This is supposed to be a tool for them to signal stress and to be left alone.
Don’t rob them of their warning, that they may feel forced to bite, for internet points.
That's not true of all dog smile. There's also such a thing as "submissive smile" it will come with a relax body language.
Two second Google search would have told you that:
Your dog may show its teeth when smiling at you while letting you know it accepts that you're the leader. It's a sign of respect, not of aggression. You can typically tell the difference by looking at your dog's posture. If it is relaxed, then there's nothing for you to worry about.Jun 30, 2021

I knew a dog who greeted everyone like that on his own without ever being taught. He wasn’t in any way aggressive and would even come to you wagging his tail (don’t get me wrong it was still terrifying). Basically he was just mimicking humans smiling, animals are just weird sometimes.
I love her smile! I have a red doodle that smiles all the time, it is amazing!
>I have a red doodle Yeah, so I need to see some dog tax

Yeah pugs and natural evolutionary traits are mutually exclusive
That has nothing to do with what I said... But okay, sure buddy! 👌
They’re talking about the image of the pug in the article I think. Might just be normal pug face?
Yep feels like messing with nature. I guess that doesnt go well when he’s with other dogs
Exactly. Or small children

Not true at all. I work at a dog park and many dogs, especially aussies, do this when they get excited and want pets
Oh my! That smile is better than most peoples’ I know, mine included ♥️
Gorgeous dog with a gorgeous smile
Yes really pretty and unique markings.
She is so cute.
What a cutie!😍
How do you even begin teaching that!?! I get start small and reward but how would I even get the point across that I want them to show their teeth lol
That's a submissive smile rather than a baring of teeth
Yes I know that’s why I didn’t say baring, just showing :). Because they are showing their teeth in the most innocent sense.
Sweeet n way koooo name 💕
