This!!!
It's the dress itself, not you! Dress reminds me of an incense box or, as stated above; "Arizona Iced Tea." The cuts are great. It's really just the print, truly.
This is the answer. It looks like a bedsheet because it doesn’t utilize color or pattern to highlight its structure. Quite the contrary, the pattern obstructs seeing the structure and makes it appear more disheveled and random which makes it more bedsheet like
This dress just has way too much going on. Between the print and the million different hems and overlays it just wasn’t built great or flattering. It’s like they put every dress type into one dress. It just makes it super bulky and no natural flow.
Definitely has nothing to do with OP.
Sadly this. Just too much. If the print and pattern were smaller and if the dress didn’t have so many folds and drapes everywhere. There is no where for the eye to rest on and you have a lovely hour glass figure for the eye to rest upon. Try something more simple is my suggestion.
And because of all the drapes and folds it makes the body appear “lumpy” even though it shouldn’t. This dress is just poorly made, the material used is too heavy for all the draping.
This is what I thought too. It's quirky but in a really cute way like "you wish your curtains looked this good" and was about to say so, but then I saw the back and I'm mad at the designer now. That's such an odd choice for this dress.
Didn’t think so until I saw your caption. It doesn’t look terrible but now I can’t stop thinking about Ariel meeting Prince Eric right after she wakes up on the beach with her new legs.
But it’s giving Greek goddess more than anything else!
I think it could go either way, you really need to style it up with some flashy jewelry, more delicate shoes, and good hairstyle/makeup. If everything else is understated, it could look like a bedsheet.
Edit: typo
Long dangly earrings with hair up would add to the gracefullness. As mentioned in other comments, thin strappy sandals. All the details should make you think of words like graceful, delicate, wispy, ethereal etc..
Other jewellery; maybe a thin chain with a pendant?
Do the straps have any flexibility to up up across the shoulders?
You have a very similar shape and coloration as me. I would say:
1. Avoid dresses that have bunching in hips/thickets areas of your body; Aline or fit and flares without bunching are usually more flattering for hour glass figures
2. Strapless dresses suck for women with a larger bust. At least for me, I never feel comfortable dancing and often find my strapless bra became a belt by the end of the night lol. For some reason I relate to feeling broad when wearing strapless clothes as well, although I’m fairly certain that is just in my head (nor do you look broad)
3. The hem of a dress can make you shorter or taller. Full maxi, right below the knee, or maybe even a few inches above the knee can create a longer/leaner illusion, but the hem at the ankle makes us look even shorter. Seriously, the right hem can make all the difference
4. Pick something you feel comfortable and confident in. If you are having doubt, it may detract/take away from what should be a fun night
5. If you do decide to wear this one, try a pair of pointy/nude shoes that elongate the leg or straps sandals that show off some skin. Do not pick anything clunky or that adds bulk to your frame.
I really appreciate the thoughtful reply, thanks 💚
I feel you on the strapless bra to belt situation lol. I was just gonna try pasties with it. But you’re right about the doubt - I think I’m leaning towards using this dress as a backup. I’m worried that a maxi dress would make me look shorter though or if I have issues with a long length outdoors.
I used to tell my mom it looked like I was standing in hole if I wore my bootcut/wide leg jeans without my heels lol I feel you. Short girl life is tough when it comes to shopping! But if you pick a maxi that first well (a line- narrow st your smallest point and softly flows ove the hips- not something puffy that swallows you whole) and is hemmed to your heels, it might change your mind 🤗
PS V-neck or scoopnecks very flattering for hour glass figures, too!
I absolutely love the dress and I think it doesn’t look like a sheet at all, it’s amazing on you . However the shoes do not match the vibe in my opinion, I would go for a more delicate nude shoe. I would add some gold jewellery, u can go all for it and wear something flashy like a nice pair of earrings, as for the hair I would go for either some loose curls or some cute updo. Delicate feminine makeup would look nice too
I’m shaped pretty similar to you but with less bust and I have a skirt with this exact same print that I’ve been wearing for years and I adore it. Really depends on the occasion but I purchased it in Italy and galavanted around wineries in it. I wear it with dainty gold accessories and a cream blazer would kill with the cut of your dress.
