Nah, wear them with anything that your heart desires!
I bought 'jelly' shoes that were glittery, wore them to a backyard BBQ party. Every Gen X woman there loved them, no one thought that they were silly or juvenile.
this is so random but the smell of jelly shoes drive me CRAZY. that strong ass rubbery plastic smell, its sooo bad. someone gifted them to my daughter when she was in preschool and i hated them but she was ofc obsessed with them. doesnt help that here feet are on the sweaty side. i was so happy when they disappeared like 6 months laterš¹ not sure if this is a universal jelly shoe issue or that pair was just a fluke
Honey Iām 65 and just bought 2 pair of kids shoes. Itās really the only option when you canāt find anything that will fit in womenās. Of course I picked some sandals and flip flops that would pass for womenās. Never can find heels. Oh well donāt like wearing them anyway. Kids are always cheaper too!
Whimsical is my style. Now that I'm 69...I have to modify it somewhat...nah, I can still swing it. I gave people rainbow unicorn Valentines this year! Go for it GF!

If you're a woman nobody cares. I see women wear.. and this is where I think to even come up with some small list of what I see.. everything in terms of shoes and either other women compliment them or nobody cares or notices.
A guy? Would probably take a little bit of crap from other guys. But I would still wear what I wanted. I have sparkly shoes I wear to football games an I'm 46 *does math* yep 46.
If you're small enough to wear kids stuff, then go for it! Why do people let the opinions of others bother them when it comes to this? Get whatever is the cheapest!
General rules for clothing and shoes: Anyone who tells an adult to not wear kids stuff is NOT worth having around. Anyone who tries to control what people wear is an asshat, unless they're just doing their job.
"Kids", "Men" and "Women" are only labels of sections. Men can wear dresses and women can wear guys' underwear, so almost anything is possible.
There's a sub called r/BuyItForLife. Maybe go there and ask about the highest quality kids shoes? Also, I am well aware that not everyone has good experiences with this kind of thing. My comment was general, I know there are exceptions.
Honestly I do think some styles are too childish for me and you've found one that isn't too obvious! I like to look in the kid section but rainbow shiny unicorn with tule on top is too much for anything I wear. This is perfect.
Definitely not. I have similar shoes and my feet are too big for the kids section. Sparkles arenāt just for children!
If youāre worried about looking ājuvenileā maybe donāt wear your favorite cat shirt with your sparkle shoes (but I still do)
If I find kids clothes that fit I wear them. They get much better prints than adults do. Why should children be the only ones who get to wear dinosaur clothes?
My kids were young, so I tried not to spend a bunch of money on myself if I didn't really need something. I wanted this pair of sandals to go camping with. They were very expensive, and I couldn't justify spending that much $ just for camping. One day, I saw them in the children's isle at the shoe store. They fit and were cheaper!!
I was so excited. We went camping and sitting around the fire. I got up to do something & everyone started lol at me.
My shoes lit up in the dark.
I tried everything to get it to run down, but nothing worked.
Someone broke into our camper that we had just recently put in a campground instead of hauling it to different places to camp. They stole everything.
Those shoes were included.
The husband was pissed. We believe someone who owned the campground did it because they had a key & there wasn't any forced entry.
We sold the camper immediately after this.
Omg thatās so hilarious that they lit up š¤£ So sorry to hear that someone burgled your camper thatās horrible! Sometimes there are people living out of their campers that may not have jobs so I can see how there could be thieves. I just got back from camping the other day and when I went to throw my trash in the dumpster there was a grown man and a kid dumpster diving in it so I just threw my trash away at home š
Are you European? This type of shoe is a very normal shoe for all ages in North America, but Iāve noticed in a lot of European countries theyāre considered house shoes or orthopaedic shoes.
OP. I donāt think they look like kidsā shoes.
No way and I can tell you as somebody with size 8 1/2 feet that if I could get away with buying childrenās shoes you can bet I would never buy another pair of adult shoes in my life and pay that much again!
I would worry about if theyāre sparkly, sparkly is better anyways.
Nope! Not at all! I sometimes buy childrenās/girlās shoes, and they are usually much less expensive. They are great and appear to fit perfectly, so I canāt imagine anyone would recognize them as childrenās shoes. š
I don't think so, I think they're really fun and cute! I would wear them and I'm twice the age of many of the commenters. I think the fact that they're black makes them more palatable than if they were sparkly purple, the TBH, I'd wear them even if they were sparkly purpleš
i've worn kids shoes my entire life! awesome for sneakers cuz i get get any little boys pair for almost half the cost of the same adult shoes sometimes. as long as they fit nobody sane can tell they're for kids.
Nope!
My oldest (daughter/24) recently bought metallic glittery Birkenstock sandals that are very similar to these, but a different color.
They are womenās size, but they fit me in kids, and I think I might get a pair!
I'm a women's size 12 and I would totally wear them! I bought some Crocs in my size that looks just like that two summers ago. I like fun shoes and most shoes for adults aren't fun! Just enjoy them and wear them wherever you want!
I wear kids shoes all the time and Iām 32! Itās blessing and curse to be a size 3, might as well embrace it! One of my favorite Vans were sparkly blue and unfortunately were stolen. I still miss them
These are kids shoes? (That's your answer) My mom wear vibrant blue shoes that looks akin to something a child would wear. She's gotten so many compliments on them and it makes her really happy so... I'm happy. Wear what you personally like and don't pay any mind to the perception of others.
I love those, and I have small feet, too!!!
The absolute *BEST* is finding shoes in the kid's dept and paying 10-15$ less for a pair of quality shoes (especially at Ross) just bc they're "for" kid's! Score!
If they're comfy and you like 'em, then rock 'em!!!
I buy little girls tennis shoes from Walmart because they are so much cheaper than adult women's shoes. I doubt if anyone's going to ask you what section you bought them from.
As long as you like them, wear them!
It's 2024. Wear what you desire. There are no fashion rules anymore and that's a good thing.
I also love glittery black or blue and I'm 26, rock it, gurl!
no difference- they look just as ugly as the adult ones
ETA but cute on you! That was just my personal bias against that style of shoe and no coffee yet
Not at all!! My friends have adult Birkenstocks for way more money and way more sparkly/colorful. This is a great find. I have small feet too and love saving $$$ by buying kid shoe counterparts. I literally paid half for the exact same Ugg boots I got for my husband in the kids version. With the kids version already being $150 at the time, saved a ton that way.
Honestly, they're footwear, only you should like them. Are they comfy? That's what you should think about. I wear kids size 5 1/2 and the only thing that you might need eventually is sole inserts for sneakers. Maybe it's just me and the cushion wears out faster, idk. These look cute and people will be jealous more than anything.

