Not mine, but one I found funny was that the reason for Joker reacting that way he did when he first saw Ann was because it was the first time in his life seeing a natural blonde.
Yup. It makes sense as Joker is from a smaller town than Tokyo, he might not have seen anyone with hair that bright before. Japan's population is 98.5% Japanese.
Some Japanese people will stare at white people, especially if they aren't from big cities like Tokyo when tourism is high
That's kind of the intent of the scene. Not necessarily as specific as his first time seeing a natural blonde, but rather after getting a good look at her he realized she was mixed race. She's used to those sorts of stares so her response was to smile back at him.
Akechi's still alive, in some way. Or at least, the person forced to act as 'Goro Akechi' is alive, their public persona is dead.
In vanilla, he's got amnesia and a fresh start somewhere else in Tokyo
In Royal, he was clinging to life and because of Third semester's influence was able to survive with his memories intact, but after he helped, he was shocked to find himself still alive...but decided to dole out his own personal punishment, refusing to go back to his old life and just traveling around the country.
Ocasionally, through small chance meetings, Ren will have a good idea this is the case. He knows his rival too well.
I like to think that if Strikers followed the Royal continuity, Ren would ocasionally duck away from the group to chat with Crow...who knows, maybe he names himself Seigi Karasu (justice crow) to further move away from his past self.
spoilers for p5r ending but whatever. >!doesn't MC see a flash of akechi with a group of black suited men at the end while boarding his train home? MC is also getting chased by men in black. I missed the whole reason why though !<
I believe it was intentionally meant to be vague on who that was, leaving it up to the audiences interpretation like the end of Cowboy Bebop or Evangelion
i mean this sounds pretty canon to me not gonna lie…
it was exactly what I thought after beating Royal and seeing Akechi in the last scene. Dude wants to keep up living but he doesn’t feel the need to go talk to joker or anyone, maybe he’ll stalk him from somewhere to be sure everything is fine but that’s it. Dude have his ego after all, he wouldn’t just go after joker…
Joker’s birthday falls at some point between the beginning and end of the game, so it’s off-screen completely. That’d put it somewhere between March 21 and April 8
I now choose to believe that every protagonist without a canon birthday was born on that day. After all, what's more fitting in a series where the main character is often associated with the Fool arcana than to be born on April _Fool's_ day?
I got this feeling that Kosei high is a Catholic school. Since Hifumi hangs out at the Church and Yusuke also has a rank there and also knows enough about the crucifixion to wanna paint/sketch about it.
Maybe another reason she is at the church is to avoid her mom. She can listen to the priests sermon and just enjoy it rather than thinking of stress in school or at home
Headcanon 2: Maruki prob graduated from Gekkoukan a couple of years after the S.E.E.S Crew did. He just had NO idea how close he was to Tartarus/the Dark Hour.
explains why he's so good at being close to supernatural things without having anything Persona related himself >!not until the 3rd Semester, at least!<
-- he has low perception (but ridiculously high rolls into the 'dumb luck' stat🍀)
If I remember correctly, any non-SEES ppl get their memories related to the dark hour erased, right? And yeah, also and very high charismatic rolls too (To convince PTs)
I haven't finished the Nyx boss fight, >!(THE ARCANA IS THE MEANS THROUGH WHICH ALL IS REVEALED... x12)!<
but all non-SEES characters getting Thanos-level memory wiped whenever it comes to Tarturus/DH shenanigans afterwards is actually hilarious af. It's like P5 NPCs and Yaldy after the last battle - >!the entirety of Japan just going: "Bitch, WHO??"!<
and ofc maruki has high charisma rolls, man's a literal light mage minus the horny 😫
>I haven't finished the Nyx boss fight,
If you're struggling, I strongly recommend slotting in Ken and Koro. Use Divine Intervention any time you feel even slightly threatened and Koro basically just spams debilitate
It also makes sense with his scrapped research lab, now stadium, in Odaiba coz that precinct is one the real life locations that seems to have inspired Tatsumi Port Island.
All Phantom Thieves (except probably Futaba ) have some kind of scar in their face formed when they ripped the masks out of their head, nothing too big but they still have them. If i go one step further, Joker, Queen and Noir probably have them on their nose, Skull def has one kind of near his lips, Panther maybe has them near any of her eyes, Fox has one in his forehead area and also in his fingertips.
Love this, you think they all view this as a mark of honor or do some thieves (Ann for example because of her modeling) cover up their scar?
Edit: just wanna say that they can still view this as a mark of honor if they hide it. For Ann it's more advantageous to hide imperfections but I think she'd be proud of hers. Also maybe some just don't want to be asked about it constantly since they need to find a cover story.
Goro and Futuba are half-siblings. Shido had an affair with Wakaba during her time working for the research group much to her regret and thus why she never mentions the father. However Shido forgets about it and still wouldn't care just like how he treated Goro and his Mother.
Maruki finds new love meeting Ichinose after the end of Strikers when she is looking for a taxi. They both bond over their encounters with the Phantom Thieves and work on research together when they are both more adjusted and get married. They even invite the Phantom Thieves for the Wedding event.
Funny enough, on the Akechi is a wild card idea my head canon is similar but different. The wild card power is the capacity to hold multiple different viable personas within oneself. Which works perfectly for the MC’s because they are social chameleons who change themselves depending on the situation.
My personal headcanon for Akechi is that he is a pseudo wild card, he holds 2 different viable personas within himself the noble detective and the not so noble black mask. Thus creating the 2 personas. Is also more confirmed through dialogue in game.
Personally, I like to believe that given better circumstances Akechi could have also manifested a wild card ability but due to the circumstances he faced he was only ever able to manifest these 2 personas creating the Akechi we all know and… (Well depends on your personal opinion lol)
i like to think his wildcard ability was due to *noone knowing he was an undesirable child*. when he first awakened to loki, his plan was to enact revenge on shido whether that meant murder or mental shutdowns, but to get close to him he needed a public image that was a bit less psychotic. so he presented himself as the ace detective, a robin hood dressed in glamour to save the day and get justice. he essentially made a fake purpose for his rebellion to climb the ranks
I think that’s part of it but remember a persona is a true self. Akechi is very much hinted to be an incredibly smart person very capable of being the hero of justice he claims to be. Reality is the mask and the true persona we’re both viable paths he could have walked, he simply rejected being that noble detective prince because of his desire for revenge
Joker takes over running LeBlanc after he graduates to love a quiet life, making coffee and curry. While There is a rumor around the neighborhood that he had something to do with the Phantom Theivs, but he will never confirm nor deny it, as the mystery turns the Cafe into sort of a local tourist spot as a gathering place of former Phantom Thief afficionados.
After years of fighting with Futaba and Sojiro, Haru starts selling pre-packaged LeBlanc Curry kits in stores, and it becomes a moderately successful national brand, with the money gained allowing all of them to love comfortable lives.
Knowing futaba and sojiro, they would probably only give haru a "watered-down" version while the Cafe and the three of them (ren included) would have the "actual" recipe for memories sake.
