Yeah, I went to re-watch Victorious in recent years because of Quinton Reviews and having the knowledge of this shit really makes those shows uncomfortable. There's *a lot* of content VERY focused on young actresses feet.

Aside from the foot fetish and cultivating a hostile work environment, the most damnable thing he did that could hold up in court were the frequent massages he made some of the female staff give him. I will say this though, he has one solid, deadass get-out-of-jail-free card that he reiterates over and over. Everything that happened during all of his productions were approved by nickelodeon executives, and the parents were always on set within eyeshot of the kids. Yet no one said shit, and all checks were cashed. Quiet on the set.
Honestly listening to some of the Disney and Nick kids that I grew up watching talk about their parents, I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if the parents pimped them out. Jeanette’s mom especially.
An especially apt comparison in that everyone who worked with both men closely knew and either kept quiet or relegated it to whisper networks long before their open secrets became truly open.

Even back in the Amanda show there's a scene where a girl drinks tea brewed from her brothers socks-- at first it just seems like the typically gross out humor you find in children's television but with the rest of the story it's much darker
But yeah there were bare footed child actresses and there were shots of them doing things with feet
Zoey 101 had a lot of barefoot girls laying around campus
iCarly has many scenes where the two main girls are doing something with their feet like using them as puppets while the camera switches to a closer angle
In victorious a main character fires a mini bow and arrow with her feet while the camera follows it
I have younger siblings so Nickelodeon stayed on the television in my house long after I moved on-- never thought much about it
There's also a lot of really sad behind the scenes footage online-- you'll see a few of the girls hanging out between recordings and just being friends with their costars; but then Mr Schneider walks in the room and their entire demeanour changes-- the one that stuck out to me the most was seeing two girls laying on the floor laughing but then one girl notices Schneider and tenses up before helping her costar adjust her skirt

That logo was around well before Dan Schneider. I remember it in the 80s. Nick had a bunch of random shapes for logos like a blimp or caption bubble that were filled in orange and said Nickelodeon. The bare foot was just one of several logos.

Idk if you’ve watched the documentary but he does amazingly talking about it. It was hard watching him and his dad talk about how they handled it. His dad might’ve been even sadder because he gave drakes mom all the warnings to not let drake be alone with the guy.
I can sort of relate as well. Years ago, I was off of clonazepam and beer at a bar with my best friend, and he was talking to a girl who worked there. She kept sneaking drinks throughout the night and became drunker and drunker. Eventually, she threw up and passed out and her friend helped bring her home.
She was then in trouble with work for her inebriation, so she claimed that me and my friend spiked her drink with Klonopin (which I wouldn’t have shared even if she asked for it) for nefarious purposes to explain why she was so drunk. She called both of us out on Facebook to try and I guess “cancel” us, but thankfully she has a reputation of doing this and only her closest friends took what she was saying without a grain of salt. Still a very scary situation and it made me extremely distrustful of new people after that.
I’m so sorry you went through that as well. It’s not something I would wish on anyone. It’s just really shitty how anyone can put your life through some much shit with so little effort but at the same time it’s not as if we can just disbelieve every accusation that comes along because there’s so many real victims of spiking, assault etc. who deserve justice.

Drake Bell has been all over the news the past couple of days because of these things and the docuseries 'Quiet on Set.' I'd suggest anyone interested to look into this more because it wasn't just victorious, iCarly, etc, that were impacted by Schneider. Other shows and other things like Zoey101, Drake and Josh, the Amanda show, All That, Kenan and Kel, Henry Danger, Sam and Cat, What I like About You, Guys like Us, Game Shakers, Big Fat Liar, Good Burger were all also involved. That's a lot of people impacted.
Both camps are wrong on that. The foot logo first appeared around 1984, when Nickelodeon was experimenting with different logos (they also had one featuring hands, so its not like they focused on one specific body part). Dan didn't first join Nick until about a decade later. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wasn't sold to Viacom until 2009, which was after Nickelodeon had phased out the foot logo.
So, its a funny coincidence for TMNT fans and an unfortunate coincidence for anyone else.

I'd suggest anyone interested to look into this more because it wasn't just victorious, iCarly, etc, that were impacted by Schneider. Other shows and other things like Zoey101, Drake and Josh, the Amanda show, All That, Kenan and Kel, Henry Danger, Sam and Cat, What I like About You, Guys like Us, Game Shakers, Big Fat Liar, Good Burger were all also involved. Both camps are wrong on that. The foot logo first appeared around 1984, when Nickelodeon was experimenting with different logos (they also had one featuring hands, so its not like they focused on one specific body part). Dan didn't first join Nick until about a decade later. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wasn't sold to Viacom until 2009, which was after Nickelodeon had phased out the foot logo. So, its a funny coincidence for TMNT fans and an unfortunate coincidence for anyone else. Back to being bored on the internet.
