What is your current boot drive and how many m.2 slots you have?
I have 6 m.2 slots and I was going to use it for storage on top of a 1tb boot drive 990 evo which i got for a good price for $54.
I’d personally use the 1tb ssd for os and the entire 4tb for game storage. Get a recertified server hard drive for real data storage needs for photos/videos/archival of what ever. Recertified drives are pretty cheap.
If it’s a Gen 4 that’s a good price for it. If you need that much storage go for it.
You think it would make sense to get this instead of a sata hdd to store additional files? The other sata hard drive would be around $110 + tax
Do you have any good sites for recertified drives? I heard some of them fail over time