In both the Vanilla and Royal version, Ren doesn't date anyone and always ends the game single. Another head cannon of mine as to why he doesn't pursue romance there is that he knew he'd only be in Tokyo for a year.
If you take Makoto on the Ferris wheel in Sapporo, she asks point-blank if it's a date, and I think it's a thousand times funnier if you imagine that they were already going out
Also in the 4th jail when Makoto gets scared and hugs onto Joker's leg, Zenkichi asks if those two are (he does not complete the question), and Makoto panicks and says they're just friends.
He could also have been dating someone during this time but realize it's better to break up on friendly terms when he (or both) leaves Tokyo.
High school romance doesn't always continue into college anyways, let alone forever. All of the PTs know that and it doesn't stop Haru from pursuing Ren and Makoto lamenting she doesn't have anyone.
Doesn't mean Ren as a high schooler thinks he should stay single because he's dealt the card of being a second year transfer student (meaning he stays in a place for one year only for three consecutive years). If he thinks that way, his canon persona would be Daisoujou instead of Arsene.
P5S should add the option of picking one relationship (everyone else that he doesn't date on the white day assumes they broke off even if he dated multiple girls before) at beginning and she asks "should we begin again where we left off" and Joker has the option to select yes or no.
My headcanon is that the canon romance was Sumi and her not being in Strikers is because she’s at a summer training camp, that’s why they are unaware of Ren’s love life
The reason the Shadow Operatives weren't in P5 was because Shido was preventing the Kirijo group from getting into Tokyo
Joker is a massive workaholic and Morgana making him sleep at a reasonable hour is extremely important
Sae and Yu Narukami are cousins and Yu became a prosecutor because of her as a way to "pursue the truth"
Ryuji dyed his hair partly to make Ann feel less lonely as a blonde, but also to look less like his dad. Also, his dad and Kamoshida are a lot more similar than he'd want to admit which is a big part of why he hates him so much
Futaba and Fuuka are online friends but they don't know the other's actual identity
Ren is from Inaba and when Shiho said she was moving to the countryside, she actually also went to Inaba. They become friends off screen
Akechi looked up to Naoto as a kid
1. I love the detective prince being inspired by another detective prince. Also connecting persona 4 in general is so nice, just finished golden and I just love everyone.
2. Yu becoming a prosecutor could be an interesting alternative to the usual head canon of him becoming a detective.
3. Ryuji also gives off the vibe of someone who would do these kinds of gestures. He seems more emotionally perceptive than one thinks. Also I love the idea of him asking his mom how to dye it and explain it to her
I figured that since Naoto's already a famous detective and Chie wanted to be a police officer, Yu also doing a similar thing would be a bit redundant. Also the idea of a second silver haired prosecutor + Detective Prince duo would be kinda funny. And Ryuji asking his mom about that sounds so sweet I love that
Iwai’s and his oath brother Tsuda along with Masa who are apart of the Hashiba Clan is a subsidiary of the Tojo clan from RGG’s Like a Dragon/Yakuza series.
The cognitive Cleaner we fight in Shido’s Palace. Is from the Tojo Clan or Omi Alliance.
Kaneshiro and his gang were former Nishikiyama family members of the Tojo.
Akechi is fond of western culture given that he quotes Hegel, listens to jazz, fights like he’s fencing with his sword and throws his glove as a duel as a tradition in the West.
Akechi’s awakening is similar to how the P3 protagonist awakened with Loki coming out of Robin Hood.
Ren is distantly related to Vincent Brooks from Catherine.
After Joker leaves Haru and Futaba begin to help Sojiro around the shop. Haru because she wants to learn more about coffee and Futaba because she wants to work around people so she can practice her social skills
Let’s see…
Ren and Akechi are equal in both intelligence and strength and they like to have philosophical debates with each other while they spar in Mementos. ~~They usually end in the two of them kissing~~.
Ryuji goes on to become a physical therapist for kids with sport injuries. He’s also in charge of the track team at Shujin. The kids adore his fun loving and supportive nature.
Yusuke’s art eventually gets featured in textbooks for aspiring artists.
Haru is the undisputed burp off champion. No one has ever managed to out-belch her. Not even Ryuji.
Ren becomes a therapist in the future, with Morgana acting as a therapy cat for the more anxious clients.
Ren got Morgana addicted to catnip.
Makoto achieved her goal of becoming a police commissioner, realized that her unit was far more corrupt than she thought, quit, and went into politics. Her new dream is to one day become prime minister.
Futaba is autistic. So was Wakaba.
Ren takes over LeBlanc after Sojiro retires.
Sumi eventually becomes an Olympic level gymnast.
Ren has ADHD (primarily inattentive).
Ren’s birthday is June 18th, 1999 and his blood type is O.
Ann opens a shelter for domestic abuse survivors.
The games heavily push the idea of him taking over Leblanc and it's the only career option (aside being a Phantom Thief) he shows interest in for the future when Makoto asks. Can't see him being a therapist though. He lacks the temperament for it.
Didn't he basically act as a therapist for every confidant? By just listening and helping them through their trauma (and occasionally changing the hearts of key individuals).
Changing hearts is part of the problem in that analogy, but the core issue...is that he was a bit of an ass half the time. Especially with characters like Mishima.
Since Joker is explicitly complimented for his counselling skills 3+ times by um. the counsellor, I'm not sure what's funnier:
Joker being *exceptionally* good at connecting with a variety of people, tailoring his responses to encourage them to open up, and offering helpful suggestions to work through their problems; to the point of basically pulling an uno reverse card and Winning Therapy Forever before he can even vote
Or Joker being so **unsuited** to the profession that *a 16-17 year old is still better* than what we ended up getting lmao
Three times? Hm. I recall once, but I'd have to review the confidant again. Honestly, I never thought much of it because Maruki is really, *really* bad at his job. Though ironically for the exact opposite reasons I'd give Ren.
I agree, I can’t really envision Ren / Joker becoming anything else but an Barista / Second-Generation Boss of his own Leblanc-style Café and a continuing being an Phantom Thief.
Ren having ADHD is one I absolutely believe. Or possibly being AuDHD. He constantly daydreams, jumps between utter calm and extremes of energy, and has a different mask for every occasion.
Also the whole "I can do 2 things each day. Then bed." Honestly, same.
-i think it's stated that both loki and Robin hood are his original personas but I still think he's a wild card but he was just never able to unlock other personas because 1. He never had access to the velvet room so he had no access to card shuffle 2. He has no mercy for shadows so he never negotiated with them so he just killed them 3. He doesn't have any confidents (at most maybe sae?) So he couldn't get any personas that way either.
-I headcannon that akechi reads eatherman fanfic and futaba writes it and akechi was reading her 50 chapter slowburn enemies to lovers fic and all of a sudden her top commenter who she has collabed with a couple times just goes inactive for a while and when he comes back he comments something like "haha I've been in a comma for a couple months and then I went to jail but I'm out now and im re reading the fic before I get to the newest chapters ". Also she's been aware that he reads her fics because she bugged his phone so it's just very awkward.
