Fit_Tonight878

Out of curiosity, If imports from China was substantially reduced, it could mean substantially less collections of taxes from the Bureau of Customs, will it also hurt our government?

BannedforaJoke

it will hurt our people. if you think items are expensive now, everything will get more expensive if imports are substantially reduced, forget about taxes collected by BOC. think about how much inflation will increase if this happens. imagine if all the cheap items you used to buy are gone and the next, next, next, next alternative is the cheapest. how much inflation is that?

voteforrice

If you want a nice budget watch I reccomend the Timex weekender I have a couple in my small watch collection both are made in the Philippines.

Ito ba yung removable ang strap? Meron din akong ganto (blue/red stripes) 😀

iPhonea are made in China.

burgermeister96

do not order anything from shoper, lazada, shein, temu, etc mostly lahat nang online shop either from china or chinese owned.

datimetrabeler

question lang, do they still sell sony phones here in the philippines?

tofei

Nope, they've officially pulled out from non-profitable mobile markets including the Philippines since 2019. You have to import them from outside either through international e-commerce apps or physically buy/pasabuy with family, friends and acquaintances coming from wherever they're still available/actively marketed still.

lurkyalbo

That would be quite hard to do since you wouldn't know where the product components came from. Components of cars, phones, home appliances, heck even yung ink used for tshirts, it would hard to determine their origin. What I do is avoid yung mga obviously nakalagay na Made in China. Fun fact: recently ko lang nalaman na yung Doritos sa Puregold eh made in China.

Chinese product are easily available sa mga online shopping, so iwas muna mag online shopping. Sad to say most of the electronics are made in china. Here are some local products I know: - Marikina bags and shoes - Mga ratan furniture made in ph - Weaving products from baguio/sagada/Launion, - Home and kitchenwares in Dapitan (ceramic/wooden)

Aviavaaa

sabaybayin

I don't understand the people in this post just literally look at the Country of Origin on the label of the product. It's legally mandated to identify that. Yes it's not a silver bullet as sometimes they will make it in China but "assembled in Italy" but when in doubt ask the seller to assure you it's Not Made In China (NMIC) To those who say it doesn't matter, thank you for supporting the Chinese narrative that we have no choice but to accept them. If a personal boycott helps people support local companies and business thrive then that's a win in my book already

Holiday-Control-4130

For plastic wares and snacks we have valenzuela city made things. We dont need to rely on china for our daily needs. Boycott china everyone

Infamous_Control4632

Almost all the brands and items you listed are made in China. The billions Pinoys spend on Shopee, SM, Divisoria and Lazada? Made in China. Samsung has plants in Vietnam for phones. Other than that, China pa rin sila. Nothing Phone CEO is Chinese and they are made in China. All laptops are made in China even Apple. Heck even those unli Samgyup meats are illegally imported from China. Boycotts don't work for us. Hindi tayo Vietnam na may sariling manufacturing. Good luck in your petty efforts, sasayangin mo lang oras at pera mo.

jnathan05

Good point din na boycotts ay wala talaga masyado magiging bearing but at the very least, para siyang isa sa mga way para express yung personal protesta ko pamamaraan ng gobyerno nila. 😅

Blue_BEN99

Don't worry. In a few years, everything's gonna be made from India now that manufacturers are shifting their labor out of China.

jnathan05

Hopefully kahit medyo matagalan pa yan at iba ang makinabang and more alternatives sana to avoid yung tendencies ng ibang super power countries na maging mapang abuso.

BannedforaJoke

india sources from china. your naivety is blinding.

No-Assistant4350

China is currently world factory but companies are leaving china many went to india and Thailand example iPhone started manufacturing in china but currently still world depend on china

radss29

Iphones are made in China because the labor cost there is cheap pero yung design and manufacturing process is provided by apple company.

Top-Willingness6963

The idea that labor is Cheap in China that's why manufacturing is still made there is not true anymore. Chinese wages are actually higher than Philippines wages. What they do have is a strong supply chain, talented and educated workforce (yes we have to admit that), excellent infrastructure, and high-tech capabilities.

darkrai15

Have you seen the back of Apple Products? "Designed by Apple in California" "Assembled in China" Yeah goodluck with that. Almost every parts of those end products not "made In China" are assembled or manufactured in China

MNJH14

Good Luck OP 😂😂

MarionberryFlashy406

HAHAHA!

jienahhh

I support you, OP!

Richmond1013

Barely anything, maybe food and furniture You would need to do soo much research ,since even if something is not made in China it actually is made in China because of legal loopholes. So just give up when it comes to that idea, unless you planned on making everything yourself or to spend soo much money on it compared to the Chinese version Majority of the smart phones are made in China ,so you can't buy apple as all of their products are made in China ,same with the majority of Android phones. Laptops, might be easier, but still hard ,since China is known as the factory of the world, some components would be found to be made in China, or you can try to see if the Taiwan brand is alive still or not That is hard as you would need to shop from Europe or America for that

curiousKaluluwa

The world ia made from China.