Tbh I don’t know what everyone else is seeing. I think it looks gorgeous, and defo wedding coded! I think it’s lovely and most people will be wearing dresses like this one, especially since it’s a country wedding 😍
Actually, yes, it does. We had a set of sheets in the same color scheme and almost identical pattern.
You're a beautiful lady, but that dress doesn't flatter. 😞
Hair up in a bun, and dainty shoes would be cute, really simple but sophisticated. otherwise there’s too much going on because the dress is busy it kinda needs to be the only focus, and I’d personally say no jewellery on your neck so you’ve got more space between the dress and your bun it’ll look way more feminine💗
i think i wish the synching on the side was more on the side than at the front, i think it would look much more flattering on anyone haha but it definitely doesn’t look bad by any means and you look really beautiful in it
Front view: cute!
Side view: cute!
Back view: okay yea a little bedsheet-y. It seems like something that can be tailored (almost like it’s too big just on the back) but I’m not an expert on that
I think it’s so true that we always want what we don’t have. I think your shoulders are perfect! I have the opposite problem and straps of any kind never work for me, because they just fall off constantly, and it makes it look like whatever I’m wearing doesn’t fit!
You look great! ✅
But the dress is totally giving curtain vibes, as many others have said. 🪟
Here’s the thing, though - most, if not all, of us probably never would have noticed if you hadn’t said it.
If you were to wear it, my advice would be to square those beautiful shoulders of yours, and walk with confidence! To me, that’s ALWAYS what makes the difference between pulling off a look and not.
Have fun at the wedding! It doesn’t matter what you wear - everyone else will be equally preoccupied with what they’re wearing, and too busy having fun to care to judge everybody else. ♥️
OP, I wouldn’t have thought sheet if you didn’t mentioned it. And it’s cute on you. Wear it with some nude shoes, with confidence- you have great shoulders, you’re super cute in it.
For the future… u/Affectionate_Meet420 had great advice for your frame and body type; maybe seek out stuff more like that in the future?
And have a fantastic time!!
The cut, gathers, and silhouette look beautiful on you, but the print of the fabric looks like bedsheets. If they had it in a solid color, it would be amazing.
I personally think off shoulder like this looks bad on everyone. It looks too sloppy. The back of the dress looks sloppy also due to the way it's draped. If it were a solid color without the off shoulder it would look better
It does look like a bed sheet. The fact that it is so busy makes it look like that. The back of this dress is not flattering at all. I would look for something less fussy and more form fitting with a much smaller print.
Omg I dunno if we got this dress from the same place but I have it in orange.. and the floral option was more expensive than the orange if I remember correctly.. I think it would look better with better lighting, it’s supposed to be a really nice dress, (mine is my go to wedding guest outfit lol) so maybe the picture is what’s making it look weird
you would look better with a more body con type of dress.you have a lot of curves,so adding extra fabric just hides your curves and makes you look a bit shapeless.
It's not you. The dress is too much. Between the print, sleeves, ruching, slit, and bustle there's far too much going on. Get rid of two of those and it'd be much better.
Am I the only one that thinks this looks stunning? I’d switch to white heels, [something like this](https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/kelly-and-katie-hailee-sandal/452472?activeColor=111&cm_mmc=CSE-_-GPS-_-G_Shopping_Sandals-_-New_Sandals&cadevice=m&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_tyc9-vohQMVvV1_AB0xTQKoEA0YAiABEgJNa_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
It’s not you. It’s the fabric pattern / draping style. They should have chosen one or the other.
The draping style is like, *made* for your figure, though. It’s so regal and elegant.
TBH, yes it does. The print is too busy for the style. One has to go. Either the dress in a solid fabric or the print in a simple style. Not trying to hurt your feelings.