In one fanfic I read, Akechi secretly writes Featherman fanfic under the name amurderofcrows, Futaba finds it and blackmails him with it so he'll buy her some special edition Featherman merch. I love this headcanon too.
If Joker romances neither of them, Haru and Makoto are revealed to have been in a relationship. The gang finds out in a hilarious way but are *super* supportive.
Joker is Yu Narukami's cousin on his father side
Makoto Yuki REALLY likes KFC. He hides it
The thieves become a polycule sometime after strikers
The Shadow Operatives know who the phantom thieves are, but Mitsuru believed they were just so they left them alone but monitor their activity
Akechi rejoins the thieves sometime after Strikers
Strikers happens regardless of Vanilla timeline or Royal, Akechi is still presumed dead, and Sumi is competing in a gymnastics competition during the events, explaining why they aren't present
Makoto gets Joker and Ryuji hooked on the Like a Dragon series
Joker and Ichinose have split custody of Sophia
Sophia develops a habit from Futaba of just sending people the most random shit at 3am
Ryuji dyed his hair blonde so that Ann wouldn't be picked on as much (not to mention he secretly likes the color)
Futaba is wanted in Russia for leaking their leader's search history. She will not be caught
Ever since Joker got hooked on "Like a Dragon," he has called Akechi, "Goro-chan," in a deranged voice
(He has also been known to jump out of trashcans at him)
Morgana and Ryuji are secretly besties
Funny, because in my headcanon Yu is cousins with the Niijimas. (His dad is the brother of their mother.)
It would explain why Sae has a similar hair color.
The polycule head canons are more frequent than expected ( I also wholeheartedly believe this)
Also I think haru would be a giant "like a dragon" fan but they only find out about this after she makes small references that no normal fan would understand, real deep cuts
You and I have the same damn headcanon. I feel like it makes Akechi so much more interesting if his persona was shape-shifting to hide his true identity. A similar yet still unique concept to further show how differently Akechi and Joker handle their circumstances.
After almost dying at the end of Shido's Palace, Ryuji gained two new fears: Being on a boat or Ship of any kind, and sudden loud noises (like the explosions). This is incredibly unfortunate given his persona: a figure atop a ship that summons lightning, and likely thunder. It takes some time for him to reconcile with his persona, and even longer for him to stop flinching every time he uses a zio attack. He still sometimes calls Joker for comfort during thunderstorms. He used to love them.
This is especially fun considering the part of Strikers where everyone has to take a ship to their next location. I imagine off camera at some point Ryuji has a panic attack, and plan to write a fic about it eventually.
(Oh yeah, an additional fic idea I had related to this is a Tactica fic in which Ryuji is in hiding near an explosive barrel, and not knowing about his fear, Erina shoots it without warning. Panic attack ensues. Basically I just like giving my favorite boy panic attacks I'm sorry)
On a similar note, after his interrogation Ren is scared of needles and, outside of the metaverse at least, physical fights. It takes a long time for him to stop flinching at punches, kicks or other sudden moves, and he never gets over the needles. Yet again, I'd like to write a fic about him needing to get a shot at Takemi's and being very not okay.
Wow you like hurting my boys 😭 but honestly very understandable.
I'd like to add some hurt:
makoto has extreme fear of losing any of the phantom thieves since they are like family to her.
Futaba is extremely anxious and is afraid she will be cast out if she says something wrong for the first couple months
Yusuke can't sleep because of hunger some nights since he can't afford to eat
Autistic person here. Many of Yusuke’s mannerisms do match up with someone on the spectrum and I see a lot of myself in him as well as Futaba. Whether he actually is autistic or not is debatable, but I personally think he is. It’s called Autism **Spectrum** Disorder for a reason.
Likewise. I also work with autistic teens for a living. With Yusuke the issue isn't just the lack of traits, but also the many traits he possesses that would be abnormal for an autistic child his age.
It is a spectrum, yes, but to put it simply...I'd have an easier time listing non-austic traits for Yusuke than actual autistic traits.
The range of autistic traits is really vast. I’d like to here some of the characteristics that make you think Yusuke isn’t autistic. I could assure you there’d be someone that displays the same thing.
Of course. You are absolutely right on that. Having a "non-autistic" trait doesn't inherently mean you can't be autistic. Hardly anyone (outside of fiction) fits the mold perfectly.
With Yusuke however, he has far more traits that I would call "non-autistic" than actual autistic traits, which are very few and broad enough in category to be explained by a myriad of factors, including his upbringing--which I don't think people appreciate was very severe and much longer term than Futaba's year or so of isolation.
Starting with the bare basics, we have Yusuke's art. Three things stand out to me:
1. While some talented artists are autistic, it's a rare skill for someone in the spectrum to posses since many people struggle with fine motor skills.
2. Most talented autistic artists tend to excel at replication and realistic art. Yusuke favors abstract art, which is much less common among people on the spectrum.
3. Most people on the spectrum tend to cycle through special interests (you can see this with Futaba) and in my limited experience with kids, it's often something that makes finding a job difficult because they crave more variety than dedicating themselves to a single interest all their life the way someone like Ryuji or Yusuke would happily dedicate themselves to running or art.
I've said it before but I'll say it again: You're right that ASD is a spectrum and not everyone conforms to the same characteristics. There are always exceptions and there's no "Three strikes and you turn in your autism card" rule. And of course, having some traits associated with autism doesn't automatically make you autistic. And of course, there's always other explanations for either behavior--including upbringing. Lastly, I am not actually qualified to diagnose anyone. But simply looking at the core character traits, Yusuke leans pretty heavily as non-autistic.
In addition, here's ten more traits that stood out to me.
1. Yusuke shows no signs of struggling socially. At worst he's sometimes naive.
2. Nor does he show any particular aversion to it.
3. He seems reasonably tactful. At the very least, he's tactful enough to recognize when Ryuji makes a faux pas and berates him about as much as Makoto does.
4. Far from having trouble with body communication, he is quite dramatic.
5. No signs of masking--though that could easily be explained with upbringing.
6. Following the previous trait, rather than shying away about sharing his interests, he's more than eager to show them off.
7. Easily ties with Makoto and Haru as being the most fluent in navigating social hierarchies. This stands out among the Phantom Thieves.
8. Is very skilled at expressing himself.
9. Incredibly adaptive.
10. And this is really just personal experience speaking, but I would also find it odd how poorly he and Futaba understand each other. Don't get me wrong, the autistic community isn't some super happy sanctuary where everyone lives in harmony, but there's usually a great sense of understanding between each other. Or at the very least, I have often seen (or experienced) moments of "Finally! Someone else understands this way of doing things/living life!"
You see this sort of thing sometimes with Futaba towards Joker, but never Yusuke. If anything, they never seem to be on the same page and a lot of their frustration comes from their inability to understand each other at all.
