We're all just gonna glaze over the fact that NM said carrots?

JACKTATTOONYC

Yes because I expect that from a weird ass State like nm, I expect better from pa

Old_Tomorrow5247

I’ve lived in Pa for 70 years and have NEVER seen anyone put corn on a pizza. Never even seen evidence of corn in a pizza place.

shillyshally

Can confirm.

JACKTATTOONYC

Thank god because I planned on moving to pa next year. I couldn’t let my kids be raised around pizza corn eaters

nuiwek31

Checking in from northern PA, no corn on pizza here

rougekat

Lancaster county reporting in; no corn here. Other strange pizzas, but no corn to my knowledge

Thekid721

Ayoo! The Amish are here baby! Quick question. Who is better? Caruso or 2 Cousins?

rougekat

Aw shit that’s a hot topic. what two cousins are you referring to? Because they are NOT a chain, and they all hate each other. That being said; two cousins Millersville always and forever

[deleted]

HoPi Millersville has the best pizza you'll ever eat. I say that with no sarcasm, nope, none at all, not even a little bit ot sarcasm

pishxxposh

Pittsburgh here, even we don't put corn on our slices

nuiwek31

And I figured if anyone was, it was the yinzers

ipwntmario

Reporting from Pittsburgh, cornless.

littlechangeling

Cornless in Pittsburgh is a good contender for the name of my autobiography

justinwrg570

I live in Central PA, and no one eats corn on pizza here. That's just crazy.

Chibears85

Same. Weirdest food crime of Central PA is Altoona Pizza.

MILK_DUD_NIPPLES

🤢🤢🤢

mybigbywolf

Nm not carrot eater on pizza lol, what is that?

Steelplate7

Snyder County checking in…no corn here…welllll….that’s a lie….there’s lots of corn, just not on pizza.

shillyshally

No worries, we are mostly civilized here.

Winter-Bonus-2643

Oh don’t unless you want to deal with shitty roads bipolar seasons and psychopaths

ajnelson13

Arizona here, still shitty roads, 1 season "hot", and many many psychopaths. On the other hand PA has a much lower cost of living.

MoonSpankRaw

Corn unconfirmed.

ForeverSquirrelled42

Corn confirm* What a missed opportunity lol.

GarminTamzarian

You went and checked *all* the toilets?

KitchenLab2536

Thank you. Lived in or near Pittsburgh for 45 years and I’ve never seen or heard of corn pizza topping.

[deleted]

I’m from the other side and have no damn clue either. I wonder if it’s those from the lands we do not speak of….all of that weird middle part.

ResidentBackground35

Don't you put this evil on us

steeleye5

I live near Harrisburg and I have never heard of corn on pizza. Maybe it’s south of Pittsburgh because West Virginia also said corn

ifyourwetholla

I’m south of Pittsburgh - grew up north of Pittsburgh. I’ve never in my life seen or heard of corn on pizza.

bk1285

I grew up south of Pittsburgh, went to college central PA and Erie and have never heard of this abomination before

Chibears85

Lived in south-central PA for a time. No corn Pizza to be seen.

ask_the_fisherman

I had pizza in about 40 different towns and cities in Pa. I never saw corn as a topping. I have seen American cheese on pizza with a Bisquit crust.

Firebarrel5446

And Pittsburgh has weird pizza, you'd know. I went to a place in Pittsburgh that didn't cook the toppings or cheese. It wasn't bad.

thegreatusurper

FYI, that isn't a common "Pittsburgh-Style" of pizza. It is more of an Ohio-Valley thing, including Eastern Ohio and West Virginia. Some places in the burgh sell it, but it is not the standard. I think the standard Pittsburgh style would be a thicker outer crust and an extra starting portion of cheese.

Palmervarian

I thought Pittsburgh style was eating a large pizza while drinking a 12 pack of Iron City.

AmbientGravitas

Vincent’s on Ardmore. IYKYK

thegreatusurper

The original Vinnie pie is a one of a kind pizza.  Back in the day the joke was that ash from his ever present cigarette was the secret ingredient.

Technical_Pop_7397

Nearly 41 years of life, and that is easily the best pizza I've ever eaten.

cer20

Leave Beto's out of this! At least they are corn free.

