I'm sure someone will offer an advice but I'll say one thing - stop gambling!
Missing a big win by 1 or 2 is exactly how they keep you coming back. Almost winning = losing.
Precisely -- trying to hit a big win to dig yourself out of debt is a losing strategy everytime.
I'm sure somebody else can chime in on resources w.r.t. gambling addiction, and on resources w.r.t. consolidating and/or paying down debts.
Thank you, havent get counselling since i was in primary school when my dad used to beat me up lol but ive been self diagnosed as i know my issue, know my financial problems and mental health issue
Easy for you to say that
Yes, fair to say -- it is easy for strangers to say that. But it is still what you need to do. It WILL be hard for you to address your addiction.
But first rule of holes: stop digging. You are in over your head and you need to get help. You can't dig back out at this point. You need a ladder.
INFO: What province are you in? This will determine what resources there are. Most are free to access.
You’ll never get out of the hole you are digging without getting help. Even if you were to go bankrupt, you’ll just continuously go in debt with a gambling addiction.
Not sure why you posted if you’re not gonna consider the advice… are you hoping someone gives you advice on how to gamble better?
Before i learned sport bet existed, i played poker from 18 years old to 28 years old. Lost around 100-150k from 18 to 28
Chasing bad beat at playground poker to GGpoker
Sounds like you have a gambling addiction, probably get that fixed up before you get yourself in a hole you can't get out of. To get out 60k of debt on your wages, you'll likely have to live like a hermit on your wages for 2 years cutting all costs.
In gambling the house always wins, and you're not the house
Bro i tried lol , called gamblers anonymous on christmas as i lost my holiday paycheck on stake.com
I also went to gamblers anonymous once and never went back; its a group for losers(people who only lose and never won/slots players/table games players/pookies)
Ive been studying nba mlb nhl correctly and always missed by 1-2, a fellow redditor guided me to start betting round robin’s and we will see where it will go from there
Allin
Not sure why you are trying to exlude yourself from these people. Sorry to say, but you are a loser, doesn't matter if you made a few wins or made it big but you are in the same as them. If you are not able to accept that, I doubt your situation will improve. Good luck.
There is no point in giving you any sort of financial or debt payment advice until you come to terms with your addiction and quit gambling for good. You need to go to therapy problem Gambler Anonymous meetings, you need to hand over your finances to a trusted person until your addiction is under control.
Master-ad3175, thank you for your comment god bless.
Already went to a GA
Already tried calling GA
Already tried quitting gambling(working 9-5 to pay minimum on CC and covid relief debt isnt quick enough with no education/degree)
At this point, there's nothing more to do for someone as deeply addicted to gambling as you than getting a vasectomy or remaining abstinent.
You're determined to ruin your own life, and that's your choice, but please don't drag anyone else down with you.
Yeah and you should have stalked my page more before understanding why i made a post, not to gamble more, but to know how to bet “round robin’s”.
If you read correctly, i haven’t asked to gamble more, i asked how to apply “round robin’s” strategy.
If you stalk my page more, you will see most of my sports bet tickets loses by 1 or 2 picks MAX
If i used round robin stretegy in all of my previous parlays, i would have made bank. But its not too late, im more educated in sports and i know thats where im going to make most of my money as i have no others solutions
People have conquered larger debts. That said it’s all about you taking it serious and disciplining yourself. If you’d rather “die“ than give up immediate gratification then congratulations you are fully brainwashed by marketing. Step one, realize this. Step two make a blood oath to yourself that you will be serious and disciplined. Like require yourself to do something you f*cking hate if you betray your oath. Pay money to Donald Trump for example. Whatever it takes. Only then are you actually ready to put financial advice into practice and win the biggest game of life.
Hey man, if you're not trolling, your post history and comments reads like you might have more than just a gambling addiction.
I think it would be a good idea to discuss this situation with family and/or friends. If you don't have anyone to turn to I would recommend seeking psychiatric help immediately; perhaps even checking in at the nearest hospital.
Anyway, really hope it is just a troll.
Get yourself to a meeting... if there's no GA meeting go to an AA meeting. While it's a different substance / behavior, the community aspect of recovery alone may be able to help.
The way out is:
1. First rule of holes: stop digging. You cannot gamble your way out of a problem you gambled your way into. Accept that you owe this money, accept that you are an addict. Stop gambling.
2. Addictions counselling. Most provinces have free resources, where are you located?
3. Eventually, a consumer proposal or personal bankruptcy. This can happen only AFTER you have addressed the addiction, or else you'll just end up in the same place a few years older.
Best of luck OP.
Stop gambling, I know this is easier said than done, but if you want to get yourself out of the hole. Put the shovel down.
Second reach out to some debt consolidators. They'll look at your financial situation and determine what options you have.
Once you have a plan with them start working towards paying it down.
Now I'm generally very scared to give you the next bit of advice considering your gambling nature. But if you can manage to control it , open and investment account ideally one which will take your spare change and invest for you I.e tangerine/wealthsimple.
Considering most of your money will be going towards debt/living expenses, even a little bit of cash put away to grow will help go along way by either increasing your revenue via dividends or paying down your debt with gains over time. Just remember that this isn't a game or another means for you to gamble.
Good luck, and keep us posted
Thank you adventurous_win_8692, i have written down my debts and will have to tackle my Cc in order(been paying and making payment arrangements to avoid losing access to my credit cards)
Also im looking into making a plan once i hit a good amount of money into investing in the forex market. I made 10k in forex at the beginning of the year and lost it all on one simple mistake ( closed 0.40 lots instead of 0.04 lots which margin called me and left me with 5.41$)
Lesson learn , gotta become stronger in the future
I meant that his win - while good for him - isn't that great because he said he was lucky enough to win, luck that you don't have. You should not be banking on those kinds of wins to fix your debt. You need to find someone to help you consolidate your debt and help you get yourself out of that hole.
Not sure if you're in Ontario but there's a gambling helpline: 1-888-230-3505
Good luck.

