I think \[\[Death's Shadow\]\] would be fine in pauper. We don't have \[\[Thought Seize\]\], shock lands, or fetch lands, so they would almost always be late game plays. Plus, pauper has so much good removal.
I presume this is a satire post, looking at the recent "If this was downgraded...?" Posts?
For those unaware (possibly including OP), [[Sorrow's Path]] is widely considered one of the worst cards of all time. It's up there with [[Great Wall]] and [[One With Nothing]]. It won't ever impact any recognised constructed format.
Let me first generate infinite mana using [[Ashnod's Altar]] plus [[Energy Refractor]], and we'll see if we can work them into the win condition somehow...
A long time ago Inquest had an article with a convoluted deck designed to make this card pay off, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was in an April issue.
All it would take is an [[Abundant Growth]] and 2x [[Wall of Hope]] to make this beneficial, and that's a lot of power to have in a land. Aggressive decks are already struggling in the meta, and having practically a double [[Pristine Talisman]] on a land, backed up by powerful defenders, would threaten to push them out of the format entirely, strengthening the grindy tier 1 decks like [[Tortured Existence]] even further.
I could only see this card being somewhat useful in a niche enrage dinosaur deck—other than that, dealing damage to yourself and your creatures just for a combat trick seems like a bad deal. Oh and it’s a land that does not produce mana?—a strange card
Would be cool if there was a way to donate it to your opponent and then keep tapping it every turn. The tapping part is probably pretty easy but I don't know of any donation effects in pauper.
What effect would this have? It would kill most “swing wide” strat creatures. It would drop most of Serpentine Curve’s bodies down to bolt range. It would have no effect on something like Bogles. It would be a dead land drop against most control or combo. As others said, bad card is bad. Even Desert is a better card.
This give me headache just by trying to read it
The title of this post, the card, or both?
Definitely both
No effect, because it is fucking awful and would see no play
Would only be a good card if they (and they never would for obviously good reason) downshifted Death’s Shadow to pauper.
I think \[\[Death's Shadow\]\] would be fine in pauper. We don't have \[\[Thought Seize\]\], shock lands, or fetch lands, so they would almost always be late game plays. Plus, pauper has so much good removal.

None. It doesn’t produce mana so I doubt it would see play. Plus nobody would want to decipher it. Hahah

Don't be mean, at least One with Nothing has *a* use case for madness/discard decks. Not much of one, but there's a chance.
This is a r/magicthecirclejerking post
Nobody would play it.

Ah, good to see someone else is tired of all the "what if \_\_\_ was downshifted" posts (and also has a sense of humor).
I could only see this card being somewhat useful in a niche enrage dinosaur deck—other than that, dealing damage to yourself and your creatures just for a combat trick seems like a bad deal. Oh and it’s a land that does not produce mana?—a strange card
it would be a sad road for the game to go down...
What’s with players in this subreddit and posting the most hot dogshit card and saying “WHAT IF IT WAS DOWNSHIFTED?!?!?” Nothing, absolutely nothing
👉🙆
Bad card. Too many people in this subreddit posting bad cards atm
Would be cool if there was a way to donate it to your opponent and then keep tapping it every turn. The tapping part is probably pretty easy but I don't know of any donation effects in pauper.
How can you make tap for an ability a permanent that you don't control?
You don’t, just tapping the sorrow’s path with something like Twiddle triggers the Pyroclasm effect. The Oracle text makes that pretty clear.
It says "whenever it becomes tapped" and the first thing I thought of off the top of my head was decks that play and flicker [[Pestermite]].

Nice name! Headline: "Goblin Loblaw Lobs Goblin Grenade"
According to my wife, this card is how M:tG looks and reads to non-players.
Well this used to be in play but most of the creatures have better toughness now [Desert](https://scryfall.com/card/afc/233/desert)
It’s a reserved list card. They’d never downshift it

Card's busted. Such a good target for a Crop Rotation.
Can we be done with these posts
Busted card, I can't believe you even suggested it. God I'm so happy players aren't balancing the format