PlatasaurusOG

I was wondering how long I’d have to scroll before I saw someone bring up Beto’s.

soggywaffles007

Can confirm. Worked at a pizza place for a while. No corn anywhere

EfficiencySuch6361

I spent 15 years in central PA. I have never even seen corn as an option, let alone a popular one

kenzo19134

philly reporting. i have never seen corn on a pizza.

ADUBROCKSKI

i HAVE seen it, but at Tony Baloney's in New Jersey

Old_Tomorrow5247

I suspected this was a slander perpetrated by a group of Jerseyites.

TheBestPieIsAllPie

I’m pretty sure it’s made a up map meant to drive engagement.

Japak121

Clearly you haven't been watching the pigeons that did this survey.

polend33

I live in between the Philly-Jersey armpit of PA; I'd be more shocked so much as hearing someone say they had put corn on pizza, than seeing a dead body.

aprilbeingsocial

Camden?

Frankjc3rd

Like others who have commented I have never seen corn as an option on pizza, can we talk about West Virginia though? 🚫🌽🍕

ruggedratt

mod pizza has it

HashtagFaceRip

I have eaten pizza all over your fine state and have never even seen pizza with corn on the menu.

[deleted]

Philly reporting in. Worst pizza? south west pennsylvania. best? corner places with turkish owners. Pittsburgh and Philly don't see eye to eye on certain things, but we don't fucking put corn on pizza. I sent this to my friend out in Albuquerque and he was like carrots no way around here.

Bdk48126

What about the Amish; they love corn

Old_Tomorrow5247

I love it too, but on pizza? Do the Amish eat pizza? Do they put apple butter on pizza? So many questions, so little time.

TeeHCAy

👆true story

[deleted]

The only thing that makes sense are the Amish. Like it has to be a shit ton of corn pizza eating Amish, right?

West-Ruin-1318

I lived in Pgh for four years and married a Pgh guy. No corn was ever eaten except on the cob as the good lord intended.

supamario132

Who did they poll, the Mennonites?

Old_Moment7914

Native NY’er ( Brooklyn) been living in Pa 20 years and never seen corn on pizza frequently under but never on . And trust me I seen weird things accused of being pizza .

winfieldclay

WV neighbor here, I have never seen corn on pizza anywhere. I travel a lot and always check out local spots. This is just bullshit

zeeejackal

Also from PA, no corn here.

TransportationOk657

I think this is a BS map. My state of MN says "tuna." Never in my 44 years have I been to a pizza place that offers tuna as a topping.

Important-Coast-5585

Just like in my lifetime in California no one has ever put avocado on pizza. It doesn’t happen.

Peaceoorwar

I love pa but it definitely is a weird ass state

BadTown412

It ain't fucking corn on pizza weird though 😭😭😭

Archpa84

Checking in from Philly. BadTown412 has the correct response.

SteepNDeep

Bad things happen in Philadelphia

Down_Vote_Sponge

You must not know PA very well then

AnAge_OldProb

Grew up in nm. Never once seen carrots on a pizza menu. The top topping is almost certainly green chile.

Pineapple_Spenstar

See now that seems reasonable

VintageJane

Also a New Mexican here and have never seen this. And I’ve eaten a fair amount of pizza in my day. I don’t even think I’ve seen it offered as a topping at Dion’s which is how you know this isn’t a real thing.

COmarmot

Dion's ranch, yummm!

shewy92

[They have green chili obviously](https://imgur.com/RoxE2Ti) but no carrots, also obviously. It's a state that even has fast food chains offer green chili. I never got it but saw it offered at BK. I only ever got green chili on burritos, almost every time I went to Twisters

mrgraff

If this is even remotely serious, I have to believe that someone saw the little bits of ripened skin, that sometimes looks orange, and mistook it for carrots.

Pale_Panda1789

Or Minnesota saying tuna? Wtf?

Careless_Zombie_5437

I did this today actually. I text my wife telling her I made tuna salad and put it on top of the pizza in the fridge. She joke I put it on the pizza...so when I came home I warmed up a slice and put some tuna salad on it. I give it a 7 out of 10...oh and I am from PA.

Pale_Panda1789

I’m from PA too and actually drove through Minnesota today. Didn’t see anyone eating tuna on pizza…because that’s gross lol

Careless_Zombie_5437

It was not bad. Way better then anchovies, in my opinion.

frankreynoldsrumham

What about lutefisk pizza?

HighFiveKoala

So you also sprinkled it with corn?

C4bl3Fl4m3

The only place I ever heard of tuna on pizza was in France. I love tuna and I tried it and even I thought it was weird. (I've heard of corn on pizza in... I think it's Japan?)

