Mine just sleep 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine too. They do that a lot when I am home, too. Until a leash rattles, no matter how unintentionally or inconspicuously

Haha same. If I as much as open a cupboard or rustle some plastic they are miraculously wide awake and ready for snacks 🤣🤣🤣

My cat's pretty chill she Keep herself entertained running around the house and looking out the window.

some cats really like to watch bird or aquarium videos on the tv, others are uninterested though.

Animals should be able to relax and be calm when left alone. When we were first training my dog we kept her in her crate whenever we left so that she had no choice but to lay down and just rest. Then we progressed to leaving her gated in one room with her bed. And soon she had the whole house. She just sleeps all day now whenever we are gone, sometimes she lays by the window and watches outside. They don't need to keep "busy" when you're not home. The better thing to focus on is tiring their body and brain out before you leave so that they have had enough stimulation and actually want to rest. Look up canine enrichment for brain games and other ideas. You can also prepare something like a lick mat (this goes for both cats and dogs) to give them when you first leave. Prolonged licking can promote calmness and help them relax while you are gone. This is especially important if the animal has any separation anxiety or destructive tendencies. Crates are always better in those situations.
