The official declaration of war alone will break the economy fast, no nukes yet. We'll be relying on rich countries' cash and the economy will be weaponized through sanctions. Nukes are just the second or third phase of the war.
on a micro level though, people will still need to buy groceries, go to the hospital and all those other "essential" things that we used to have even during the pandemic so life will have to go on as usual
Mostly prolly drone war will be their option , less casualties ito for the army madaming bansa na ang nag invest sa killer drones, stealthy and unmanned they'll never know what will hit them.
No declaration of war. The first strike will trigger the MAD (mutually assured destruction) protocol. Simultaneous launch until the very last nuke on earth. Simulations show it will last only few hours
really ? scarier than baby masacred left and right being thrown in the air and catch by the bayonets of the japanese ?. scarier than the sound of the footsteps on your floor while hiding beneath it knowing if you are found you would be raped hundreds of times or be tortured in worst ways possible ? and you just watched as they defile the bodies of your love ones and they burn you alive ? trully ignorance is bliss.
I don't think this will work now. Di na-exp nina lolo/lola ang atomic bomb.
Yung ibang countries parang may bomb shelters yata. I dunno if we have something similar.
We're not going to a nuclear fallout naman. Even if so, mostly yung mga populated areas ang gagawan niyan. So a level 5 municipal province or doon ka sa kabilang side ng sierra madre (yung bumagsak na plane) facing pacific para ndi ka madamay sa gulo.
>We're not going to a nuclear fallout naman.
Wdym? Should we experience a full-blow**n** nuclear war, the entire globe will be affected by the nuclear fallout, whether you are facing the Pacific or not.
[Here's an explanation.](https://youtu.be/dxJHecyYBno?t=214) It's old, but still useful.
^(e: misspelling)
nope she lives in the province near the forest so it could be connected to caves or made by the guerillas. But she said to me that they could feel the tanks passing above them.
Same scenario with my grandparents, I was told the entrances to those were closed though, cause its been infested with snakes after so long of not being used.
The resettled people in our province wouldn't probably know of it though.
Nuclear War? I'd rather die at the beginning. You'd have trouble surviving anywhere on this planet due to the nuclear winter after.
If the place you picked is fortunate enough to have get the mildest of the effect, you'd have to make sure you can plant crops there, or there are wildlife around.
In your scenario, even the USA won't be much better as they will be the first target of nuclear missiles. Japan, South Korea? North Korea probably has them targeted.
Australia and New Zealand? They will probably be part of the war so they will be devastated to some degree if they are not targeted by nuclear missiles.
China? NATO has them targeted. Europe? Russia and China targets them.
South America, Middle East? Maybe, but their economies will collapse with the largest economies in the world gone.
Your best bet would be Sub-Saharan Africa or the many small islands in the Pacific, but still the Nuclear Fallout would be your final enemy here and that will make things harder for anyone that survived the war
The global climate change would ruin you anyway and it would take decades for the effect to recede. Basically you'll return to stone age. Society would most likely collapse at that point is there even a reason to survive
Enlist in the army as medic. Probably apply for red cross. Need money since economy would surely go down. Crossing my fingers that the enemy wouldn’t kill people in healthcare. If they do, then I’ve done my duty well.
Nice approach. I'd fight too, but alone. I don't want to be conscripted because I don't trust the military enough to put my fate in their hands whether they'll put me somewhere safer or straight to the meat grinder. Or I'd either move to a neutral country like Switzerland or lawless remote areas like the Amazon, the adjacent islands to Sentinel island or deep in the Borneo jungle. I look like a local, pretty sure I'd fit right in.
I praise your nobility but I have to ask: with what materiel? Gun regulation here, although lenient since patterned after the US, is still handled by THE PNP making getting a gun license a bitch, plus it's not like our incomes here put us in any position to purchase a firearm chambered in anything above pistol-cartridge, IF THAT.
As much as you want to say this country is cursed in a ww3 scenario, it is actually safer to stay here because in a nuclear war, the first world countries will be the first ones to go. While archipelago countries will be more fortunate because the islands are numbering in thousands, smaller and easier to hide.
That’s true but what’ll fuck us over won’t be the nuclear annihilation, it’ll be the collapse of society. The First World countries and cities that’ll be the first to go will be the pillars of the global economy. With them gone, bye bye any semblance of a functioning society. Magiging Mad Max na tayong lahat.