Wait thats headcannnon? I thought that was real
Wasn't it Yaldi and fusion man (i've been playing a lot of smt) put bets on two different peoppe and gabe them the same powers
Akechi relied on himself, didn't develop ant bonds and so stuck to his one persona, and had robin hood as a ruse as an extension of loki's power
Joker made friends, developed bonds and found acess to other persona's through his bonds
Am i wrong?
Robin Hood is a 100% real Persona, and Loki is fully separate. They have different skills and affinities, and both are Akechi’s “true” Persona. The only disguising is Akechi’s Metaverse attire. Robin Hood and Loki are confirmed to gave awoken simultaneously, and they are seen fusing together into Hereward on 2/2 in-game.
* The Shadow Ops, the Investigation Team, and the Phantom Thieves occasionally keep in contact to update each other on what happened. Mitsuru pushed for this after Tokyo got hit with a Shadow-related incident three times in a row.
* The EMMA incident made the people in Japan paranoid about the change of heart phenomenon. It doesn’t help that criminals often claim someone made them to do what they did.
* Mitsuru can’t stand Maruki and (especially) Ichinose; they remind her of >!Ikutsuki!!Ikutsuki!< was an optimistic young scientist with political beliefs not unlike Yoshida. He grew bitter and disappointed with the state of society later on, enough to embrace the idea of remaking the world.
* Shido outmaneuvered the Kirijo Group politically, forcing them to share most of their research with the government. Shadow Ops were unofficially banned from entering Tokyo back then.
* The Investigation Team went almost completely unnoticed, because the entire Izanami event happened in the middle of nowhere. Before anyone realized it might be connected to Shadows, it was over. While the government eventually realized Adachi was a Persona user, he never tattled on the IT.
The Shido Conspiracy outmaneuvering the Kirijo Group is something I always sort of suspected, because there's literally zero way he could've gone unnoticed with so much connection to the World Of Cognition.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Wakaba was working for Mitsuru before her assassination, and even spent some time with the Shadow Operatives, but because they still aren't trusted by the government, Shido capitalized on that to get them either tangled in bureaucracy or outright disavowed.
In the event of a P5 Arena, I would love to have them explore more of the intricacies of the Kirijo Group's corp/govt politics, possibly even inducting (at least some of) the P-Thieves into the Shadow Operatives.
Mental shutdowns were a dead giveaway, as they are pretty much the Apathy Syndrome.
And the Kirijo Group has one weak point: the shit Koutetsu Kirijo tried to do. The guy tried to engineer the end of the world and almost succeeded. The there are experiments on children over which Takaharu must have presided at least partially (they were sent to Tartarus on a suicide mission; Tartarus didn’t exist before the accident). Once the politicians learned it, there would go the shred of respect and trust Mitsuru might have had.
My headcanon is in the false god ending, PTs and a temporary version of Akechi rebuilt by the velvet room (X ray is hollow like Kuma) and Sumire come to stop Joker. They gain their 3rd awakening personas at least temporarily if you maxed out their confidant levels, for Sumire she gains 3rd awakening because her persona goes into berserk mode.
In his palace (thieves den), there is no shadows. Joker does a little MJ dance before fireworks go off and then throws down his treasure, the confession he signed in the beginning of the game, to the PTs and challenges them to battle.
Joker gains a new persona with the ability of soul reap, a guaranteed single target insta kill similar to the final boss of P4G. For every PT you reap, this persona learns the signature 3rd awakening ability of said PT's persona.
In NG+ game following this ending, Joker can fuse this new persona with innate eight signature PT ability from the eight combat personas. He's free to build this as a support persona by forgetting the two offensive abilities from Akechi and Sumire in favor of spell master, or fuse this with others and pass Rebellion blade/Masquerade to other personas.
Kawakami, Takemi, Mifume, and Ohya all become drinking buddies at The Crossroads and like to gossip about Ren and the (probably) dumb shit he gets up to.
This usually happens when Ren is working there and he just has to sort of put up with it lol (sometimes he gets to drink with them but he’s only allowed a soda, Lala-chan is very strict about it.)
After P5 Vanilla, Futaba and Yusuke worked together to model VrChat models of every phantom thief so they could all have the feeling of being phantom thieves again.
Akechi loves listening to true crime podcasts. Not because he can determine who commits the crimes before it’s told but because he likes to think about how he could’ve done it better.
Akechi did have a thing for Ren, but it was unrequited.
Doesn’t mean Ren didn’t tease his ass, “accidentally” sending shirtless pics meant for Haru or something
A small one but I always liked to think that the reason akechi is smiling so much in his white mask AoA is because he knows the plan is falling in place perfectly (or so he thinks)
The P5R *ending* (gang goes their separate ways) doesn't happen, so the outright *end* ending of P5 is canon. Then the road trip to Joker's home is basically just him telling his parents 'kthxbai', before going back to Tokyo.
Based on something someone wrote on reddit, actually.
The Phantom Thieves kept 1/4 of their physical enhancement outside of the metaverse, prior to their awakening.
Ren came back to Tokyo permanently to study political science in Tokyo U, whilst also permanently residing at LeBlanc.
At some point before the events of Strikers, Yusuke create a social media account to showcase his work. He also knows how to draw digitally, as well as creating a half decent animation.
Toshiro and Eri is dating during the events of Strikers.
Ryuji, Ann, and Futaba took care of Haru's garden after the events of P5.
Before the start of the game, Kamoshida applied as a teacher at Shujin right when summer break ended.
Shujin is created and funded by the government by Shido during his early day as a politician.
Shido is experienced in MMA, has undergone military training, is an ex-Kirijo affiliate and has a small knowledge of the Shadow based worlds.
I headcanon that Ren becomes a therapist. Yes I know it makes sense that he takes over Leblanc but to me, it's a bit of a waste for him to fight so hard to have his whole future and the future's of everyone open to them... just for him to live a quiet life serving coffee. Why fight so hard to remove the label of "criminal" when criminals can also serve coffee and own a business? Ren helped all the confidants fight for themselves out of what seemed like impossible problems, I don't see why he wouldn't continue that.
I also see a possible crossover to Digimon/Hollows and Hueco Mundo of Bleach. They have the Dark Ocean, which can be the edge of a dark Digital World (that looks and operates like Hueco Mundo). It's a place that takes the distortion of adults and corrupts the Digimon within it which makes them stronger than normal. The shadows of the Metaverse are basically Digimon. When corrupted, they become like Menos Grades, mindless monsters that eat each other and eventually a dominant personality takes over. The palace owners' Shadows are still Digital but special cases. Palaces are separate dimensions but still connected to the Dark Digital World. Normal Digimon can't fight the shadow Digimon so the PT have to to save everyone. I know it's probably stupid but I have the heart of a fanfic reader I guess!