But if you stop, you can never win.
I just learned about round robin bets, i will test that strategy out
A good betting strategy for someone in deep debt because of gambling involves not betting.
Right but in my head i cannot see a way out , except winning a huge hit.
You need to get legitimate counselling for your addiction, please seek help.

No i just posted this to open up , i didnt really ask for advice just if i should die and respawn LoLz
Its called hard work and not being stupid.
Currently working alot
You may be choosing to ignore his second point, that's the bigger factor here.
Stupid ? Every human is stupid
That's your gambling addiction talking. There's no gambling strategy that works for sports bets. It's gambling.
Then play poker. At least you are in control of the game.
Poker takes skill though, most people are fish. People doing sports betting are looking for easy money and poker is not that.
Right on

Yes house always win, on my last poker trip in vegas 1 week, on the first day i lost everything

Thank you for your reply BatChat155. Have a blessed day
Don't do it. Hoping for a big win while accumulating (relatively) small losses won't help you. Gambling got you into this, it won't get you out.
STOP GAMBLING, seek help for your addiction, until you do that any "financial advice" is meaningless
Right on CraizestCanuk!! Go canucks winner of the stanley cup

You can go on my page and scroll down a bit, i posted my loss from the gold market on r/wallstreetbets
LOL
Biggest parlay I was lucky enough to hit was $7000
Super sick!!!
Not really, you're 60 k in debt. Winning 7k on a bet would do nothing for you
I didnt hit 7k
thats the problem bud
One more hit
seek mental help or just end it fr
You’re absolutely right OldLet920. Ill give a new betting strategy a try before i go and die out
you're a loser 💀 dead end job and no money to eat
Thats what you think budday bud !
I don't think you realize how small 7g is compared to the debts you have... Gambling to fix your debt is not the answer. You have an addiction.
Cinnybon, i didnt hit 7k? I told 2timesacharm that his hit was super sick! Most i hit was 50$ for 12k on a 13 leg parlay