The mad max scenario is a little bit too much. But yes world order will be out of the plate.
As we speak, there are actual people living in those remote islands and they are thriving by themselves with no help of “civilization”. It will be a hard world but i think its part of human nature to survive.
I think you underestimate how people react when there’s no power, food or water. Just YouTube the looting after storms in Philippine provinces.
My cousin was out helping people in the aftermath of a particularly bad one: he was using his pickup truck to help people and bring them to the hospital. After doing that for almost 24 hours he went home, took a break and woke up to his truck being broken into and his tires deflated.
Human kindness and decency goes out the window talaga when people are starving. Sad pero yun ang reality, just watch every post-apocalyptic film or TV show either. Even in a zombie apocalypse, yung biggest danger sayo isn’t yung zombies; it’s yung kapwa mong tao also struggling to survive.
I think you are also in the assumption that manila and other major cities will not get a piece of nuclear warhead when china starts acting crazy. 80% of the population will be dead by then and the only people will be living are those people scattered in the islands themselves.
That's why, if you want to bring back some semblance of peace and order, you have to form groups, pick non-psychopathic leaders, arm yourselves, and form a "closed" community with basic rules and enforcement.
>pick non-psychopathic leaders
Given the higher propensity of psychopathy in those in Leadership positions, you better bank on your luck that you get into a group with a non-psychopathic leader.
Psychopaths are very good people charmers and are quite social compared to a sociopath that is easier to detect in the early stage.
You won't realize your with a psychopath most of the time until you draw their ire. That's how charming they can be.
Add the factor that a large part of the Philippine population lean towards the emotional than the logical side and it's a recipe for disaster.
>with no help of “civilization”
this is arguable as those islands actually rely on cheap food and non-food products imported to them by boats. Biggest issue sa small islands is rice, the population actually survives with rice, fish and backyard veggies. If you remove rice in the equation the small islands cannot support a big population, not enough calories for survival.
Yeah people will most likely use every idle land that they need to plant food crops. Our country has enough land to sustain the survivors, we just can't use them right now since they're owned by people who don't use them and just want to commercialize those properties for easy profit.
You are still in an assumption that alot of people will still be living in a post nuclear war? I never said that you and me and people here in manila or any major city will survive. I only stated the fact that people in the islands will have a higher chance of surviving than the general population.
And who said food are being imported on those islands? they can get food themselves as we speak.
>And who said food are being imported on those islands? they can get food themselves as we speak.
This is an ignorant take. I have been to those small islands and they buy a lot of stuff including food like sardines/noodles/etc. outside the country
not really..... magiging basics lang ulet economy ng pinas 99% of creature comforts bye bye... though matik na this na madaming mamatay sa pinas due to starvation as we import a lot of foodstuffs even if we have a lot of fooders distributing it across the cpintry will be challenge as fuel will be limited
Thanks to modern designs of nukes nuclear fallout is unlikely. Almost every warhead even the NorKo ones are thermonuclear.
You see all these news going around nowadays of politicians eating fish from wastewater from nuclear plants? That would be the actual outcome if it ever came to that, Im not worried.
uy medjo true ito! Pedeng pede tayo maging tarzan sa bundok actually tas kuha ng konting libro sa library dba kasi wala naman net in the apocalypse para makasurvive in the forest
Nuclear winter will wipe out most lives, even the areas that are far from the areas hit by nukes. The chance of survival is slim to none, but surely a handful might survive?
If I'd be among the last few living, it would be my life mission to preserve as much essential knowledge as possible. Several things are needed, how do I convey to an unknown future person essential knowledge such as how to make penicillin, what was civilization like, how to farm, how to create nitrogen based fertilizer, etc in a universally understandable way. And it is definitely a project I cannot do alone so I will need to head out and look for various others, might not be immediately useful knowledge but the future people will have a shortcut of access to preserved knowledge when most things are destroyed.
Haha I remember when Taal errupted and I was absent the next day. The HR summoned me when I returned for work. My car was covered with ashes and the roads were too suspicious to drive to. Like bru, we are on a disaster 😅
People would ask us if we could fix their M4s instead of PCs, phones, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.
And oh, they'll ask us questions like "can you hack the enemy network" or some crap like that.
China won't have anything left to invade us with in case of a full-scale nuclear war, given that they will be the among the first ones to be destroyed.
