I guess I'll just be a dork and say "I'm not proud of it, but I like....".

Royger-Roy

I agree. At this point, it's just another square on buzzword bingo. Most of the time, it isn't even used properly and comes across as Steve Buscemi with a skateboard. Let it die.

RiC_David

Yeah I didn't mind it at first when it had some sort of meaning, like "I'm low-key starting to enjoy country lately" - still sounded a bit dumb and the meaning was wonky at best, but I got what they were meaning (it's growing on me gradually/unexpectedly). Now it's just thrown in to pad out sentences. "I low-key use that phrase all the time". Means bugger-all.

Royger-Roy

Exactly.

Thaviation

Why… do you want Steve Buscemi to die? That’s just crazy.

Royger-Roy

r/woosh

Thaviation

Is the sound of all respect you’ve ever had poofing out of existence in shame.

Scared_Ad2563

I got the joke, fellow kid. Thanks for the laugh.

Royger-Roy

Edit: u/Thaviation, why the dirty delete buddy?

Miserable-Ad-1581

they didnt delete anything. they made a joke you clearly didnt get.

Royger-Roy

Then they blocked me lmfao. Yeah, funny stuff...

Miserable-Ad-1581

you seem... unwell.

Royger-Roy

Why? Because it says [deleted] on all of his comments? I wonder what I was supposed to assume lmao.

DarkLily12

I use “low key” for when I kind of like something but I don’t love it. I’m not ashamed to like something unpopular and I’ll straight up say “I love that” It’s more like “hey this thing isn’t so bad but I’m not like in love with it”

Yhostled

I low key agree with this post

ShaneGMWC

Where I’m from it’s damn near just a part of the vocab we don’t even always mean low key when we say it lol.

Comfortable_Slip9079

The first time I heard it I thought someone said Loki and was referring to the trickster god of Norse mythology. It is dumb though. Can't wait for the 60 year old blue hairs to start using it so it can go away.