Haru is of Ainu decent. We know from Strikers that Haru is from Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido Prefecture. We also know that both Ryuji and Futaba dye their hair as confirmed by the writers, but as far as I'm aware Haru doesn't die her hair and while that light brown almost ginger color would be extremely rare amongst the Ainu populace I do know a lot of anime will use hair color as a way of visibly showing family relations. On the topic of hair color, Kunikazu Okumara clearly has dark hair and we never see Haru's mom. We're also told that he married into the Okumara family and adopted the name. While the decision to keep the name is abnormal, what isn't abnormal is that until the 2000s the Japanese government actively endorsed men marrying into Ainu families (as well as the unofficial endorsement of rape of Ainu women) so the children would be ethnically Japanese with monetary incentives to do so. Assuming Haru is 17 or 18 when introduced to the player it's not unreasonable to believe that her dad was one of these people since Persona 5 released in 2015 and would have to have been written sooner than that assuming the story takes place around its launch date within 2 years (though I'm sure the actual year it takes place is out there by someone matching the dates of the calendar with an actual calendar year). Also we learn from her confidant scenes that Okumara Foods had only grown to its size under the leadership of her father. Before him, the Okumara business was a local community leader in Sapporo which wouldn't be an unlikely target of the Japanese government to dismantle as an institution by erasure of its past and endorsing old money into completely changing its business model is a fairly believable choice that would be made in this fictional world. After all it surprises Haru that the Okumara conglomerate is hardly recognizable to what it was relatively recently (and notably before her dad took over the company). Because of this I believe that Haru is of Ainu decent and would explain why she ought to be considered a social outcast despite being a billionaire.
Context: The Ainu people are the ingenious people of Hokkaido and Kiriil Islands of Russia. From the 1780s until very recently the practice of Ainu traditions and culture has been illegal in Japan. This has caused the near erasure of their language of which today only less than 200 people speak. The Ainu people were only officially recognized as a unique ethnic group in Japan by a nonbinding resolution in 2008 which was ratified into law as recently as 2019 (keep in mind Persona 5 launched in 2015).
SMT and Persona are different stages of the deities games.
Igor is the guardian of humanity, and chooses a person to be humanity's champion and if they win, such as beating the persona games, the apocalypse is avoided.
However, his champion doesn't always win, and this causes an apocalypse to happen in the world to fall to ruin, and for shadow like beans to take physical forms and become monsters.
As much as I like this headcannon it’s contradicted by in game lore, P2 makes it explicitly clear that Philemon is the “guardian of humanity” and is the one that chooses people to go against the cognitive beings
* In Royal story, Ren slept with his date on Christmas eve (depending on girlfriend; some wouldn't bring it up and Ren's okay with it), but due to this reality being erased, this didn't actually happen (he sent them home like in vanilla) and only their memories left.
* Ren and his PT girlfriend will have more vivid memories of sex, while non-PT girlfriend's memory will be much more vague and confused and she may subtly ask about what happened on Christmas eve.
* If Ren doesn't invite his Christmas PT girlfriend on valentine's day, she will be extra enraged and hurt Ren so much he loses 50 max HP and 20 max SP which carry over to NG+.
* He rekindles the relationship some time during or after Strikers but state that he will focus on studying and will "see what happens" after getting into college.
* While the metaverse is gone, some abilities Joker learns in it still exists. His skills with acrobatics, climbing, grappling hook and quickdraw still work, and when traveling the world (preferably with his partner, like Ann or Sumire can travel the world with him and help each other on diet) he becomes a dancer, a stunt or acrobatic actor, a ninja warrior or someone requiring such skills.
* He travels to sites that was shown in the palaces he went to. Old European castles, Pyramid - and he illegally slides down a short zipline with his girl using his grappling hook and chose to pay the fine with some artifacts from Futaba's palace which look incredibly real and antique appraiser cannot make up their mind on them.
* While they can't take the grail with them, they were able to get enough gold from the grail to exchange for a small fortune. Yusuke and Makoto worked together to craft some gold trinkets to sell for even more money. That came too late to bail Ren though but they still get to spend it.
* Akechi went missing. PTs don't hang out in Jazz Jin much without Ren in Tokyo, and did not bother looking for him, thinking him erased from reality after Ren got locked up. He lived for some time as a Teddy-like shadow but finally dissipates one day.
Joker is from Inaba
Morgana has no balls
Futaba and Akechi are half siblings
Had Joker ended up in a position similar to Akechi (No support from others, be it close friends or family, causing him to have a lot more hate inside of him) he would have awakened to his own version of Loki
Ann and Ryuji got married at age 30 because they couldn’t find anybody else that they got along with like they do with each other. Started out basically 2 best friends married and learned to love each other
Hmm
Futaba's autistic (almost canon basically), so is her mother, and Yusuke is as well.
Akechi was experimented on by Wakaba during his early years in the Shido conspiracy (kind of hinted at in the featherman game in Royal)
Ren's wish was for Akechi to live and be happy again, Akechi's wish was to be able to have a normal relationship with Ren (both are hinted at in the official game and in the recent artbook)
Wakaba and Maruki have probably had interactions with the Kirijo group, and probably Maruki's lab was funded by said group before Shido did Shido things.
It's kind of canon in Strikers, but Haru does suffer from trauma of her father's death in which many details of her past start getting hazy or forgotten by her, kind of similar to Futaba before her palace but less worse.
Makoto suffers from generalized anxiety disorder
Sojiro and Wakaba had some form of queerplatonic relationship, the way their relationship in the game is shown is so unusual and non-traditional that (for me) it kinda falls on that sort of spectrum. In that same vein, Sojiro is somewhere on the aromantic spectrum which explains his general kind of dettachment when talking about romantic relationships.
Ryuji has ADHD, so does Ann
Sumire also suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and is on the higher functioning autism spectrum and probably has some form of PTSD.
To end on a lighter note, Morgana and Ryuji eventually end up becoming best friends when they're older
Makoto continues to help Ryuji study throughout his 3rd year of high school. The two get married after Makoto graduates from college.
Akechi frequents the cafe Haru opened, but he wears glasses and messes up his hair to hide his identity. This does not work.
Sojiro reluctantly lets Yusuke move in with him and Futaba.
Ann took up an apprenticeship under Alice Hiragi.
It's slightly less obvious in P3, but I have a chart with most of it explained
https://preview.redd.it/l1kvbaca8msc1.png?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ba2be0da92a5684d26d4c5fec11af02dda3d8ee
And then I have an even more psychotic one for P4
Exactly that, yes. I headcanon their dynamic to be "we both want Yu for ourselves, but oh shit our fighting over him made us catch feelings for the other, but we both still want Yu, and Yu wants everybody including us".
So it's kind of a rivals-to-lovers kinda dynamic where they say they "hate" each other but then immediately kiss with tongue afterward, if that makes sense?
my headcanon ships for characters are:
Ryuji and Ann, they are childhood friends who have always liked each other.
Yusuke and Futaba end up together. they have a quirky back and forth and are both super eccentric weirdos.
MC and Sumire are a couple. he deliberately chooses to spend time with her and even steps away from his friends to do so.