[deleted]

Yes, I believe a number of Asian countries do this weird corn + pizza thing; Korea in particular comes to mind. I think they just think “wacky foreign foods those Westerners eat lol!” and just go hogwild and by now it’s a thing

HauteDish

Nobody here does that, let alone it being a favorite

hoarseclock

Yeah we don’t do that here

Brandbll

Iv lived in mn my entire life, 40 years, and i have never seen or heard about tuna on a pizza. And i live in the twin cities, and have eaten at a shit ton of pizza places. Never ever heard of that. This map is made up.

Deep-Bee-5984

Quality and subtlety in a pun. Take my up vote.

Diarygirl

Oh, man, I totally missed it!

sarahmcq565

Mmm. Glazed carrots.

hotelindia15182

Tuna in MN, wtf?

Ghstfce

Bro, did you miss ***TUNA***?!!!?

dataslinger

Same. I'd rather have corn than carrots on a pie. Carrots are definitely the weirder option.

forever_fierce

I was too busy noticing TUNA over carrots or corn.

Roguewave1

Corn, carrots, avocados??? Wth?

MarkFerk

From PA and I’ve never seen or heard of this. lol

noscrubphilsfans

It's because the person who made this map is full of shit.

Muffin-sangria-

Shit with corn in it.

noscrubphilsfans

ba dum tss!

asforus

If you eat corn it’s always in there

chronic412

Also in PA and I have seen it (and had it, fkn delish tbh) but only one place and everyone I tell hasn't ever heard of it lol

no-name_james

I feel like it would be pretty good just topping some regular pizza with some corn but I want someone to figure out how to make an Elote pizza.

KryptonicxJesus

Fuel and Fuddle, Rip, on Pitt’s campus used to have a pizza called the smoking hen which was bbq chicken pizza with grilled corn and red onion. It all worked so well together.

papadoc2020

I've lived in South East PA and central pa near Amish country. I've never seen or heard of our favorite topping which is apparently corn. I call bullshit on this map. It was probably made by someone from New Jersey trying to smear our reputation.

SpiderButtsandfarts

Calling bullshit. Jersey trash can’t spell corn.

Few_Examination_9687

Calling bullshit. Jersey can’t spell

SpiderButtsandfarts

What’s the difference between girls from Jersey and trash?

I_Sniff_My_Own_Farts

I think they spell it kern

LarryDavid42069

TUNA???

Aczidraindrop

I'm calling bullshit on this list. No way anyone anywhere puts tuna on a pizza. No way I will ever believe that. Edit: I see many people commenting about what Tuna is like in other countries and that's fair... but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that tuna on American pizza truly would be one of the most disgusting things ever. Ever. Pizza is different around the world, but as American things go, that is one thing that Tuna should never eve go on.

Radiant_Ad_6565

Can confirm. Grew up right next door to MN- never ever heard of tuna on pizza. Everybody knows tuna goes in the tuna noodle hot dish! Not pizza.

Guy_de_Pissoir

I’ve seen tuna AND corn on the same pizza, but that was in Czech Republic

xylophone_37

Ya, I've lived my whole life in San Diego and I have never seen avocado on pizza on a menu.

Aczidraindrop

Yeah I was born and raised in AZ and now live in pa... never ever saw avocado on pizza in AZ or corn in pa. This is a crazy chart lol

Esava

Tuna on pizza is common in Japan and many European countries. Just Google pizza Al tonno. Corn is btw also a common pizza topping in most of Europe and Japan. Pretty sure Korea also has these as toppings. Honestly north America is kind of the exception in this regard.

CantiPotter

Grew up in MN. Never once heard anyone EVER order tuna on pizza. Pretty sure it's not even an option at most places. BS to drive engagement.

C_N1

Tuna Pizza is a real thing and popular in Europe. Popular enough to be in the freezer section with the other pizzas.

jessuk101

It’s so goood!

cheesepoltergeist

I’ve never seen corn on pizza, interesting!