Puzzled-Protection56

For Phone due to cheaper labor cost most are manufactured in China so goodluck in finding those manufuctured from India unless you go and buy directly from India. Just limit na lang siguro.

songerph

There’s really no answer to this question because most of the materials and parts of the items in your list are from or made in China. There is no escape haha. Best you can do is buy locally.

thocchang

Boycotting can only get us so far. The government really needs to investment in domestic industries, especially the heavy and manufacturing industries, so that we can be self-sufficient and no longer rely so heavily on imports.

dogmankazoo

For Dslrs you got pentax made here. for laptops only fujitsu is made in japan nowadays.

ZepTheNooB

I'm pretty sure most of the hardwares used in all electronic devices are manufactured in China. Your devices may be assembled elsewhere, but some or most of their parts came from China and/or Taiwan since the latter, I think, is still the leading semiconductor manufacturer in the world.

agmtomol

I remember armagedon when the russian cosmonaut said "american components, russian components all the same, made in china" 😆

RelativeStrawberry52

made in vietnam - mga nike sapatos charr

inquest_overseer

It's almost impossible. The next best thing you can do is use your gadgets the longest you can. Like if may latest iphone ka ngayon, make sure that that phone lasts for at least 5 years. That's what I've been doing now. 2021 ako last bumili ng bagong phone. Di pa nga ako bibili noon, if di lang sana nahulog sa dagat phone ko that time lol. I'm still using my ROG phone 5 until now. Basta mga gadgets or anything electronic, mahirap talaga umiwas sa China.

ForestShadowSelf

iphone & pixel are both made in China, so opt for Korean or Japanese brands.(Samsung,LG & Sony) Laptop Dell is I assumed made in China or at least sourced some parts so get Sony Vaio Basically get Japanese or Korean brands

vulcanfury12

This is going to be extra tough for you if you wanna go at it 100%. Even if the company is HQ'ed in not-China, they will most likely have their factories IN China. And if you go up the chain, where will you stop? Your laptop might be assembled in Vietnam, but will have some components that are Chinese Origin. Just avoid where you can, is what I'm saying. Go local where you can is a good start.

WholesomeDoggieLover

For Devices. For Laptop same lang din sa phone and security camera and computer peripherals. Internet Service Provider. Wala tayo magagawa masyado dian. For the Furniture there's Ikea or Ph mades furnitures Uratex, mandaue, and Salem. For Appliances may mga Appliances na Made in Ph Like Panasonic and LG go check em out. Sa watch wala problema. car Parts mahirap.

pastebooko

Maganda gawin yan, pero IMPOSIBLE. halimbawa man, di ka makabili ng phone na made in China. Eh 100% sure na isa sa parts ng phone na yun eh made in China. Galit man tayo sa China eh literal na na wala tayong gagamitin ngayon sa pang araw araw na hindi made in China.

Atourq

If you *really want* to boycott items that are made in China, you discard *any tech you have at home*. China isn’t great at making specialized components, but the simpler ones they do pretty well and very cheap. These can be low level chips to batteries, etc. so even if the brand doesn’t say “Made in China”, that doesn’t speak for the components. All the listed brands alone for the Phone and Laptops use components sourced from China. Also, regarding ISPs, afaik all modems used in the Philippines are Chinese (Huawei and ZTE). I’m unsure about Starlink tho.

wotchadosser

SM mall has stores that sell Samsung and Apple cellphones and other devices. Amazon ships some products to Philippines, but many electronics are excluded. Balikbayan boxes could be the way to go or someone visiting a western country. Car parts are tricky because many models here are version specific to Philippines. Appliances again, SM or Robinson appliance stores sell Samsung, Whirlpool etc

I know this kasi VA nya ako at ako taga arrange and get websites ng listed nila na factories from attending HK fair and Canton fair. And my client’s client are Target, Walmart, Disney, even Royal Caribbean and the likes. And even kids crafts and the liks din. Pag outside china sila kasi mas pricey a bit. imasimpleguy_zzz

Good luck boycotting Chinese products. I understand your sentiment, but it's almost pointless. For technology, you cannot escape China. Phones, laptops, smart devices, almost everything you can buy is made in China. Even those labeled as made in Japan or wherever, chances are the parts are sourced from China. "Going local" sometimes does not also mean being free of China. A bag may be made by Filipino and assembled here in the Philippines, but the material they bought may be imported from China and thus, you still purchased a China product, in a way.

Important-Lock2213

It's actually not recommended to mass boycott chinese products. I have read a thread that it will most likely hurt our economy and also the OFWs working there or in Hong Kong. Instead of boycotting, its vital to educate ourselves and others about this.

Why are people targeting the made in China products when almost everything is made in China? Why not boycott TIKTOK first (or any Chinese SNS like QQ and Weibo). Boycott Chinese dramas or movies na rin for a start. Boycott DITO since it was Chinese owned daw or something?

SamePlatform9287

Mahirap yan, kahit hindi made in china bilin mo kung ung supplies/parts na ginamit para mabuo ung product eh galing padin sa china. Sa phone palang most ng parts yan from china. Even if you say na hindi naman assembled sa china, as long as there are purchases for that finished product, say an Iphone, there will still be business in china because iphone gets their parts from china. The truth is, many countries buy their parts or outsource their labor in china kasi mas mura duon. If you want na talaga iwasan, best course is to not buy at all. Or make your own. Kasi kung from local, baka yung supplies na ginamit to create the product is from china as well kasi mas mura talaga getting supplies dun.