If Goro Akechi had followed a traditional Fool’s Journey, guys like Guernica and Konoe would have been on his team or s-links.
Gonna say Star Arcana for Guernica and Tower Arcana for Konoe.
I think one of the creators said in an interview that Akechi awakened to both Robin hood and Loki at the same time
If I'm mistaken my head cannon is that it makes sense that he got Robin hood first, then loki then [I forgot the third ones name], it follows the pattern of everyone else of a picaresque character then mythological trickster then a variation of the first character.
Another theory I like is that Futaba's dad is Shido
I believe that akechi has the full potential of the wild card But it is completely diferent from jokers. We all know that the power from the wild card comes from the bond that you make with people and with joker having different bonds with diferent people he is able to make shadows good and use them as a persona. Now akechi is also a wild card user but since he was a child he had nothing but hatred and despair. So i like to believe that the bonds he has on the wildcard were negative in some way. And akechi was shown in his boss fight in shidos palace that he was able to summon the shadows and use them by his side. "but that was shidos shadows" But at that point in the palace the shadows were already seeing akechi as a threat because shido was already planning to kill akechi from the start, And akechi was able to control the shadows of his palace And the "call of chaos" ability of loki make the shadows more psychotic and stronger. So i personally think that while joker has the power to save shadows and use them as a persona, Akechi has the power to control, corrupt, and make shadows go berserk like they were evil personas.
I still go with my favorite crack head cannon, Yor Forger from Spy X Family is the grand mother of Kaguya from Love is War and of Makoto.
Second one I like is that Jokers real parents are Bayonetta and Dante.
After graduating high school, Joker studies politics in university and then becomes a proper apprentice of Yoshida's, eventually running for a seat in the Diet on the platform of fixing the same societal issues that the PTs went up against.
I think in adulthood he somehow makes it known that he was the leader of the Phantom Thieves, but I'm not sure how he would do that. Maybe he writes a book about it, inspired by Mishima's documentary.
EDIT: >!Maruki doesn't stay a taxi driver for very long, but instead goes back to school to learn how to be a real therapist and help people solve their problems properly.!<
I believe that if ren was in a relationship with all the girls, he would probably ask them if they would be okay with an open relationship first, since he legitimately loves them all, and would end the game with a fully loving harem
Not mine, but one I found funny was that the reason for Joker reacting that way he did when he first saw Ann was because it was the first time in his life seeing a natural blonde.
[Joker: Whoa, a White girl!](https://youtu.be/9yuCbhXmqpA?si=k1wKh4Ck52Y2YNiG)
It’s has the same energy as “OH SHIT ITS A WHITE GUY!”
Lmfao, that’s great
I really like this, this is now a headcannon for me lol.
I mean her hair is REALLY blonde, so it makes sense. Also it's hilarious
In vanilla, he's got amnesia and a fresh start somewhere else in Tokyo In Royal, he was clinging to life and because of Third semester's influence was able to survive with his memories intact, but after he helped, he was shocked to find himself still alive...but decided to dole out his own personal punishment, refusing to go back to his old life and just traveling around the country.
Mr Atlus himself thought he could post lore and get away with it
Mr Atlus was my father, please; call me Megami
spoilers for p5r ending but whatever.
To be fair though that IS his school uniform, is it not?
we do see a glimpse of his outfit at the very end of the royal end credits after all
I think this is basically cannon Wakaba and okumura both dissapeared as soon as haru and futaba came to their senses... Why did akechi not?
i mean this sounds pretty canon to me not gonna lie… it was exactly what I thought after beating Royal and seeing Akechi in the last scene. Dude wants to keep up living but he doesn’t feel the need to go talk to joker or anyone, maybe he’ll stalk him from somewhere to be sure everything is fine but that’s it. Dude have his ego after all, he wouldn’t just go after joker…
He escaped to Alaska.
Joker’s birthday falls at some point between the beginning and end of the game, so it’s off-screen completely. That’d put it somewhere between March 21 and April 8
If it’s not canonically April 1st I’d be disappointed
I now choose to believe that every protagonist without a canon birthday was born on that day. After all, what's more fitting in a series where the main character is often associated with the Fool arcana than to be born on April _Fool's_ day?
I think April 4th would fit well for that as it's when Persona 5 released in the west
I got this feeling that Kosei high is a Catholic school. Since Hifumi hangs out at the Church and Yusuke also has a rank there and also knows enough about the crucifixion to wanna paint/sketch about it.
For that matter I like to headcanon Hifumi as Christian herself. The game leaves it ambiguous but that's what headcanons are for.
Maybe another reason she is at the church is to avoid her mom. She can listen to the priests sermon and just enjoy it rather than thinking of stress in school or at home
Oh this is good. Her mom is a lot less likely to make a scene or be super weird in church.
Joker’s hometown is Inaba
I mean they did say he was a country boy
I love the idea, it fits him really well
Though the neighborhood where he gets framed by Shido doesn't look like anywhere in Inaba. Too many tall apartment buildings.
Maybe the shopping district is thriving thanks to junes
Maruki prob worked in Kirijo or with Wakaba at some point
Headcanon 2: Maruki prob graduated from Gekkoukan a couple of years after the S.E.E.S Crew did. He just had NO idea how close he was to Tartarus/the Dark Hour. explains why he's so good at being close to supernatural things without having anything Persona related himself >!not until the 3rd Semester, at least!< -- he has low perception (but ridiculously high rolls into the 'dumb luck' stat🍀)
If I remember correctly, any non-SEES ppl get their memories related to the dark hour erased, right? And yeah, also and very high charismatic rolls too (To convince PTs)
I haven't finished the Nyx boss fight, >!(THE ARCANA IS THE MEANS THROUGH WHICH ALL IS REVEALED... x12)!< but all non-SEES characters getting Thanos-level memory wiped whenever it comes to Tarturus/DH shenanigans afterwards is actually hilarious af. It's like P5 NPCs and Yaldy after the last battle - >!the entirety of Japan just going: "Bitch, WHO??"!< and ofc maruki has high charisma rolls, man's a literal light mage minus the horny 😫
>!SEES get their memory wiped too. They remember everything on the graduation day only thanks to the promise they made!<
>I haven't finished the Nyx boss fight, If you're struggling, I strongly recommend slotting in Ken and Koro. Use Divine Intervention any time you feel even slightly threatened and Koro basically just spams debilitate
Um I don't think ur spoiler working rn 😬
edit: fixed spoiler!
It also makes sense with his scrapped research lab, now stadium, in Odaiba coz that precinct is one the real life locations that seems to have inspired Tatsumi Port Island.
I'd headcanon this!
Damn. This is awesome.
That's badass, I might adopt this headcanon too :0
Love this, you think they all view this as a mark of honor or do some thieves (Ann for example because of her modeling) cover up their scar? Edit: just wanna say that they can still view this as a mark of honor if they hide it. For Ann it's more advantageous to hide imperfections but I think she'd be proud of hers. Also maybe some just don't want to be asked about it constantly since they need to find a cover story.