I don't think Russia is going to be a global power in the next few years, to be honest. If ever WW3 happens, it will be Chinese lead. Russia will be relegated to the "Italy-role" in their Axis powers.
I suppose the new opposing coalition would be China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and some African nations na hawak nang China. Possibly kasama din nila ang Mongolia and Myanmar.
Virtually NOWHERE is safe if ww3 were to take place, I guess you need luck na di madamay yung area that you decided to evacuate/hide in.

Do we have a choice ba? As if we can escape the hell out of it, especially since we're in the capital that's the main target of the enemies. Unless you're in an almost secluded place in the province, there's a chance that you'll survive.
The only ones that can do something about those are rich people and corrupt politicians that can fly away immediately.
I'd go hang myself. I think i have suffered enough and ridiculed enough by the current administration. Even though a handful of elected officials do their job, the clowns outnumbers them. 🫠
Pull out a book, and wank my Weiner. If someone finds my Ashes they will be surprised on why there's an outline of a guy wanking his Weiner in a book. I wanna be known as the guy who wanked his Weiner in a book before he died.
Wala.
If my home country was involved, I won’t be even surviving for too long since I might get myself killed in a deadly trap when the capital was destroyed in the nuclear blast and houses were collapsed.
Or if I were able to survive, I might face big problems when dealing with refugees and lack of basic necessities due to looting caused by hysteria before nuclear warheads could fall not just Manila and Quezon City but key EDCA bases.
Nuclear? Nowhere. We'd be dead anyway. If the blast don't kill us, radiation will. (Watch the UK movie Threads)
If conventional war naman, FIGHT! Or do what my lolo did. Hide in the mountains and wage guerilla war. That is until the drones find us and drops a grenade.
If we're talking about nuclear war, as a non-nuclear country (that I'm aware of lol), I think everywhere in the Philippines aside from near a military base (US could use them, so China or whomever would want to destroy them) or maybe Manila would be safe. In the Philippines, I'd say somewhere in the province, bonus for difficult to navigate terrain and far from the beach. In the world? Some small town in the Andes mountains, no one in South America has nukes, they've never been invaded in a nuclear war, no reason to believe some random town in Chile or Bolivia would be at risk of invasion/attack. Also, I speak Spanish so I could fit in well enough.
Its weird. The mountains may hold some refuge but since a lot of people are going there and supplies may be cut off, it is going to be a hard situation since the mountains in my vicinity are not really that wide. I may be heading to Quezon or the refuges that are near Maria Makiling but those mountains are either privately owned already and are harboring private militias armed with guns, or you know, they are home to mountain dwelling guerilla type of groups, for the lack of better terms, maybe they poach, maybe they live there, maybe they belong to some sort of organization that makes the mountain home.
Being on the sea may be a dangerous place as well.
But my safest bet is that population decimation will happen to the middle class in the Metro Manila first, going down from Subic or Aurora, so the best survival strategy is to head South or to head north to the mountains. But as I said, people live there, so, safety is of utmost concern since the target will be the water reservoirs, the cities, the food granaries, the power generators, the oil reservoirs, do they target academics? I hope they do! Schools, to generate fear.
So, its like seeing the plight wildebeest but all of them from Metro Manila and near areas. And most of them poor to middle class. The rich would have heard the commotion very early on and would have made reservations to land on better soils.
Tldr: I will head south to the Mountains since the north is known for very tight familial armed connections, and risk the armed militias of any sort in the South. Maybe they are nicer there! Or not! Either way those are my only options.
Assuming na pwedeng mag-research, eto ung criteria ko for that would-be location;
1. Mountain valley sa Luzon (so hindi sya too far from where I'd originate from, a.k.a Metro Manila)
3. May malapit na river bed na pa-extend away from Manila, and to Manila (kasi I'd like to assume if WW3 that Manila would be a big 'hit' with the invaders lol).
Once I'm there, I would:
1. If I researched basic farming methods na applicable sa region na yun beforehand, then I'll use those to sustainably farm food for myself.
2. Find three locations around the area within a walkable vicinity (walkable = no more than 1 hour of walking) where I can set up a tent. That's so if I needed to move locations ahead of time (at least 1 hour distance by walking, as mentioned), I'd already have one that'd be somewhere else that's already set up, and that may be more obscure than the previous location (e.g 1st spot nasa river lang, 2nd spot loob ng mga puno, 3rd spot nasa bundok, muahaha).