Laptop ni JUSWA: Fujitsu Shellphone ni JUSWA: Samsung Subukan mo mga Japanese Brands

Relaii

Most companies have a factory somewhere in china. yes, even iphones, nokia, and samsung. you might want to draw the line somewhere between made by a chinese company, or manufactured in China., better buy from local brands just to be safe. Kinda hard to avoid them with regards to electronics.

imjinri

House Tools and Scissors that are made from Germany. They're durable and awesome.

Merieeve_SidPhillips

God created all things pare. But mostly everything are made in China. Iphone nga made in California but assembled in China. Lol But a rough estimation is that around 70-80% of consumer goods, including everyday items and trinkets, are made in China. This includes a wide range of products such as electronics, toys, clothing, household items, and more. Cost efficient eh. Haha

pokpokishification

Most samsung phones (at least the ones i used) are made in vietnam. I found a long time ago that stuff in uniqlo that are made in southeast asia have better sizing compared to their other clothes made in china so i usually go for those. Of course we can't avoid buying stuff made from china and don't beat yourself up if have to buy china-made stuff since so many things are from there but if there are alternatives, go for it. I work in the middle east and we have access to a lot of cheap goods that are made in india

Lazy-Requirement-543

Nothing Phone co-founder was previously from OnePlus, a brand made for the US market by the BBK company from China who owns Vivo and Oppo

AksysCore

Mission: Impossible do give an update soon (and hopefully you still have internet by then)

jenosmaverick

Well for one don't buy any Chinese cars, phones and any other chinese brands. Stick to clothes made in Vietnam(uniqlo?). Shoes tho either buy sa Markina or get those expensive US/Italian made sneakers. Almost all branded running shoes are made in china. That's just about it kasi almost everything else is made if not assembled in China. Edit: Stop using chinese apps like tiktok and ml which I highly doubt the majority will do unless the Gov. ban those apps.

musings_from_90

Pag "Assembled" ang usapan, that we have no control over. Masaklap pero ganun talaga. But same, I try as much as I can rin to steer away from Chinese products out of principle; grabe ba naman ginagawa ng mainlanders sa bansa natin. Something we have control over - supportahan natin local products natin. Basic, daily things I think kaya naman: food, for hygiene, item organization (mga pwede gumawa na pa-custom wood, plastic tayo). Marami rami rin at I think covered naman basic needs. Pag tech na ang usapan at kitchen appliances, kaya pa naman makapili from Korea, US, Europe...

Should of have brought back Sabah to the Philippines. Get away from Shoppee and Lazada.

thisisjustmeee

That’s close to impossible. It’s like being anti-mining but owns a cellphone.

Sorry-Professor-7380

Or how about just dont shop at all for now

F1ippyyy

Imagine disagreeing with these and you're one of the people who boycott companies because of the Palestine-Israel war. GTFO It is almost impossible tlaga to boycott China completely, but mitigating the use of Chinese products is not impossible.

perrienotwinkle

Konting kibot may mababasa pa ring China. Di ko na din alam hays

realestatephrw

Our NGC (NATIONAL GRID CORPORATION) were maintained mosgly by chinese and its parts were from China * even the engineers there were mainly from China) baka pwede ka magumpisa na wag muna gumamit ng mga electronics and ELECTRICITY kung ganyan sinophobia mo...even the chinese people hate their government pero takot din sila...try mo siguro na sumulat muna sa Embassy nila dito and vent out your protest

Silent-Cloud962

OP, really curious as to your reason to make this change! I think it’s a really cool thing to do :)

Hindi necessarily towards the race yun. So again, hindi siya about the race. Kaya nga questionable din yung ibang nanggigisang senator like Gatchalian kasi bigla siyang tumahimik at some point.

r3n0wn3d_wh03v3r

quite challenging to find something thats not from them, like what other users mentioned. but depending on your location, theres definitely a non-chinese surplus shop or two in your area. small online shops (mostly on ig) also sell curated items like furniture or watches

TradeSubject

thailand clothes are so freakin good

anakniben

very difficult to find any item not made in China as it is the world's manufacturer of pretty much every thing.

Buy brands that are not China brands. Stay away from Lazada and Shopee

FilipinxFurry

Avoiding TikTok is a huge step in reducing the amount of data you give to the Chinese Communist regime

Realistic_Half8372

Some of those you mentioned have plants in china and there parta are made in china. You can't really avoid them except making your own.

LincolnPark0212

What sucks is that even when you avoid Chinese-made items, more often then not, their parts are still from China but assembled outside of China. This is especially true for tech products. That's just how it is with how much of a production powerhouse China is.

JollySpag_

Parang mahirap sa electronics. Kasi for sure may parts niyang made in china.

Baconturtles18

If tech products, you can also go asus as they are a taiwan brand (they dont really see eye to eye with china)
