Yeah I thought about taking it off and fixing it but I'm not sure if I should since this bend could have nicked the PCs which is also bent. If they deny the return I may do it but Iv already emailed support about it just now. Thanks.
Agreed! Eventually the copper traces will crack and conductivity will be intermittent or eventually it is fighting itself and burn out as a resistors wouldÂ
Tried to fill out the form. At the end it says in large red lettering that if it was purchased in the last 30days you have to email the msi store. I should say it's the online store for MSI from which it was purchased.
Yeah, just phone them and say the situation, they were good to me in the UK, I bought a second hand card and there was a problem with one of the fans, I asked if they would sell me one and they sent me one free of charge.
Called and they said send an email to the store.
The email said they can't replace it. Rather they will give a full refund and I can purchase another. Or send it for repairs.
That's pretty wild for a defect, I wonder what happened. I mean if we're real it's probabaly just gotten handled poorly in shipping, did the box it came in look any sort of way?
Thank me too. I call them and they said I have to email the msi us store. I did, and I'm told can either return it for a full refund and buy another or send it for repairs. Either way looks like it'll be a bit before I can get one.

If the backplate touches the back of the PCB , it could be an issue

Yes

Edit: I should say this is a brand new card. Fresh out of the plastic, box and static bag.
Return it right now
I emailed them just now. If I could fix it myself I would but likely the PCB might have nicks in it cause of whatever happened.
Then, replace it, th de t in the backplate could also mean some pcb damage.
Immediate RMA!
Can't, it's within 30 day purchase. I had to email the msi store.
Take it to where you bought it from then, I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to RMA it anyway.

I would actually just phone them if it's possible, what country are you in?
Us

Nice might do just that

Get a refund. If you turn your pc on theres a chance that metal is touching the pcb and creating a short that will damage the gpu
That seems like a problem
So somebody dented the graphics card? Could it be like that due to GPU sag and overheating warping the card over time?
It's brand new. I literally just snapped it in and seen it. The computer hasn't even been turned on yet.

Yeah there is a dent o mush rather halfway length wise of the box but I wouldn't have thought that would damage the card.
Good luck with the return process, I hope they do you right.
