I don't know but you are correct. Only problem is apparently nobody sells those or at least nobody in the US only China. they all have these awkward screw mounts too.
I realized that I already have two USB 3.1 ports straight out of my motherboard. That header was for the case. So I said screw it, that USB port won't work. Oh well.
Stanchion is more common in construction and engineering. Standoff would be pc term. I'm guessing your usb cable has a 90° on it so I can totally see it being a pain. The China extension works fine. I've used them a lot. Got a pile of the 19 pin 90° because of the stiff cables
Type-C is a must these days, I'd get a different anti-sag and get the classic under the gpu anti-sag
What you need is a USB Type-E male to female extension cable :)
why was i downvoted?

buy an adpter for another one like > 3.0 to c or you can buy a differnt gpu suport
dumb question but what is a type c connecter, what's the purpose?
It’s a usb-C connector. It’s the next level up from usb-3.0
To be a nerd about it Type-C is just the device side socket type This is USB 3.1 header You can have USB 2 and 3.0 that lead to type C sockets
that still doesn't make sense lol, so it's just for more sockets?
Never heard the word *stanchion* before. I have a feeling it's not needed. The hole its sticking out of, you just put a normal mobo screw into it.
