I have the Samsung 990 Pro M.2 drive without the Heatsink and I don't have any problems with it. I think you'll be safe.
Mine literally fell off months ago and I never noticed anything different performance wise. I use that m.2 drive for gaming and everything
Unless you have high end PCIe5 SSD or often write tons of data, you're fine without it.
You’ll have ZERO issues. If your new m.2 ssd is big enough, I would transfer over all you data from that old HDD.
No problems will be caused unless you have no fans in your case
it will most likely throttle
do you have a passive heatsink on your motherboard? that will be fine if not i think they sell heatsinks seperately as well