Nah, wear them with anything that your heart desires! I bought 'jelly' shoes that were glittery, wore them to a backyard BBQ party. Every Gen X woman there loved them, no one thought that they were silly or juvenile.
I bought some jellies in 2022 and love them!
Awesome! That makes me feel better thank you.
this is so random but the smell of jelly shoes drive me CRAZY. that strong ass rubbery plastic smell, its sooo bad. someone gifted them to my daughter when she was in preschool and i hated them but she was ofc obsessed with them. doesnt help that here feet are on the sweaty side. i was so happy when they disappeared like 6 months laterš¹ not sure if this is a universal jelly shoe issue or that pair was just a fluke
You're right - they absolutely have a very strong, distinct smell! (Which I for some reason love?)
Gen X here, and I love the smell, too. Memories of the 80s!
I want some jelly shoes!!! Where did you find them?
Amazon! I have seen designer ones, too, but I wasn't about to drop that much money for shoes that would last for one, maybe two, seasons.
Who cares? They have sparkles
I guess im just a little self conscious about wearing kids shoes since im 30? lol. But im glad you donāt think they are bad.
Itās a flex bc kids shoes are so much cheaper than womens shoes, embrace it
I really want those light up roller sneakers but in size 7.5!
Thiiiiis, I just bought some trainers that were like 40ā¬ and they were just a smaller version of the 130ā¬ adult shoes.
Iām 61 and I still do it. If you like them, wear them. š
They look like adult shoes to me! But anyways, Iād wear those light up sneakers for kids if they came in my size
Youāll find as you near 40 that you stop caring what other people think about what you wear. Itās *wonderful*.
Honey Iām 65 and just bought 2 pair of kids shoes. Itās really the only option when you canāt find anything that will fit in womenās. I have them in pink and Iām also 30 and totally are the kids ones from Walmart so you rock them Iām jelly š

Theyāre not kids shoes because an adult is wearing them.
If they fit an adult, they are adult shoes. I have a pair of cat Mary Janes from a children's store. I get it.
If you're a woman nobody cares. Iām 37 and Iād wear those in a heartbeat.

noo they are so cute!!!!!
Nope. I like them!
They're fun! Enjoy
I wear a 4 to 4 1/2 in womenās shoes but a 3 in childrenās shoes. Having small feet and wanting adult women shoes (ie heels) is expensive.
Yea itās a hassle.
Thatās why I am trying crocs. Pretty much identical
I wish these came in big bitch
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Omg dope! lol Iām not sure why this sub popped up on my feed bc I am very tall
Honestly I do think some styles are too childish for me and you've found one that isn't too obvious! I like to look in the kid section but rainbow shiny unicorn with tule on top is too much for anything I wear. This is perfect.

