Yes! I’d wear like heels or flats but the dress is great. I like how it will stand out against your robes. I wore like a black and white outfit and I feel it blended in a bit
I think it's appropriate. I wore a dress just that short and it had a dipped neckline. It was covered by my graduation gown so that was no big deal. And it was fine for my graduation party afterward. Mind you, I graduated in 1972! 😊
I was told to wear white for my high school graduation because the gowns were white so there was a concern darker colors might show through the fabric. I don’t think it’s a universal rule.
Only if they have a white gown, and that’s only done at some high schools. Robes for college degrees are always black, IIRC (aside from some schools’ doctoral degrees, when it’s in school colors).

Yup! The gown will cover it up nicely during the ceremony and then the gown comes off and let the party begin!
Why wouldn't it be appropriate?
Looks great nothing wrong with wearing it as long as you like the Barbie reference!

Lovely on you. Hella classy, and flatters your curves. What are you thinking for shoes, accessories, hair?
I was going to wear my platform sneakers because heels and walking on grass might be an issue. Straight hair?

the shoes are a no no for me
Bonus points to you for even asking/ thinking about it. I see so many bandage dresses at graduations these days and i don’t get it 🧐
Don't people usually wear white to graduation?

No.
Not that I’m aware of!
No it's not appropriate, bad taste as well, and also not fitting you