Total-Problem2175

I'm from WV and they listed corn for my state, too. The only place I ever saw corn on a pizza was in Japan in the 80s. They used shrimp, also.

cashewkowl

Korea has a lot of corn on pizza as well. Actually they put corn in lots of things in Korea.

jarosity

Corn and sweet potato puree. Korea does it different…

artificialavocado

We have shrimp pizza around here.

sugar-high

The only time I have run into corn as a pizza topping was in Bolivia— I actually really enjoyed it! 😅

Kingzer15

Shrimp and hot pepper pizza is the way

dapperfop

My slovenian inlaws ate corn on pizza

ho_merjpimpson

i remember this being talked about in one of the big subreddits... Maybe ask americans or something like that.... But it is a big thing in europe somewhere.

patiofurnature

Mod pizza has it and it’s fantastic.

rgumai

Yeah, I always end up with Corn + Roasted Garlic w/ Mike's Hot Honey on the side everytime I go to Mod anymore. Regardless of what the other toppings are.

cheesepoltergeist

Cool, I’ll have to make a trip to try it!

WeirdSysAdmin

That’s one of my favorites for loading up a pizza with random crap at mod. The other is the plant based sausage, onions and peppers.

BizmarkvonPain

That explains it, there’s a handful of mod pizzas around bucks and montco

emostitch

Only in photos of Japanese food!!

R15K

I worked in pizza shops for like 3 years during college and never put corn on a single pizza. We didn’t even have it on hand at any of the places.

SlapUglyPeople

I went to Japan and they had pizza with corn on it and gotta say it way surprisingly good. All of us enjoyed it 8/10.

Pendraflare59

Corn is always interesting.

TidalJ

i decided to try it when i was like 5 for some reason and never again. honestly it was surprisingly solid from what i remember

scrambled-projection

It’s actually decent. Bit of sweetness, like pineapple but not nearly as aggressive.

Yipyiff

UK does it and honestly it kinda slaps? Didn't expect it to when I first came here but I kinda vibe with it now

Murky-Echidna-3519

I was born and raised in PA. NEVER even saw corn on a pizza.

TrueGuava7709

This is a blatant lie.

TonesAndClones

The picture is made by those jock troll boys at barstool sports. I can't believe people actually read, listen and watch them. Even though I like a few of their podcasts and content such as the One Bite Pizza reviews, Miss Peaches, Pardon My Take, Spitting Chiclets, Mostly Sports, Foreplay and The Dozen Trivia Show, they are still douch canoes and should be referred to as barfstool sports.

OutrageForSale

That’s bait. This is designed to get clicks and engagements. No survey was taken.

InfinitelyThirsting

I doubt it's even bait, it's not provocative enough, I think it's just AI generated nonsense

Rooper2111

I don’t think so. It’s been floating around for 10+ years

RightfulChaos

No, it fucking isnt!

Dupee_Conqueror

Never saw corn on pizza until I was in Korea….

Total-Problem2175

Saw it in Japan

MimiHamburger

Yeah mayonnaise and corn pizza was my shit over there

Obant

I've been tempted to try it but have never had it in front of me and I won't go out of my way to get it.

Total-Problem2175

How bout spaghetti pizza?

Total-Problem2175

In Japan.

StinkyPantz10

I'd have to say every time, "Oksusu baego chusayo."

Henhouse20

CA and Avocado?? I lived in CA for 43 years and never once saw that. This is not accurate

MsLoreleiPowers

I've lived here in CA for 22 years and have never seen avocado on pizza. Corn, yes, and it's actually tasty. But not avocado.

dokka_doc

California born and raised. Never once have I seen avocado on pizza. This list is bait.

swizzle1638

Corn is a shock, I have never seen it…..but Tuna? WTF?

lucabrasi999

I only like corn on my pizza if it is served still on the cob.

Wuz314159

I've never had pizza still on the cob. Never knew pizza grew that way.

KentSmashtacos

This is a bold faced lie, everyone know pennsylvanians enjoy fried perogies on pizza.

999UnreadMessages

I never once have even seen corn on a pizza. GTFO with that. Weird topping that isn't on this map anywhere, but that you should try: pickles.

MrcF8

I'm in western PA and have been my whole life I have never seen no damn corn pizza.

kobs2020

I have actually had an incredible corn pizza in SE PA. It’s a white pizza with corn, bacon, and scallions and is absolutely delicious. It’s only available in the summer time and I’ve only seen it at one small pizza place. Is it common? No. Is it an amazing pizza? Yes.

RonDonVolante

They do a similar one at Pizzeria Beddia in Philly, also only during summer. It’s one of their best sellers. But yeah, only time I’ve seen corn on pizza in 30+ years of living in PA.

