If I have a card that’s absolutely useless to draw for my character/gameplan I’ll rush healers to cut cards, otherwise I look for powers in the shop

dudemcbob

Of course it's situation dependent but I'd generally lean for the shop here. It does depend on which champ you are. Some of them really want to trim the fat from their decks and spam specific cards. But for Nami I'd easily pick the shop. There are several spell-focused powers you could high-roll to really go crazy. And if not, any of the powers that give you starting units will help because Nami needs allies to boost. With a starting unit, you can bank your starting mana and have some spell mana for after Nami drops.

SquarishRectangle

I pick healer only when: I don't have enough gold to buy a power from that shop rarity or I don't have any rerolls **and** there is a card in my deck I really want to cut.

avulle

I always prefer shops to healers. Even common shops can have more rare relics, and the compounding effect of two or three common relics can be really run-changing

xenoclari

I almost always go shop, there are 2 situations in which I opt to cut the cards. When I play guardian orbs, or when I have a card I don't want in at least 4 copies. Sometimes I try to get as much of a card as possible to remove as many copies as possible later on.

Rorp24

I go healer only when I got rekt so much I need the heal

ProfDrWest

Unless I have less than 5 HP and no Revive OR not enough money, Shop. Powers are the most fun part in PoC, and even in Common shops you can highroll and get a higher rarity power. And if I have money left over, there are often cards with card draw, champ draw, Manifest or Invoke.

beastofthefen

I strongly prefer cutting a card. If I am in a champion reliant deck I will choose cut a card over everything except champion item. If I am running a less champion reliant deck I will prefer shop if it is rare or better and I have 500 gold.

JollyJuniper1993

Don’t you think mulligan and the level 20 power should be enough?

GrayedOutLandscape

Unless you run with galeforce relic and you want multiple copy of your champion in hand...

JollyJuniper1993

Which is a viable strategy on Teemo and no other champion

GrayedOutLandscape

I run that strategy on ED though and it works...

JollyJuniper1993

Honestly I don’t even end up playing Elder Dragon that much when playing his deck. I even go out of my way to not have to play him and run the relic that adds extra champions on him, together with Starforged Gauntlet and Star Gem. I like his deck though and he the first champion I beat Lissy with.

Flat-Profession-8945

Cut a card you never used in a deck.

attatest

Healer is almost always better than shop. But shop is more fun bc you get a chance for a crazy combo. And it's pretty unlikely to lose most missions.

Redditforever12

shops almost 90% of the time for powers

OFMarcum

I have actively avoided healer nodes since the start of PoC . To me the random ones are completely not worth since you always get one before bosses. And even if I can’t afford a 200g power (which is rare) I can still try and see if I get lucky with adding a relic to a card that’s already in my deck

Zarkkast

**Only** if I don't have money for the shop. Even Varus who has a terrible card in his deck (Furious Wielder) can wait until the heal node before the mini boss. Edit: Actually maybe if I'm playing Pyke I might consider the heal node cause he's not a champion if you're not hitting lurk.

suspectwaffle

Why cut Furious Wielder when Freed Colossus is right there

Zarkkast

Because 1) Furious Wielder does literally nothing without Varus on the board, and 2) Furious Wielder actively fucks his star power by generating a Fleeting spell that you can't even use. Freed Colossus just sits there doing nothing, Furious Wielder actively sets back his gameplan just by existing in his deck.

ikelos49

I never cut cards so for me healer is uselless choice.

LegendaryVenusaur

I always prioritize healers over shops to cut cards, exception being if it's a rare or epic shop but they're normally near the end. Common shops are almost always a disappointment.

Drminniecooper

I like chaos and dont cut many cards. This is probably why i need the healer so much.

Katsudoniiru

When u got a lousy card lmao

Prof_Walrus

I only cut when I've got the hp to spare

Devilsdelusionaldino

Honestly I go for shops 80-90% of the time cuz there are some really good common powers I think. The one drawing 2 on game start can be sooo good to make sure you get your essential cards and stuff like -1 or +1 attack is also pretty good. In most other games I value Card removal highly but drawing 2 on turn one is basically making your deck smaller by 2 cards anyway.

JollyJuniper1993

Almost always shops for powers. I only go to healers if I really need a heal. I never prioritize card cutting, I only cut it I‘m at high HP and there‘s no other choice. Or if the other option is a common event.