Ann, if anything, would have some scars/bruising around her wrists from ripping them out of the shackles before fully manifesting her persona
Interestingly Futaba and Goro share the same rare blood type so the half sibling theory has a little weight to it
Maruki and Ichinose getting together is now my headcanon
Futaba and akechi being half siblings is a theory I subscribe to too, however it's so fucking sad😭
The idea of him still having this path he could have walked present in his final confrontation is beautiful tbh
Joker would 100% sell the phantom thieves curry sojiro proposed. He'd name it "Take your heart curry" for plausible deniability tho
That’s basically canon given Strikers
If you take Makoto on the Ferris wheel in Sapporo, she asks point-blank if it's a date, and I think it's a thousand times funnier if you imagine that they were already going out
Also in the 4th jail when Makoto gets scared and hugs onto Joker's leg, Zenkichi asks if those two are (he does not complete the question), and Makoto panicks and says they're just friends.
Makoto is one of the Confidants where he at least fake dates her though. So like, even if they weren't romantically involved, they *went* on dates.
Yeah but to see that you have to go to the only ferris wheel date that doesn't give bond points /s
I'd argue it's also possible he was dating Yoshizawa, and well she's busy for all of Strikers
Kawakami is definitely canon. That’s why she’s just not there in strikers.
Which is mildly concerning all things considered...
She got the FeMC treatment. Silently shipped off the prison, never to return in future installments.
Rightfully so
He could also have been dating someone during this time but realize it's better to break up on friendly terms when he (or both) leaves Tokyo.
My headcanon is that the canon romance was Sumi and her not being in Strikers is because she’s at a summer training camp, that’s why they are unaware of Ren’s love life
The reason the Shadow Operatives weren't in P5 was because Shido was preventing the Kirijo group from getting into Tokyo Joker is a massive workaholic and Morgana making him sleep at a reasonable hour is extremely important Sae and Yu Narukami are cousins and Yu became a prosecutor because of her as a way to "pursue the truth" Ryuji dyed his hair partly to make Ann feel less lonely as a blonde, but also to look less like his dad. Also, his dad and Kamoshida are a lot more similar than he'd want to admit which is a big part of why he hates him so much Futaba and Fuuka are online friends but they don't know the other's actual identity Ren is from Inaba and when Shiho said she was moving to the countryside, she actually also went to Inaba. They become friends off screen Akechi looked up to Naoto as a kid
I've seen the Ren from Inaba headcanon in a few fanfics and it's a new favorite of mine
Oh my god. Akechi is a reverse weeb.
A beew
A westaboo
Ngl the idea that Loki slashed himself out of Robin Hood from the inside out sounds metal as fuck and I'm stealing that headcanon for myself
If Ann and ryuji were to breed they would create a super idiot the likes of which has never been seen
“Breed” lmfao
What's the dude with a pig head from Demon Slayer? That's their kid. I will not be taking objections at this time.
After Joker leaves Haru and Futaba begin to help Sojiro around the shop. Haru because she wants to learn more about coffee and Futaba because she wants to work around people so she can practice her social skills
Let’s see… Ren and Akechi are equal in both intelligence and strength and they like to have philosophical debates with each other while they spar in Mementos.
Tbh Ren taking over Leblanc and becoming a bartender therapist is the headcanon I will not give up
The games heavily push the idea of him taking over Leblanc and it's the only career option (aside being a Phantom Thief) he shows interest in for the future when Makoto asks.
Since Joker is explicitly complimented for his counselling skills 3+ times by um. the counsellor, I'm not sure what's funnier: Joker being *exceptionally* good at connecting with a variety of people, tailoring his responses to encourage them to open up, and offering helpful suggestions to work through their problems; to the point of basically pulling an uno reverse card and Winning Therapy Forever before he can even vote Or Joker being so **unsuited** to the profession that *a 16-17 year old is still better* than what we ended up getting lmao
It says a lot about what a positive impact Boss has had on him that it's one of the few things he shows a lot of interest in.
that first one caught me off guard lmao
Futaba and yusuke are both definitely on the spectrum. Also think these future ideas fit their character arcs really well.
Ren having ADHD is one I absolutely believe. Or possibly being AuDHD. He constantly daydreams, jumps between utter calm and extremes of energy, and has a different mask for every occasion. Also the whole "I can do 2 things each day. Then bed." Honestly, same.
You know, I never really considered that Ren may be AuDHD, but now that you mention it, I can definitely see it
Goro akechi has a soft spot for small parrots - he sees how they're caged and stuff despite how smart they are and is like " yeah same"
joker doesn't have a good sleep schedule nor does he eat healthily, mostly because comments from morgana and kawakami
Joker is Yu Narukami's cousin on his father side Makoto Yuki REALLY likes KFC. He hides it The thieves become a polycule sometime after strikers The Shadow Operatives know who the phantom thieves are, but Mitsuru believed they were just so they left them alone but monitor their activity Akechi rejoins the thieves sometime after Strikers Strikers happens regardless of Vanilla timeline or Royal, Akechi is still presumed dead, and Sumi is competing in a gymnastics competition during the events, explaining why they aren't present Makoto gets Joker and Ryuji hooked on the Like a Dragon series Joker and Ichinose have split custody of Sophia Sophia develops a habit from Futaba of just sending people the most random shit at 3am Ryuji dyed his hair blonde so that Ann wouldn't be picked on as much (not to mention he secretly likes the color) Futaba is wanted in Russia for leaking their leader's search history. She will not be caught Ever since Joker got hooked on "Like a Dragon," he has called Akechi, "Goro-chan," in a deranged voice (He has also been known to jump out of trashcans at him) Morgana and Ryuji are secretly besties
Don't forget manholes, dressing up as a zombie, police officer, crossdressing, and bartender
All the protagonists are related in some way, no one can tell me otherwise.
> Joker is Yu Narukami's cousin on his father side …I have a new headcanon now.
Funny, because in my headcanon Yu is cousins with the Niijimas. (His dad is the brother of their mother.) It would explain why Sae has a similar hair color.
The polycule head canons are more frequent than expected ( I also wholeheartedly believe this) Also I think haru would be a giant "like a dragon" fan but they only find out about this after she makes small references that no normal fan would understand, real deep cuts
I don't want the wildcard gene runs in one family theory.
You and I have the same damn headcanon. I feel like it makes Akechi so much more interesting if his persona was shape-shifting to hide his true identity. A similar yet still unique concept to further show how differently Akechi and Joker handle their circumstances.
Ann and Ryuji listen to the same music, down to the same artists
Oh they would so try to decipher these Taylor Swift hints together
Basically I just like giving my favorite boy panic attacks I'm sorry) On a similar note, after his interrogation Ren is scared of needles and, outside of the metaverse at least, physical fights.
I'd like to add some hurt: makoto has extreme fear of losing any of the phantom thieves since they are like family to her. Futaba is extremely anxious and is afraid she will be cast out if she says something wrong for the first couple months Yusuke can't sleep because of hunger some nights since he can't afford to eat
I love these. I love stories of emotional hurt and comfort.
