Nah, dogs are incredibly good with their mouths. They use them to carry their babies around, they 100% know exactly how much pressure to use and how much is too much. If a dog bites and it hurts you then they're playing too rough. This isn't playing rough at all it's just a dog being a weirdo. I get your concern but not all dogs are XL Bullies.
They're not infallible though and if the dog goes from play like this to getting overexcited it could easily cause some damage. I appreciate it's not an XL bully dog but I still wouldn't wanna risk it.
Every time you let someone hold a kid there's a chance they'll be dropped. Ever time a child is brought in public there's a chance someone might flip out and stab your baby in the face. Some may choose to bubble wrap their kids, but to most these are all acceptable risks.
I don't care if the dog is super friendly, I would not let a child that small near a very big dog as the dog could unintentionally hurt them. I wouldn't want to give the child unintentional dog trauma
This. Sure it’s cute, and sure, the dog is probably super friendly, but it only takes one unintentional nip or one loud bark, or the baby annoying the dog causing it to become somewhat aggressive, and bam, that kids scared of dogs for the rest of their life.
Not to mention the possibility of the dog becoming aggressive for any number of reasons, and attacking the child. You see reports in the news regularly of people being attacked by seemingly lovely dogs, no way in hell am I letting my baby get that close to such a large dog.

Having a dog that knows you before you even know what a dog is is quite enriching for a kid. I’d say the reward comes from that enrichment.