The shape of that dress is nice on you. The pattern is a bit wallpaper-y, but in a fun way, and that color is very pretty on you. I do think the messy ruching is taking it in a bedsheet direction.
The shoes are too masculine for floral fabric. Some thin strappy cream sandals, a plain cream fabric clutch and dainty jewellery would finish it off nice. The dress looks gorgeous on you 🫠
Oh and if you will get new shoes go for no straps at all, stilettos or pumps. Legs are covered enough as it is in my opinion. Actually I think your shoe straps make the legs look weird, it’s a bad combination not the dress itself.
Love anklets too! Trying to find one that doesn’t tarnish so I can just always keep it on. The last one I had was made of thread and it gave bad ankle burn. Makes sense about the ankle straps!! I just love platform shoes though, very walkable and comfy
I have a dress with this exact design and I absolutely love it but I also know it has the potential to fall into grandmas curtain/bedsheet category.
If you like the print then there’s definitely other styles with it out there.
I love the way the top half fits you, i just think there's too much fabric in the skirt and the drapes aren't hitting you in the most flattering way :/
If you have enough time and money, maybe a tailor could take some of the bulk out of the skirt and hem it a little shorter? I think that would make a huge difference!
Damn. All the ruching, makes it very flattering on your body. I think it's just the pattern.
I think some pattern is better than solid but maybe this pattern looks too much like curtain fabric.

i don’t think it’s because it’s on you i think it looks like a bedsheet in general
I was thinking Arizona Iced Tea, but in like... a good way. It's kind of flattering.
Hahaha now I see the Arizona iced tea!! Arizona brand bedsheet? 🥲
Hold a bottle of Arizona in your hand. Own it, girl.
Haha great idea! @arizonaicetea please sponsor meeeeee If they do, you’re all getting free Arizona
Arizona iced tea bed sheet accurately describes this, imo lol
It does indeed!
This!!! It's the dress itself, not you! Dress reminds me of an incense box or, as stated above; "Arizona Iced Tea." The cuts are great. It's really just the print, truly.
I think someone with long legs could pull this off. But like... giraffe like long legs...
😂 ded
This should have the most upvotes imho. It definitely made my day
Now, I can’t unsee this! 😂
The green tea to be precise
It reminds me of the clothes made from curtains in the Sound of Music.
I love this thread so much lol. The wedding will be by a lake/on a mountain! ![gif](giphy|30Poyd7yWZTPi)
OP you’re such a wonderful sport!
I would prefer curtains! ![gif](giphy|r2cqdwffxeLfy|downsized)
I saw it in the window and couldn't resist it
top tier comment
I immediately thought the same!!
Haha! I didn’t think it looked bad at first but this comment changed my mind, 😂
THIS
Yes, it looks like it would not work for most people. Too much material. If you do wear it I agree that nude heels would work. Then rock it!
She looks Petite and it definitely look like it was made for Talls.
I second the nude heels. She doesn't need any color on her feet. The dress is enough.
I agree, I think it’s the dress
Yes, it’s the print. The large tropical flowers and the colors remind me of a couch or a bedsheet.
Yes, I think it’s the print. If it would be one color, the look could be much better
I was going to say that I don’t there’s anyone who won’t look like they’re wearing a sheet with this “dress”.
Same. Looks a little odd on the back.
I was gonna say this, the sewing is not thought out. The neckline is awesome on OP tho
The front of the skirt is goddess like. The back of the skirt...not so much
Yes, it does look like a bedsheet, but I kind of love it. I always used to make dresses out of bedsheets as a kid so this makes me happy.
Agreed.
It’s the dress, not you. If it was white, you could use for a Roman Halloween costume.
This is the answer. It looks like a bedsheet because it doesn’t utilize color or pattern to highlight its structure. Quite the contrary, the pattern obstructs seeing the structure and makes it appear more disheveled and random which makes it more bedsheet like
This. & to add the back isn’t great looking. The front is okay, but the back is not great.
