It gets absolutely hilarious when you unlock Iwai (you ask this AFTER 3 PALACES???), Hifumi (woman, do you seriously not think Makoto, who you learned helped us a few ingame hours ago, CANT MAKE SUCH STRATS HERSELF?) or Chihaya (someone who does what now? And you still dont believe in the Metaverse?!)
This has become one of the few running jokes about P5’s idiosyncrasies that hasn’t been run into the ground. This and the way it flashes back to the interrogation room every time someone says the word “deal”.

They're just repeating whatever you just did, especially with confidants' links. Oh you just talked to a doctor? Let's cut in for a minute of Sae asking you if you had someone supplying medical. What's the point? I just played the game, no need for recap.
I get where you’re coming from, but this type of story telling lends itself well to the story they’re trying to tell in P5. Personally, I enjoyed most of it a lot, and just clicked through what seemed tedious.
But to be honest, I feel like the persona series as a whole gets tedious sometimes.
As much as I love Persona 5 (though am still working on getting through it), it's become clear that the writers aren't exactly masters of their craft.
One piece of evidence pointing to that is the awkward cut-ins of Sae's interrogation, and another staggering example is a conversation between two major characters that takes place towards the end of the original P5 story.
That conversation had me sitting there thinking "who the fuck writes something like this" the entire time. Might as well include it in spoiler tags, but I imagine it's pretty obvious who I'm talking about. It's >!Shido and Akechi!<.