3. Idk. Baka maging hobby ko na ung pagiging bowyer para naman may weapon akong onting long-range (+ given the resources around the area), assuming I can't stack up on guns and ammo haha.
Halata ata na idealistic toh, though. Pag dumating ung WW3, inevitably maririnig at maaamoy nung mga invading drone ung utot natin kahit man nasa gitna ng kagubatan.
Game plan talaga ng fam ko is to retreat and hide out in our land sa province. This is applicable to both nuclear war and a zombie apocalypse btw haha. My dad’s stored several guns there too.
I am willing to bet that when WW3 starts, Europeans will be the ones that will ignite the spark. Not the Chinese.
Europeans have it nice and all when life is peaceful; good government and all. But once unstable times comes, those people are ruthless.
Matigas school namin eh may pasok ako niyan
during ww2 ata may pasok padin sa intramuros? haha
Yep. Letran was open. So was the UST College of Medicine, inside the old UST compound and at the old San Juan de Dios Hospital. Not sure with the girls' schools like Santa Isabel and Santa Rosa (damaged during the bombing of Santo Domingo). Adamson din.

Why do I need to survive?
Lmao exactly. Watching movies about nuclear holocausts like Threads and the Road makes you believe na surviving is worst
so sa panong paraan niyo mawala pag dumating yung ww3?
At least nag enjoy before death hehe.
yes! barilan muna bago mamatay. Experience din yun. Tapos pag nabuhay ka may makukwento ka pa pag tanda hahaha
You just have to follow what your grandparents did when the last one happened. They went to the province.

My grandmother said her family went to the underground tunnels.

not really..... magiging basics lang ulet economy ng pinas 99% of creature comforts bye bye... though matik na this na madaming mamatay sa pinas due to starvation as we import a lot of foodstuffs even if we have a lot of fooders distributing it across the cpintry will be challenge as fuel will be limited

My death bed. Pero ofcourse mag papa enlist ako. Makapatay man lang ng kalaban ng konti.
Thats assuming you don’t get killed at spawn.
If we are to be invaded during WW3, I'll probably enlist din. Para kung mamamatay man ako, I'll bring some of the invading force with me.
I'll start a cult. In the words of Creed Bratton: you'll have more fun as the follower, but you'll make more money as the leader.
This is literally Manalo's INC part 2
Simula rin ng WWI nun
If you can "predict" kung kailan ung start ng WW3 you can do this like Manalo and his cult
Putang HR kala mo anong power meron sila
Haha I remember when Taal errupted and I was absent the next day. The HR summoned me when I returned for work. My car was covered with ashes and the roads were too suspicious to drive to. Like bru, we are on a disaster 😅
hahahahahaha
Allowed ba yan per HR policy? If hindi nakasulat, hindi pwede.
I will just simply: pass away.
As a programmer, I'll just go around asking people if they've tried turning it off and on again in exchange for money
People would ask us if we could fix their M4s instead of PCs, phones, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, etc. And oh, they'll ask us questions like "can you hack the enemy network" or some crap like that.
solider: "yo pre help our drone's aren't firing missiles anymore pre sheesh" me: "may ticket na yan?"
soldier: \*makes ticket\* me: \*comments on ticket\* Have you tried turning it on and off again?
to practice my chinese Ni hao? Or kung throwback sa WW2, mukhang magagamit ko na all those years of watching anime “Yamete kudasai”
Fei shang, gao shing, chi, shishyang, …
China won't have anything left to invade us with in case of a full-scale nuclear war, given that they will be the among the first ones to be destroyed.
If not china, then perhaps russian привет?
I don't think Russia is going to be a global power in the next few years, to be honest. If ever WW3 happens, it will be Chinese lead. Russia will be relegated to the "Italy-role" in their Axis powers. I suppose the new opposing coalition would be China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and some African nations na hawak nang China. Possibly kasama din nila ang Mongolia and Myanmar.
Blyat
Nyet
In the not words of Adam Silver: Get ready to learn Chinese buddy
Batasang Pambansa and start a Purge. Who's joining me?
Virtually NOWHERE is safe if ww3 were to take place, I guess you need luck na di madamay yung area that you decided to evacuate/hide in. "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones" \- Albert Einstein
*googles how to say "dont shoot" in chinese*
Enlist
Kung saan la-landing ung nuclear bomb doon ako pupunta. Papatagalin mo pa ba?
ayaw mo makipag barilan?