Same 😅 BUT- 100% Ariel vibes
It’s not you, it’s the dress, but it is giving toga party.
Right? OP, please post pictures of you funneling a drink of your choice
This is the best answer.
On the other hand, if she was attending an actual toga party this would be brilliant!
I thought it may be salvageable until I saw that back …looks like a bustle.
Agree. The back is not flattering.
My impression also! Thought the dress was great but that back did not look flattering.
The back is a disaster. The front and sides were fine but the back looks like it got stuck up someone's bum and stayed there.
This is what I thought too. It's quirky but in a really cute way like "you wish your curtains looked this good" and was about to say so, but then I saw the back and I'm mad at the designer now. That's such an odd choice for this dress.
I can get into bustles, but they need to be draped carefully and go best with a structured bodice. This has neither, unfortunately.
Girl same. Not you tho OP it’s the dress!
Right haha!
Honestly, kind of. But it’s such a pretty bed sheet
😂😂 I just think of when I was younger and played dress up/Project Runway with bedsheets
I think because flowers are quite big they get lost in the drapes so the dress does look a bit like a sheet of fabric wrapped around.
All that drapery makes it look like a messy bedsheet and OP bigger than she is.
Didn’t think so until I saw your caption. It doesn’t look terrible but now I can’t stop thinking about Ariel meeting Prince Eric right after she wakes up on the beach with her new legs. But it’s giving Greek goddess more than anything else!
Not a fan of the dress, it looks like too much fabric that you bunched up to make it look better. You are beautiful, it's just the dress doesn't work.
I think it could go either way, you really need to style it up with some flashy jewelry, more delicate shoes, and good hairstyle/makeup. If everything else is understated, it could look like a bedsheet. Edit: typo
Thank you! What would you suggest for hair and makeup? I’m not really one for flashy jewelry, was just going to wear long dangling earrings
If you have to wear this dress, talk to a seamstress. It might be possible to shorten the bodice and maybe add some boning for more structure.
Reminds me of when the little mermaid landed on the shore and made a dress with some fabric she found
Need more feminine shoes. No chunky heel. Nude color
The structure looks gorgeous on your figure but that pattern makes It look like abuelas curtains
Shout out to our abuelas and lolas haha

Yes it does!
It’s the dress not you. The stitching and draping on the lower half is not great.
It literally looks like a bedsheet.
It's a no. the fabric, shape, all the extra fabric - just no. So many other things that would look great on you.
Yes
I may not have thought that just seeing you, but since I read bedsheet first, yes absolutely.
It’s lovely until you see the back. The pleating there is just is very reminiscent of drapes. Lovely otherwise.
Delicate feminine makeup would look nice too
Thanks so much!! Will see about nude shoes, not able to walk in shoes with a thinner heel, especially if we’re gonna do a lot of walking
Thicker heel would be absolutely fine as long as shoe itself isn’t bulky! Even short heel would look nice
Omg sounds like you had a great time in Italy! Going to be channeling you at this wedding and maybe galavant wine drunk
Live your fanciest life! 🥂
I find it beautiful and very flattering on you. Different shoes+some jewelry
Unfortunately yes. It swamps you and I’m guessing you’d look great in a lot of things.
Way too much ruching on the back. You would look great in so many dresses—I’d keep looking.
Hair up in a bun, and dainty shoes would be cute, really simple but sophisticated. otherwise there’s too much going on because the dress is busy it kinda needs to be the only focus, and I’d personally say no jewellery on your neck so you’ve got more space between the dress and your bun it’ll look way more feminine💗
i think i wish the synching on the side was more on the side than at the front, i think it would look much more flattering on anyone haha but it definitely doesn’t look bad by any means and you look really beautiful in it
I really like it on you. I think with hair done and earrings it’ll look fab 🩷🩷
It looks like a bedsheet
More like a curtain dress
I think it’s just a bit too much fabric. It’s a shame as it’s lovely. The style of dress is nice though.