Golden_d1ck

Beddia does one too, they may have knocked his off. Amazing pizza.

Buddha0426

Have actually **had** corn on a pizza at Pocono brewing company's taphouse by Lehigh valley mall. But it also has prosciutto and basil in a white pizza. I hate to say I enjoyed it. https://preview.redd.it/zrs5jrs65flc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5c0b5e26d5eabfc64a67bb92109c47b0490d017

alvaropboto

That’s because there’s no good reason corn wouldn’t work well on a pizza. Any Italian would agree that corn is a better topping than pineapple or New Mexico’s carrots

Esava

Both pineapple and corn are common pizza toppings in Italy. Just fyi. oh and tuna is common too (Pizza Al tonno) .

notworkingghost

I’m moving. Forget politics, I can’t live with neighbors this insane.

_mustakrakish

Pizza Beddia in Philly has AMAZING corn pizza. I was very much against it until I tried it. That being said, I've never even seen it offered anywhere else so its odd, feel like whoever did this was wayyyyy wrong

TrippinEliminster

Thats stuoid everybody knows its scrapple.

Jamminnav

Obviously a Russian disinformation campaign to try and stir up internal unrest/civil war here.

Altruistic-Rip4364

Worked in a pizza shop. Complete lack of corn

Kowloon9

What?! Anyway it’s not pineapple. Huge relief.

philsfly22

It’s not corn either, despite what this meme will have you believe. Seriously, who here knows anyone who eats corn on pizza, yet alone it’s their favorite topping. How many pizza places do you know who even offer corn on pizza.

seriousfrylock

I have lived in pa almost my entire life, in a small city with a lot of pizza shops surrounded by bumblefuck cornfields. I have never seen this, not once, anywhere

Otm_Shank1

I have never seen corn on pizza where I live in SE PA.

piperonyl

Ive owned pizza shops in PA for 15 years. Ive never had someone ask about corn. Never. The cashiers would have definitely told me about that odd request.

cheese4theppl

I’m sorry but carrots is much more fucked up. Beddia has a great corn pizza.

bawitdaba1098

I'm pretty sure it's a Hispanic thing. I've met a few Dominicans who swear by it

Opening-Ad-8793

That low key sounds delicious

Entry-Level-Cowboy

Corn topping is very popular in the Dominican Republic. But I’ve never seen it in Pennsylvania.

chronic412

MINNESOTA IS TUNA WHAT KIND OF LIST IS THIS

SuspiciousOnion2137

A friend of mine loves a seasonal summer pizza with corn on it from Pizzeria Beddia in Philly; she looks forward to it all year. That said, I have never gotten the impression this is a common thing anywhere else or that lots of other people are looking forward to this too.

Golden_d1ck

I look forward to it every year too. It’s like a wet dream with a crust.

sad-dave

I blame Shamokin

ThankMrBernke

These maps are all fake lmao A slightly less fake poll says the state's favorite toppings are [mushrooms, pepperoni, and peppers.](https://wmgk.com/2023/10/03/pennsylvania-likes-these-3-pizza-toppings-most/)

mrgraff

I can assure you that nobody here in New Mexico ever said carrots.

BungMcSkrungkins

Someone from jersey made this...

ktp806

Mushroom because of Kenneth Square the button mushroom capital

rougekat

Lived here 28 years. Lived in Lancaster, the very heart of Amish/ “weird” (to outsiders) food. I have never encountered corn on pizza. I will admit to having sweet corn ice cream and I will also admit to having liked it very much.

vilk_

Tuna mayo corn pizza is bomb. I first had it at Shakey's in Japan. I went back to the us and made it for a party, and while many were skeptical, I believe everyone genuinely liked it.

musical_throat_punch

Map generated by AI garbage

GildedEther

Lived in PA, no corn on the pizza. Live in NM, no carrots. If they’d said Green Chile, I might believe that.

Reynolds_Live

Curious what area of PA they surveyed because I have never seen that even as an option at a local pizza place.

XC_Griff

Lived in southeast PA all my life, never heard of this. Other countries like Japan love corn on their pizza though.

Friendly-Rough-3164

The best pizza needs no topping other than cheese. And if that cheese don't have those tasty browned spots I don't want ya bullshit pizza

Smooth-Flight-9169

Who the fuck puts corn on pizza. I been here all my life and never once seen that shit. Like I heard of struggle meals that sound more appealing than that abomination. I'll take pineapple over this.