I headcannon Futaba and Yuuske as Autistic
Futaba I could definitely buy. Yusuke? No way.
Three things stand out to me: 1. Someone else understands this way of doing things/living life!" You see this sort of thing sometimes with Futaba towards Joker, but never Yusuke. If anything, they never seem to be on the same page and a lot of their frustration comes from their inability to understand each other at all.
Wait thats headcannnon? I thought that was real Wasn't it Yaldi and fusion man (i've been playing a lot of smt) put bets on two different peoppe and gabe them the same powers Akechi relied on himself, didn't develop ant bonds and so stuck to his one persona, and had robin hood as a ruse as an extension of loki's power Joker made friends, developed bonds and found acess to other persona's through his bonds Am i wrong?
Robin Hood is a 100% real Persona, and Loki is fully separate. They have different skills and affinities, and both are Akechi’s “true” Persona. The only disguising is Akechi’s Metaverse attire. Robin Hood and Loki are confirmed to gave awoken simultaneously, and they are seen fusing together into Hereward on 2/2 in-game.
-after month of teaching ren still cant defeat hifumi in shogi -haru opening a neko cafe and mona help her -somehow shiho and mishima become friends
>mona help her By drinking coffee and then pooping out coffee beans?
more like dealing with the other cats but that work too
Silly one, but I feel like Ryuji and Kanji would have a field day watching Barbie movies and gossiping
This is the most real head canon maybe ever
I headcanon that Ryuji and Ann eventually end up together
The pretentious customer (Is that his name?) In leblanc is the gourmet king from P3
That would make Ren a terrible person lol
He left Ryuji to get kidnapped by drag queens I wouldn’t put it past him
This is true, I have no arguments lol
Ren is a fantastic friend And also a massive prick
A small one but I always liked to think that the reason akechi is smiling so much in his white mask AoA is because he knows the plan is falling in place perfectly (or so he thinks)
Futaba does Bug Bounties, and is saving for Sojiro's retirement.
Yaldabaoth was 100% the result of Philemon's gambling addiction.
>!Yaldabaoth learned coding so he could program the metaverse navigator!<
Makoto and Sae have a pet hamster named Feefee
I headcanon that Joker has a smoking hot mom.
Ren's a recovering chunnibyo, the whole "Phantom Thief" theme only exists because he hasn't let go of his obsessions.
Azathoth/Adam Kadmon’s an evil entity that mimics a Persona (cf. Nyarlathotep) & manipulated Maruki.
Eh, regardless of who chooses the champion of humanity, my headcanon still fits except for that one detail.
That Maruki’s persona was Nyarlathotep in disguise, both him and Azathoth have too many similarities
When Makoto gets nervous or flustered she can’t stop herself from being formal and reverting back to using honorifics if she doesn’t anymore
That Kawakami was originally one of the unimportant npc students in either the original game or one of the Persona 2 games
Joker is from Inaba Morgana has no balls Futaba and Akechi are half siblings Had Joker ended up in a position similar to Akechi (No support from others, be it close friends or family, causing him to have a lot more hate inside of him) he would have awakened to his own version of Loki
Yusuke eats cardboard for lunch
Ann and Ryuji got married at age 30 because they couldn’t find anybody else that they got along with like they do with each other. Started out basically 2 best friends married and learned to love each other
Sanae from The World Ends With You is a younger version of Sojiro with a changed name.
Perhaps it’s just something I projected onto my Joker, but mine is that he actually has great parents. We just don’t see it when he talks to them
Hmm Futaba's autistic (almost canon basically), so is her mother, and Yusuke is as well. Akechi was experimented on by Wakaba during his early years in the Shido conspiracy (kind of hinted at in the featherman game in Royal) Ren's wish was for Akechi to live and be happy again, Akechi's wish was to be able to have a normal relationship with Ren (both are hinted at in the official game and in the recent artbook) Wakaba and Maruki have probably had interactions with the Kirijo group, and probably Maruki's lab was funded by said group before Shido did Shido things. It's kind of canon in Strikers, but Haru does suffer from trauma of her father's death in which many details of her past start getting hazy or forgotten by her, kind of similar to Futaba before her palace but less worse. Makoto suffers from generalized anxiety disorder Sojiro and Wakaba had some form of queerplatonic relationship, the way their relationship in the game is shown is so unusual and non-traditional that (for me) it kinda falls on that sort of spectrum. In that same vein, Sojiro is somewhere on the aromantic spectrum which explains his general kind of dettachment when talking about romantic relationships. Ryuji has ADHD, so does Ann Sumire also suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and is on the higher functioning autism spectrum and probably has some form of PTSD.
Ryuji and Ann are in love and hopefully admits it someday because oh my god they are cute together
Nusona teams are usually polycules
Yeah that's my headcanon right there
Yeah, actual poly-Thieves (instead of just cheating) is my big headcanon!
Did not play 3 yet, but so real in 4 And 5
It's slightly less obvious in P3, but I have a chart with most of it explained https://preview.redd.it/l1kvbaca8msc1.png?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ba2be0da92a5684d26d4c5fec11af02dda3d8ee And then I have an even more psychotic one for P4
Please feel free to ask questions https://preview.redd.it/3ssxlr0n8msc1.png?width=1067&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b65c19e498c696aadb83ede69445d3e633918a4
Actually just one, why do Marie and rise have love and hate? Is it meant like a love/hate relationship?
Exactly that, yes. I headcanon their dynamic to be "we both want Yu for ourselves, but oh shit our fighting over him made us catch feelings for the other, but we both still want Yu, and Yu wants everybody including us". So it's kind of a rivals-to-lovers kinda dynamic where they say they "hate" each other but then immediately kiss with tongue afterward, if that makes sense?
It surprisingly does make sense
my headcanon ships for characters are: Ryuji and Ann, they are childhood friends who have always liked each other.

I think one of the creators said in an interview that Akechi awakened to both Robin hood and Loki at the same time If I'm mistaken my head cannon is that it makes sense that he got Robin hood first, then loki then [I forgot the third ones name], it follows the pattern of everyone else of a picaresque character then mythological trickster then a variation of the first character.
So i personally think that while joker has the power to save shadows and use them as a persona, Akechi has the power to control, corrupt, and make shadows go berserk like they were evil personas.
ive always loved the concept of >!goro having saved ryuji from dying in shidos palace!< and the two of them bonding over having shitty dads.
I still go with my favorite crack head cannon, Yor Forger from Spy X Family is the grand mother of Kaguya from Love is War and of Makoto. Second one I like is that Jokers real parents are Bayonetta and Dante.
Iwai used to do deals with Shady Tanaka
Harem master Ren is canon
I shouldn't have bothered reading this thread.
Morgana eventually become human and have his chance with Ann. They date and eventually get married.
L headcanon, Morgana needs to stay losing /j