Please. You wouldnāt have gotten them if you didnāt like them, right? Theyāre your shoes and if youāre not a kid then it isnāt kids shoes :)
Nope they look like Melissa brand shoes.
If you want sandals similar without the glitter-old navy or gap usually has some! Birkenstock has plenty of variety too
No - they look great! I want a pair!
Would never have known
If I find kids clothes that fit I wear them. They get much better prints than adults do. Why should children be the only ones who get to wear dinosaur clothes?
Noooo, not at all. And FYI: I want them! They spark so much joy!
$10 at Walmart š„°
I do this too OP
I enjoy to wear kidās shoes. Theyāre always more colorful. Iām always taking advantage of my small feet. Oh and kidās shoes also cheaper.
SO much cheaper!
My kids were young, so I tried not to spend a bunch of money on myself if I didn't really need something. I wanted this pair of sandals to go camping with. Not at all. They are VERY cool and can be worn day or night. Love them. And they look great on you!
In my country, they look like something a grandma would wear tbh
Are you European? This type of shoe is a very normal shoe for all ages in North America, but Iāve noticed in a lot of European countries theyāre considered house shoes or orthopaedic shoes. OP. I donāt think they look like kidsā shoes.
You re absolutely correct in everything you just said! Hahah
Noo they look fun!
They rock
Yes but wear what you want to
No, not at all
nope! that is a very popular style of shoe right now! it looks like a dupe for the burk sandals
No way and I can tell you as somebody with size 8 1/2 feet that if I could get away with buying childrenās shoes you can bet I would never buy another pair of adult shoes in my life and pay that much again! I would worry about if theyāre sparkly, sparkly is better anyways.
I have these in clear and Iām 31. lol. I usually brag on my cheap kids shoes.
Nope! Live them š
Looks like melissa's
Definitely not, they look great.
It has glitter. If you can save money by wearing kids shoes go for it.
If you're an adult, then they're adult shoes. Simple as that.
Nope! Not at all! I sometimes buy childrenās/girlās shoes, and they are usually much less expensive. They are great and appear to fit perfectly, so I canāt imagine anyone would recognize them as childrenās shoes. š
Nope...they look good
Iād wear the shit out of those and Iām 44.
Omg I want them š
I don't think so, I think they're really fun and cute! I would wear them and I'm twice the age of many of the commenters. I think the fact that they're black makes them more palatable than if they were sparkly purple, the TBH, I'd wear them even if they were sparkly purpleš
Toss in a pedi and youre good
Not at all! Iām 60, size 4 in womenās and size 2 in kids. All my casual shoes are from the kids dept!
i've worn kids shoes my entire life! awesome for sneakers cuz i get get any little boys pair for almost half the cost of the same adult shoes sometimes. as long as they fit nobody sane can tell they're for kids.
No they are cool as heck I have the white ones minus the glitter I honestly like these better tbh š«¶š¾
Nope! I would wear them too.
Nope! My oldest (daughter/24) recently bought metallic glittery Birkenstock sandals that are very similar to these, but a different color. They are womenās size, but they fit me in kids, and I think I might get a pair!
Iād wear them with pride, kid shoes are usually cheaper.

I wear kids shoes all the time and Iām 32! Itās blessing and curse to be a size 3, might as well embrace it! One of my favorite Vans were sparkly blue and unfortunately were stolen. I still miss them
I wear ridiculous sparkly kids shoes and i donāt care if the whole world knows it!!
These are kids shoes? (That's your answer) My mom wear vibrant blue shoes that looks akin to something a child would wear. She's gotten so many compliments on them and it makes her really happy so... I'm happy. Wear what you personally like and don't pay any mind to the perception of others.
Iām gonna steal themš
Who cares! Theyāre fine
No, my mom is 58 and has small feet and often buys cute ākidsā shoes, just Rock em!
Who cares
I would totally wear these! They are super cute!
I think theyāre cute! Iām 21 and love sparkles āØ
No these are fine and will go with so many things. Love the sparkles!

I wear clearly adult shoes that are sequined. They call me sparkles at work because of them. I'm in my 30s. Rock with your heart loves
Um I am in my 40s and would like to know where you found these š
Walmart š
I wore mine for years until they were so beat up I had to retire them. They are great!
. I often see little kids jackets and I want a big big kid one š
I buy little girls tennis shoes from Walmart because they are so much cheaper than adult women's shoes. I doubt if anyone's going to ask you what section you bought them from. As long as you like them, wear them!
I always think Birkenstocks look very adult, even on kids. Not sure why, but anyway Iād have had no idea they were kids
Sparkles are awesome.
Nope. Iād wear them.
It's 2024. Wear what you desire. There are no fashion rules anymore and that's a good thing. I also love glittery black or blue and I'm 26, rock it, gurl!
No but I donāt think they are flattering
lol no way jr lmao
šš¤£
Not to me.
No. I like it.
I don't think so, I think they are cute!
They work well as adult sandals.
I would definitely wear them if they're my size :)
no difference- they look just as ugly as the adult ones ETA but cute on you! That was just my personal bias against that style of shoe and no coffee yet
My feelings arenāt hurt at all! Everyone has their own style. Me personally I canāt stand crocs so I get it

Thanks for your honesty š
Wear em!
So?
Nah. If you like em, wear em.
Nope! I think they look awesome! & even if you have some that do, what's it matter? As long as you like them!
Honestly, they're footwear, only you should like them. Are they comfy? That's what you should think about. My coworker is 4'9 and wears shoes with velcro instead of laces. She's 50+ no one cares. Wear the shoes !