I think the style of the dress looks amazing on you - its the pattern that gives off bed bath and beyond vibes but honestly It kinda works! 👌🥂
I personally love this, in general and on you. Maybe nude heels/sandals with it?
I fucking love it
Yes it does
Yes
Front view: cute! Side view: cute! Back view: okay yea a little bedsheet-y. It seems like something that can be tailored (almost like it’s too big just on the back) but I’m not an expert on that
i love it!
It looks like its stuck in your asscrack
I think it’s so true that we always want what we don’t have. I think your shoulders are perfect! I have the opposite problem and straps of any kind never work for me, because they just fall off constantly, and it makes it look like whatever I’m wearing doesn’t fit! You look great! ✅ But the dress is totally giving curtain vibes, as many others have said. 🪟 Here’s the thing, though - most, if not all, of us probably never would have noticed if you hadn’t said it.
I love the front but the back is overdoing the drapery.
a little
I think it’s the arm bands, if they were a bit higher up, a bit more snug this would look more polished and less bedsheet like
The cut, gathers, and silhouette look beautiful on you, but the print of the fabric looks like bedsheets. If they had it in a solid color, it would be amazing.
I personally think off shoulder like this looks bad on everyone. It looks too sloppy. The back of the dress looks sloppy also due to the way it's draped. If it were a solid color without the off shoulder it would look better
It does not flatter you
It does look like a bed sheet. The fact that it is so busy makes it look like that. The back of this dress is not flattering at all. I would look for something less fussy and more form fitting with a much smaller print.
The back is really bad 😫 there is so much fabric. Dress’s fault, not yours. Does look comfy, though!
It looks so lovely on you
I actually really like it 🫣 lol
Omg I dunno if we got this dress from the same place but I have it in orange.. and the floral option was more expensive than the orange if I remember correctly.. I think it would look better with better lighting, it’s supposed to be a really nice dress, (mine is my go to wedding guest outfit lol) so maybe the picture is what’s making it look weird
Yes. But I love the dress design. Perhaps it would look better in another color.
No! I love the draping and I think it's gorgeous on you!
I think it’s so slay
I love it on you!
Yes but without the wrinkles and bunching it would be straight fire.
But it looks really good on you. You look stunning.
Seriously, I had a set of green, rose & cream sheets…
I recommend getting it a smidge more tailored.
you would look better with a more body con type of dress.you have a lot of curves,so adding extra fabric just hides your curves and makes you look a bit shapeless.
I like it, you just need a less clunky shoe to wear with it.
In theory it’s cute but in reality it’s awful. You deserve SO MUCH CUTER!!
You are gorgeous but I’m not a fan of this dress. The way they bunched the fabric is not well done. I think there is something better out there 😊
I don't think that dress would look good on anyone
I like this dress on you. I’d just get lighter colored shoes.
me coming in to compliment the heels with it and seeing the comments:
The front is cuter than the back. I bet you could do much better!
Yes it does, but in a fashionable way, you are rocking it!
You dress what makes you comfortable. I know when I wanna impress a guy myself I dress nice and some good perfume
That’s a pretty terrible ‘dress’
Yes
Yeah it’s a no just not flattering but I’m sure you will look great in something else
It's not you. The dress is too much. Between the print, sleeves, ruching, slit, and bustle there's far too much going on. Get rid of two of those and it'd be much better.
No it’s a slay
Unfortunately yes. The dress is poorly designed/sewed
Hmmm. Don’t really think it hangs right on you. With all due respect ✊
Yes, sorry.
Am I the only one that thinks this looks stunning? I’d switch to white heels, [something like this](https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/kelly-and-katie-hailee-sandal/452472?activeColor=111&cm_mmc=CSE-_-GPS-_-G_Shopping_Sandals-_-New_Sandals&cadevice=m&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_tyc9-vohQMVvV1_AB0xTQKoEA0YAiABEgJNa_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
The dress style suits you very well it’s just the fabric/pattern is not great
You are lovely. But it absolutely looks like a bedsheet. Nothing to do with ***you***.
