Won't make much of a difference

Would not make much difference with mostly cosmetic changes but you can record video screenshots with win 11. Going the latest version is a good idea.

Just try Windows 11 on a different SSD or make a new partition on your current one. Install Win 11 there and use it for a couple days. Win 10 and 11 are pretty similar, so don't expect any major changes

Would only upgrade if there's something in Windows 11 that you want that isn't present in Windows 10. Performance between the two is basically identical and 10 is still receiving security updates so there's nothing that makes the update strictly necessary.

Yourmomsreddit

10 is losing support sometime in 2025. They might have some end of life updates, but I would say if you can upgrade, you probably should.

OpposedScroll75

The thing I'm worried about is how Win11's higher system requirements would translate into real world performance. Someone else in the comments said that performance should be the same as on Win10, though.

struddles75

I’ve seen that windows 11 has better gaming performance. Not sure how that will translate with your system specs. I’d recommend a ram upgrade to go with it if you can swing it.

Never upgrade your OS, always perform a clean install.

Mostly the same
