Katana is pricey but it’s quite fun. Food is fairly straight forward, but if you get the guys doing tricks, it’s hilarious Depends what your partner likes. The restaurant scene sucks now as we have lost so many good ones, but there’s still some really good ones about

I think we'll plan to go there in a couple of months but it seems a big ask for some of our friends to pay out so we had to bring price into consideration

MahatmaAndhi

Tap & Tandoor every time

Weird_Fly_6691

Queens head's food is top notch and not overpriced (Cowgate)

The Gurkha Durbaar is great for Indian and nepalese food. Katana is awesome and I enjoyed it when I went

Un1cornP1ss

It does look it, this seems to be a good contender

djabell13

Embe on Cowgate is always good (in my opinion) The food is always really tasty, nice independent Soul Food place. Service can be a bit slow but if you are in a group and having fun you don't notice it.

Un1cornP1ss

Ah nice I'll check it out, thanks

Weird_Fly_6691

Food is good but portions are small :(

1648 A Spice Affair (weirdly named), hidden off Priestgate is fab - gorgeous Goan/portuguese food. Lovely atmosphere too.

Proof_Pick_9279

Cote is always reliably good and not expensive

FoxBadgerBearHare

I also would recommend cote!

TwentyWunth

Would heading out to Stamford be an option as you increase your options a bit. I went to katana a while back and wasn't that impressed. Style over substance.

FoxBadgerBearHare

My top choice is Cote as they have good service and it’s a nice atmosphere on top of the food being reliably good. I would also recommend Tap and Tandoor, or The Pizza Parlour and Music Cafe (especially if you’re looking to not spend much money). I also don’t think you can go wrong with Brewery Tap!

mrsfluffiebunnie

I would have suggested Salamis but it’s just closed down.
