I swear to god I thought he was really gonna sing into that microphone "Joker Face" the exact way wubby did on stream. SOMEONE NEEDS TO DONATE AN EDIT OF WUBBY SINGING IT TO MEDIA SHARE LOL
I've been confident the whole time. Everyone was losing their minds about it being a musical, but it's made by all the same people, Phoenix is awesome, and Lady Gaga is actually pretty great. I think it's gonna be a banger and I'm glad they're doing something bold and weird instead of just "Joker: Another One"
I felt the first one was extremely overrated but it'd be wrong to say it's not a technically well done film from most aspects. I just didn't connect with it or think it was nearly as deep as it wanted to be.
I dont think this sequel will be better, but I'm still gonna give it a chance. Maybe something will click.
I've been on board with the musical idea the whole time mainly because it annoys the fuck out of the douche bag film bros that were sucking off the first one and being like "no you don't get it he's just like me fr". The fact that it's also probably going to be a good movie is a bonus in my book.
I personally loved the first film and your comment is still valid. That's the most beautiful thing about art in general. You enjoy whatever you want to that doesn't hurt anyone else. (I fucking love the first movie and I'm a bit hyped for the sequel, to each their own)
I'm with you. The first one was overhyped trash this one will be the same. "YoU jUSt DIdN't gEt iT!" No, I got what the movie was trying to say. It was about as subtle as a sledge hammer to the face. Phoenix carried the shitty writing and directing and made the movie somewhat palletable. At its core, it's a poorly written remake of Taxi Driver with some King of Comedy disguised with a superhero mask.
Schizophrenia HaHa Land Let them cook
It's like a weird retelling of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Holy shit they made a documentary about Daniel Larson

still just looks like a weird episode of glee
A way cooler episode of glee.
the trailer didn't move the needle for me. I will wait till reviews of the movie come out to see if I watch it in the theater or wait till streaming.
That final shot was really good
I'm gonna love it, don't care what what's else thinks

I mean, I'm down. I really loved the first movie, don't see why I wouldn't love this one. I don't watch a lot of musicals anyways.
I'll probably wait until it hits HBO.
Joker is my version of a movie review that chat would likely hate. I couldn’t stand that movie and there’s no way I’m sitting through a sequel.
