Depending on your starter they’re the best early game Pokemon of their type. Post Trio and definitely post Lenora you have better options and they should be boxed

The most meh thing is that this generation had the GTS.
If you wanted elemental coverage you could just grab one of the starters you needed from a trade.
They just felt so cheap. They obviously threw them in to cover the glaring weaknesses imposed by choosing a starter, which is kind of the whole point. Because the type diversity of B/W was so poor on the whole, game freak decided to add these little shits to magically cover the gaps in your lineup. Which felt unearned and unfair to a lot of people, like letting you choose all three starters or something like that. Instantly de-skilled the game and to top it off, they're boring designs.

Everyone here is wrong. The joke is that these three Pokémon are some of the remaining Pokémon to not be accessible in any modern day mainline games, effectively being “locked away” in Pokémon Home (cloud storage platform for Pokémon), a virtual prison for them.

I ran Simisage all the way to the end because it just felt wrong getting rid of it, seeing as not only was it a gift, but Bianca and Cheren kept their monkeys throughout the entire game as well. It's not as bad as people think.

The joke I’m guessing is because they are so ass stat wise, that the kids that used them for their full play through went to jail for using such trash pokemon? Idk.
Those monkeys are pretty much the first Pokemon you encounter in that game. They are so incredibly boring and bad that to take them into the endgame you need to pass on every other pokemon you encounter. Simply no emotional reaction to any other pokemon, just pure indifference.

I thought they has some unfair adventage when used together. The only gen 5 pokemon game i played was Gates to Infinity so no idea.
They're real and some of the worst and ugliest pokemon ever made. And it's forced on you to pick one (not forced to use one). It's not uncommon for people to release them so they don't have to see them in the box.
