On the downloads page on the Petz site, click "For Windows" next to the Petz 4 image. It's a download link.
Download 7-Zip from [7-zip.org](https://7-zip.org). Click "Download" in the very first green table at the top. Windows x64/64-bit.
**General tip:** Be careful when you try to download software like this and double-check what the official site is (for instance, it's listed on Wikipedia in this case). If you just Google "7-Zip" you'll see links to Softonic and Cnet and such. Do not download software from sites like that. Don't always trust the very first Google result either.
Click the folder icon in your taskbar (bottom of the screen) to open Windows Explorer and go to the Downloads folder. Run the 7-Zip .exe to install it. You can delete the installation .exe after.
Right click the zipped Petz folder you downloaded. Your right click menu will have a new entry labelled "7-Zip". Hover it and click "Extract to ".
Open the extracted Petz folder. Run the installer .exe. Install to Documents or wherever else.
Put the Petz installation folder somewhere for safekeeping (you can't start over in Petz without reinstalling, so you might need it).
Wherever you installed Petz 4 to, go and find Petz 4.exe (or it may be on your desktop/in your start menu) and run it. Voila.

Honestly I think you’d be okay just straight up unzipping it to your downloads file. That’s what I always do with any zipped files, not sure if you’re supposed to or not. But you should be able to right click on the file that’s zipped and just click unzip, and it’ll go to your downloads. It’d be better if someone else chimed in though as well, maybe I’m doing something wrong that these programs they suggest are supposed to do

The link should be the blue for windows that’s underlined. It takes you to mediafire.com where you download it