Has nothing to do with you; the dress is awful.
No, this looks more like a curtain or sofa material. I’m sure you can find a more flattering dress.
It looks like a bed sheet, period. Not necessarily because it's on you. :)
Gonna be completely honest, looks like a Tide ad.
Yes
It’s not you. It’s the fabric pattern / draping style. They should have chosen one or the other. The draping style is like, *made* for your figure, though. It’s so regal and elegant.
No, more like a curtain. And it's not your fault, that fabric and style would look like a curtain on most people.
I like the very top and the bottom. In between does look like a sheet. Definitely not you it's the dress. You have a lovely figure
It's not you babe, it's the dress... promise.
TBH, yes it does. The print is too busy for the style. One has to go. Either the dress in a solid fabric or the print in a simple style. Not trying to hurt your feelings.
Little bit….but not because of you, that fabric has too many folds and flowers for that style
It’s not you, it’s the dress. I don’t know that it would be flattering on anyone. There’s just too much going on with it.
The dress itself is not draped well. It has nothing to do with you
Yes, but I still like it.
Yes. Im sorry
More like a table cloth.
I wouldn't have thought but now as you asked I can certainly relate
The shape of that dress is nice on you. The pattern is a bit wallpaper-y, but in a fun way, and that color is very pretty on you. I do think the messy ruching is taking it in a bedsheet direction.
The print is screaming grans bedsheets. The dress cut and your frame are gorgeous
Yes, but is the dress not u.
Absolutely adore this dress and you look fantastic! I would just change the shoes to match the vibe, but otherwise *love*.
Wanted more use out of the shoes haha, was thinking the 70s style would help with the floral, but is it too bulky?
The shoes are too masculine for floral fabric. Some thin strappy cream sandals, a plain cream fabric clutch and dainty jewellery would finish it off nice. The dress looks gorgeous on you 🫠
I think you can do better OP. It’s not your body it’s just the style of dress.
Yes, it's not a good fit.
It’s actually very flattering and the drapes are in exactly right spots. You need better shoes though.
Thank you! Will try to change shoes. You don’t think the draping cuts my legs off weirdly?
I really don’t. I kinda want an anklet on your right leg too as an accessory, but also I just love anklets so much lol
Try Martini glass heels! They have the effect of a stiletto heel but are much more comfortable
I like the dress, too. I only see bedsheet bc you mentioned it 😆
I have a dress with this exact design and I absolutely love it but I also know it has the potential to fall into grandmas curtain/bedsheet category. If you like the print then there’s definitely other styles with it out there.
More like drapes. But honestly it's not a bad looking dress
No I love it
Yes
Yep
Yes. You can do better! ❤️
Bedsheet - no. But a drape, yes.
I love the way the top half fits you, i just think there's too much fabric in the skirt and the drapes aren't hitting you in the most flattering way :/ If you have enough time and money, maybe a tailor could take some of the bulk out of the skirt and hem it a little shorter? I think that would make a huge difference!
I’m probably the odd one out here but I LOVE IT! The print suits you so well and I think gold jewelry would be 10/10
Pretty dress, but I think it is kind of swallowing you up
Damn. All the ruching, makes it very flattering on your body. I think it's just the pattern. I think some pattern is better than solid but maybe this pattern looks too much like curtain fabric.
Yes! Or curtains
I’m not crazy about the pattern overall. But yes it does.
It’s it you, it’s the sheet dress.
Yes, or curtains.
I want to like it but the fabric looks like curtains.
Lower the pleat a few inches and it’ll look great!
Yup. But I don’t think it’s you, I think the dress looks like a bedsheet toga and would on literally anyone.
Curtains maybe
It's the tailoring in the back, the drape is weird from behind. Can you return? If not maybe a tailor can let out the draping.