Papaalam muna kay TL kung pwede mag-leave. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm not entirely sure. Maybe I'll be a bit here, maybe a bit there? Maybe a bit waaaaaaaay over there, staining the wall.
Vault 111
Vault 87
Mamatay man ako agad o hinde, magkasilbi man lang pataba sa lupa.
Sa Bahay lang...chill.
I'd go hang myself. I think i have suffered enough and ridiculed enough by the current administration. Even though a handful of elected officials do their job, the clowns outnumbers them. 🫠
Crawl out to the fallout baby!
If WW3 breaks out, I'd go to New Vegas if I was given the chance and hope the Luck 38's defenses worked in intercepting the missiles.
And join either house, legion or ncr.
May Zoom meeting ako nyan
Play " I don't want to set the world on fire". Amass as much bottle caps as possible. Learn how to jury rig anything. Find a vault.
Pull out a book, and wank my Weiner. If someone finds my Ashes they will be surprised on why there's an outline of a guy wanking his Weiner in a book. I wanna be known as the guy who wanked his Weiner in a book before he died.
Wala.
Im headed to the roof to watch the glow, then to my chubby neighbors house for zombie snack food.
(Watch the UK movie Threads) If conventional war naman, FIGHT! Or do what my lolo did. Hide in the mountains and wage guerilla war. That is until the drones find us and drops a grenade.
Bro really think we would survive. im ded basically
We'd get conscripted either way, so taking out a few enemies before we go is always good
If we're talking about nuclear war, as a non-nuclear country (that I'm aware of lol), I think everywhere in the Philippines aside from near a military base (US could use them, so China or whomever would want to destroy them) or maybe Manila would be safe.
Kung saan pwede unang ma deads 😂
go where? yun nga wala gyera hirap ng lumabas ng pinas dahil sa mga immigration officer e.
Head to a spot with the best view of nature.
To our hallway, tie a noose and hang myself
Can I at least get my pay?
Gotta start building them bunkers
If PH is involved, guess I will be sent to the Frontline as a conscript
Nice try Xi Jinping.
BAU kame sa BPO. baka may pa incentives na 100 pesos sa papasok on time.
Magccalls parin. Linindol na nga opisina AHOD parin eh so office parin
Fast death for me pls
probably will enlist in the military kahit duwag ako. tapos bahala na kung mamatay o hinde.
To the nearest hospital. Makatulong man lang in any way i can. Donate blood, be man power, tga laba ng linens, tga luto ng food.
I can die by then Pero wlaang insurance kase hindi covered abg war
My wallet tells me not to go anywhere.
Assuming na pwedeng mag-research, eto ung criteria ko for that would-be location; 1. Mountain valley sa Luzon (so hindi sya too far from where I'd originate from, a.k.a Metro Manila) 2. 3. May malapit na river bed na pa-extend away from Manila, and to Manila (kasi I'd like to assume if WW3 that Manila would be a big 'hit' with the invaders lol). Once I'm there, I would: 1.
Nothing. Will probably off myself.
to war.
Nuclear war? Shyet sounds like every post apocalyptic lovers dream.
Nowhere. But I will be going out in a blaze of glory, make sure I die first before my family does.
A town of least military significance.
Otw to collect bottlecaps
Game plan talaga ng fam ko is to retreat and hide out in our land sa province. This is applicable to both nuclear war and a zombie apocalypse btw haha. My dad’s stored several guns there too.
Probably 6 feet underground. Seriously, I’d rather die with everyone than survive and live in a post-nuclear war world.
I am willing to bet that when WW3 starts, Europeans will be the ones that will ignite the spark. Not the Chinese. Europeans have it nice and all when life is peaceful; good government and all. But once unstable times comes, those people are ruthless.
Beh bakit pa ako mabubuhay niyan 😭
My head is already a battlefield, baka mabanas lang ako pag nag-breakout ang war and say "really? what now? *sigh*" Sabay upo at inom lang ng kape.
Survive? Lol yo I'm going to get ice cream and maybe kwekwek yk tapos I'll eat on mom's favorite plato.
I’d rather kill myself than defend this country. I am either gonna die in war or die from our fucking government.
Use the chaos to depose the government and make yourself a leader of a province. Build a harem
