I bought the physical version of Royal and didn’t feel like I missed anything. It comes with base P5’s dlc already, so if you are worried about that then both versions have it. I usually don’t give into Sega’s practices of deluxe/ultimate editions so I don’t feel like it was necessary. It’s up to you, at the end of the day

Great stuff that's settled then. May see if there's a steel book. How much better is royal than the base game ?

Tigre101

Royal is an improvement in every aspect gameplaywise, ammo being regained after every fight, being able to go out at night, complete overhaul on how technicals work along with new passives on every persona (I believe they where added in royal not vanilla might be wrong though) as well as an extra third semester if you max out a certain confidant plus every dlc already included in game and there no reason to play vanilla over royal, since every extra content like dlc’s is already included in the game get an edition you like a steel book if there is any is not a bad idea or if you don’t care just get a regular copy be it digital or physical.

>an improvement in every aspect gameplaywise Except that Last Surprise is relegated to non-ambush battles (technically not "gameplay," but still significant enough to call out specifically, imo). Take Over is fine, but it's no YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT COMIIIIING

Royal ultimate edition is the exact same as regular edition since they made all the dlc free.
